Original car with the exception of hydraulic brakes. This is older restoration of a very solid older original car. Factory original working radio. New tires and tubes, battery, gas gauge , wiring as needed with reproduction wiring harness last year. Since it is older restoration top and chrome grill reflect their age but as you can see from the pictures this car is in good condition. Good engine, fun car to drive. This is a low production model and the last year with side curtains. Pictures will be added tomorrow.

First off, to clear the confusion of the year model, this is a 1937 model. The only difference in the three years are the grills and hoods. I didn’t really like the 37 grill, but a 35 will not fit the 37 hood, so I found a nice 35 grill, cut the 2 grills and mig welded the back half of my 37 grill to the front half of the 35 grill. The truck is all genuine Henry Ford Steel except for the reproduction tail gate. I installed a 1969 Camaro subframe with Hotchkis 2” lowering springs. A 69 Camaro 10 bolt rear end on S10 leaf springs with 3” lowering blocks. The frame was blasted, smoothed up and painted with black base/clearcoat along with all suspension components and then assembled. It has power steering and power front disc brakes. A local machine shop built the .030 over 350 with a mild Lunati Voodoo cam. Topped off with a fully polished aluminum intake, Holley 650 w/ vacuum secondarys, new GM HEI with Accel super coil and module. Hooker shorty headers w/Xlerator turbo mufflers. A turbo 350 was rebuilt and a custom driveshaft was built by a local driveshaft shop. It rolls on 15X7 Truspokes with real knock off spinners. Cooper 215/60R15’s on the front and 295/50R15’s on the back. The tail lights are stainless reproductions with glass lenses and blue dots. New stainless front and rear bumpers. New RCI 17 gallon aluminum fuel tank with filler in the bed. The headlights are NOS Lucas units. The cowl lights are original ones I pulled off a 32 Coupe about 30 years ago. The door handles are off a 29 Cabriolet. The original radiator was modified into a new 4 core by a local radiator shop. Polished billet aluminum flame embossed oval air cleaner and valve covers. Polished alternator, Sanden 508 and pulleys. Dual electric cooling fans. New clear glass was installed in the windshield which still retains the original crank out. New grey smoked door and back glass was installed with power windows. I used a 1969 Camaro tilt column, topped off with a Grant Banjo steering wheel. New Stuart Warner winged gauges. EZ black labeled wiring harness. Autolock 2 speed electric wipers. Southern Air A/C, defroster and heater with in dash vents. A local upholstery shop did a custom interior with a 60/40 seat out of a 1994 Ranger narrowed 2”. There are courtesy lights in the door panels that operate off the door switches. The dome light has the switch on it. The stereo system features a Kenwood receiver with CD player, blutooth, auxilary input and usb input, mounted overhead. It runs through 2 0ld school Rockford Fosgate amps. One pushes a set of Kenwood 5 way 6X9’s mounted below the seats facing your heels. The other pushes a 10” Cerwin Vega between the seats. I removed the original stamped steel bed floor and installed a custom stained and varnished red oak floor. I installed an original old steel trunk for the floor jack, 4 way, towels, etc. All the body panels were blasted, body worked, epoxy sealed and painted with base/clear all separately, then sanded and buffed before assembly. The flames were then laid out, painted base/clear, sanded and buffed then hand outlined with light blue One Shot lettering enamel. When I first did the mock up on this I was sitting, taking a smoke break trying to decide on the paint color. I happened to look up on the wall at a picture I have of Pete Chapouris’ California Kid ( my favorite car of all time) and it hit me, since I live in rural Arkansas and the truck looks more like a 34 Coupe than the 34 trucks do, why not a rural version pickup? And everyone that sees it loves the concept. If the buyer wants, I can wet sand the lettering off and buff it out. I will not do it until it is paid in full and will need a couple of days to do it. The speedo and odometer quit working at about 300 miles, but I have probably driven it about 2000 miles. It lives in the garage and I only take it to local shows, cruise nights, parades, etc. I finally fixed the speedo last weekend. The plastic gear in the side of the tranny was stripped. Put in a new one and that took care of it. Everything works as it should and I would drive it anywhere without worry. A video of it has been loaded on Youtube so you can check it out. Just type in 1937 Ford Arkansas Kid. I have the truck for sale locally, so I reserve the right to stop the auction if it sells. I will require a $1000 non refundable deposit via Paypal within 24 hours of auction end. The balance must be paid within 7 days via cash in hand or Bank wire transfer. If you can’t agree with this, please do not bid. If terms are not met, I will immediately relist it. If you choose the wire transfer option, I can overnight the title to you. It is a clear Arkansas title as a 1937 Ford ½ ton pickup in my name. I can store it locked up inside up to 30 days if you need the time to pick it up or send a transport. I can be available anytime for pickup. Thanks

Up for sale is my 37 Deluxe pickup finished about 2 months ago. Its titled, registered and I have been driving it ever since. They made just over 2000 Deluxe model pickups, trucks and panels combined. I have seen and owned many 37 pickups, this is the first Deluxe that I have had the opportunity to buy that was complete. I have some additional parts that go with it that I chose not to run like the dual horns and spare tire carrier with the lock. These however are not the tough to find parts though. The tough parts to find are the original chrome grille which is excellent and the super hard to find and also in great shape map light in the pass side wiper cover. The deluxe also included dual wipers, stainless hood side trim and a chrome windshield frame also original to the truck. The truck also has a factory heater pull which I have never seen on a pickup. Just like the choke and throttle pull there is one that says heater. The heater valve and pull are present but the device that attaches to the exhaust is not. Enough about the deluxe options, this truck had such cool patina to it I wanted keep it. As you can see excellent rockers and cab corners. The back is really good to but has really small amount of rust about 3-4 inches. I can get a pic if needed. So I had a chassis that had been blasted and painted at a previous date. This chassis has had some repair done but is super solid now. This chassis has all new hydraulic brakes, lines, and hoses with 39 pedals. The breaks stop great and it does not pull. The fuel system is also new and a little updated. New fuel tank and neck with period correct copper lines. I did hide a small quiet electric fuel pump over the rear end to ensure quick starts. I also left the manual pump for visual effect. This feeds a very, very strong 59ab Flathead believed to be an original low mile motor. Never smokes and has great compression in all cylinders. This is backed by the desirable 39 gear box which never has popped out of gear once! I am almost certain this rear end has 3:54 gears as she cruises at 60-65. Tube shocks in the back with a reverse eye slider spring. I took a few leafs out of the front and have no shocks because I feel it rides good this way. I have the mounts and shocks which also can be installed or just go with the truck. All this is cooled by the correct original radiator that has been re-cored and runs cool even in traffic. She has all new wiring front to back with original generator wound for 12 volts. I did not go original wiring with the horn button activating the lights though. Not a real fan of that set up, but has high and low beams with a pull mounted on the dash. This is a bob drake conversion kit. All new glass throughout but the driver door glass is not installed. I did this because the driver door is hurt on the bottom and I have another solid straight door that is included. I was torn as to which door to run because again I like the patina of this one. HOWEVER I will install the glass in this one if the buyer chooses, or install the better door with new glass. This is at no charge. Lastly is the bed. The bed was not original to the truck but is a correct 37 bed. This entire truck is bondo free except a couple small spots on the bed. Very very minimal on the bed only. I welded some 14 gauge 90 degree sheet metal around the perimeter of the bed to allow me to remove the floor out the back with minimal effort and leaves you with a super clean finish. The bed floor is tongue and groove engineered oak hardwood flooring. Distressed to match the appearance. Original gate, original chains and removable floor. This truck is turn key (or push button actually) just as it is. Or makes and excellent candidate to restore to a high dollar rig. I hate to compare auction prices but unfortunately the deluxes are so rare I have limited comps. check out what a restored 37 deluxe went for at Hershey auction. thanks for looking please serious people call with questions 619-24six- four one six4 rmsothebys.com/hf10/vintage-motor-cars-of-hershey/lots/1937-ford-deluxe-pickup/564034

1937 Ford Pickup Nice all original Ford pickup in perfect running and driving condition. The Flathead V8 starts right up and runs strong, the original manual 3speed is smooth, the truck runs and drives great it needs nothing.Very nice black paint, showing its age is some areas as noted in the pics, but overall a very nice shine and looks amazing from 20ft. The interior is like new, very supportive and like new bench seat, the dash is uncut and in great condition with all working gauges. All the lights work as well with no electrical issues. The brakes work as they should and all the tires are in excellent condition. The only thing this truck needs is a new owner! This truck is an older restoration with about 20k miles, the entire drivetrain was rebuilt from top to bottom. It still runs like new. The interior still looks like new. The paint as mentioned is showing its age but still also looks very nice. There are many miles and years of enjoyment left in this truck as is, or if your looking for that all original unmolested truck to take to the next level (Concourse) this would be a perfect candidate. We build, refurbish, and completely restore these old trucks so we can do anything you want just ask! Please call with any questions, thanks!Rob 310.nineninefive.8896 www californiaclassicmotorsports dot com
