selling my '47 ford short door business coupe. this car really is a true barn find, it sat since 1975 in a dry barn up north, as you can see the car is virtually rust free, even under the fenders! it needs a headliner and the door panels should be redone, but the dash and the seat are really in great condition, almost everything works on the car, needs a couple dash lights but a couple work, horn blows loud, lights work but need a couple bulbs. I think the mileage is original on this car . the engine runs like new, 80 lbs of oil pressure and it only goes down to 60 when its hot! and the clutch is good, the brakes don't work but im going to see if they will pump up, the gas tank should be flushed, I have it running with an auxillery electric pump and gallon gas can right now, this car will start right up in sub zero weather. the car was originally black, I have extra fender chrome for it too. all the glass is near perfect. it needs the center divider for the windshield outer. you could drive it as it is and have fun with it, its got newer radial white walls on it. ive yard driven it and it seems pretty good, it does need some tie rod ends but they are cheap and dennis carpenter has those, also spent $350 for an oem exhaust pipe and cross over for it, its nice and quiet now. this car is pretty rare. ford only made 10,872 of these little coupes so after 68 years , I don't think there are too many left. im selling the car locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. the vehical is being sold in as is condition and no warranty is available for the car. if you aren't sure of buying it, come out and see it in person. it is a really clean car and I try to as honest and helpful as I can. it wouldn't take to much to get this on the road as a driver and have fun with it. if you have ANY questions, please call me at 586-944-8615, thanks for looking
