Offered for sale is a 1950 Chevrolet Deluxe tin woody wagon. Has 235 6 Cylinder engine. Original three on tree was replaced with a power glide automatic transmission. Ready for restoration or rat rod project. Needs all glass in rear, back seats, and radiator & 12 volt wiring harness to run. 12 volt conversion started, but not finished. Car does have some rust, floor boards have been replaced, reinforced. Body filler has been used in lower rear areas. Have front and rear bumpers, heater, some interior wood trim, headliner bows, and a few other misc. parts. Dash is complete including original philco radio and clock. Missing ashtray only and lighter. All in all it is what it is. Rare car. Please check out all the photos and judge for yourself. I traded for this truck last weekend. It is a 1950 Chevrolet 5 window half ton short bed. It was brought to me and backed off of a trailer approximately 100 feet. I can tell you that it will crank and move forward and backward. The brakes are pathetic. It was in a gentleman's barn who had deceased and the person who purchased it from his kids intended on restoring it. His wife was not happy about that so he traded it in on a newer truck he could use. It does have some rust but it isn't ate up with it. The bed sides, back of the bed and back of the cab are surprisingly straight for a truck of this age. Please understand and assume that the truck needs everything, but it is a running truck that has honestly been sitting for years. These 5 window half ton trucks are getting harder to find and are not getting any cheaper. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions you might have. The "Black Pearl" was my daily driver from 2006 to 2008 and has been garage kept ever sense. It's all original OEM solid car that runs and drives. I put new brake pads, rebuild carburetor, replaced lights, ignition coil, sparks plugs and wires. It started up every hot and cold morning and ran great in snow and summer. In 2013 I down sized vehicles was going to make this my 4 door grocery and kid getter, but ran across a 1963 Chevy C-10 instead. My wife and I are very close to this car but, I just inherited a 1950 International Farm All Cub from her dad that has more sentimental value. I love this car but need to let it go to someone who can put the time and attention it needs. It begs to be driven!! I have a full shop manual with data and specs for every component. The transmission shifting issue is most likely electrical solenoid but this manual gives you specs for rebuilding every peace of this car.
