Pickup trucks are just a popular segment in the classic car hobby as muscle cars are, and the early 50\'s Chevy 3100 is certainly one of the higher demand pickups to have. This 1952 Chevrolet 3100 brings traditional style and major custom touches to a package that is appealing enough to show or cruise around town in. It\'s probably not hard to realize that the burgundy paint on this 3100 wasn\'t a factory option in 1952, but it\'s definitely hard to argue that the smooth hue doesn\'t look great on the body of this pickup. The handsome color lays flat on the truck\'s body panels and it\'s hard to find any flaws. That paint is highlighted by a great looking chrome grill up front with a \'Chevrolet\' badge that appears to have seen very little wear or fading. There is a chrome bumper under that grill, and out back is another chrome bumper is topped by chrome tail lights. Take a peek inside that pickup bed and you\'ll fall in love with the stained oak panels that line the bed and look absolutely great. With that body sitting on 16\'\' 5-spoke Torque Thrust wheels it\'s an exterior package that looks very cool, but subdued at the same time. Inside is a custom interior that is a welcoming environment for Sunday drives and Saturday cruise-ins. It features cloth bucket seats that have been sourced from a late model car. Between those buckets is a custom console that serves as an arm rest with a convenient storage compartment inside. The dash is painted silver and remains in its traditional configuration with the addition of four auxiliary gauges from Classic Industries to measure volts, fuel level, oil pressure, and water temperature. Controls for the air conditioning are mounted underneath, while a long gear selector for the transmission is within easy reach of the driver. Connecting the driver is a modern steering wheel that sits on a tilting column. Lift the hood to a very attractive engine bay that features silver paint lining the fenders and firewall. Nestled inside is 350 cubic inch V8 that has been dressed up with a chrome air cleaner, chrome valve covers, and a polished alternator. That small block has been beefed up with a Holley carburetor, a Weiand intake manifold, Delco electronic ignition, and after market headers. Dual electric fans keep things cool, and it exhales spent gasses through a stainless steel dual exhaust system with glasspack mufflers for an aggressive sound. A 3-speed automatic transmission handles shifting duties, while an independent rear end from a Chevy Corvette takes care of the traction. A rack and pinion front end has been installed and supplemented with power steering and power four-wheel disc brakes. This \'52 Chevy 3100 is a great truck to take out and enjoy. You may be a little hesitant to take it to the hardware store for a sheetrock run, but you certainly won\'t think twice about showing it off at the local cruise-in and shows. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom. For more information, please call (704) 598-2130 or toll free (866) 542-8392. Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>

This 1952 Chevrolet 3100 five window puckup is looking for a job. Willing to put in long hours and look good doing it, this workhorse can still be used as a truck. Capture the best of both worlds with a hobby vehicle that you can use as Chevrolet intended, and still drive it to the local cruise night where it\'ll draw a crowd. OK, let\'s admit it, nearly anything looks good in burgundy paint, particularly vintage vehicles with lots of curves. The luscious metallic paint lets all those great \'50s shapes stand out without making it look excessively modern. That desirable 5 window cab is topped with a restored spot light. With straight bodywork that\'s uncommon on old trucks, it gets a ton of attention on the street and a lot of folks fall in love at first sight. Today it\'s a great-looking example of a show-and-go pickup that\'s fully sorted and nicely turned out. Gaps are probably better than commercial vehicles of the period, and the blacked out grill adds a custom touch. Inside it\'s still basic and simple, but carries enough details to give it a purposeful and upscale look. The bench seat wears black vinyl upholstery, pleated for a period look and added comfort. The original gauges remain in the dash giving a full view of the engine, while an aftermarket Autometer tachometer is the only obvious addition to this cab. This is also one of the rare vintage pickups that seem to have been equipped with a radio when it was new, and the vintage AM radio still resides in the center of the dash. Overall, everything appears clean and well maintained. With a column mounted shifter behind the 3-spoke steering wheel, you\'ll enjoy your time in this truck whenever you take it out. Power comes from Chevy\'s 216 cubic inch inline six, also known as the Stove Bolt Six. It\'s smooth, reliable, rugged, and is finished with bright blue paint and a 1-barrel carburetor. It ticks over with an industrial grumble from the single exhaust, and moves down the road easily. The undercarriage remains stock and the simple ladder frame shows no signs of twisting or previous accidents. It\'s been professionally maintained and serviced for 16 years, so you can count on dependable hardware and components where it matters. There is even a stock of log books for each year dating back to 1998 documenting the mileage of this truck. There is also a stack of manuals and Chevrolet marketing material included with this sale, as well as a host of replacement parts should you need them anytime soon. But the bottom line is this truck is already a turn-key package that is ready to please. Show it and drive it, this one is ready for duty. Call today! Well, with serious V8 power and a real wood truck bed, this Chevy is the best of both worlds...and trucks of this vintage do not stay in our showroom long! This is the kind of body that draws attention from everyone. The butter-smooth burgundy paint highlights just how amazingly straight the panels are. It's the perfect complement to the custom elements like the air spoiler ribbed tailgate, streamlined rear end with integrated taillights, and shaved door handles. But those are the obvious pieces. Take a closer look, and you'll notice great little touches like how the headlights have had their chrome surround removed, and the units have been frenched. Despite all these custom touches, there still are plenty of great vintage elements. The truck bed is still made of real wood, and the iconic chrome grille is pristinely stock. In total, this is obviously one pickup that has had a lot of time and money invested in making it the right balance of the new and old worlds. Inside there is even more great custom work. There are tall bucket seats that are vastly more comfortable than the bouncy bench that came from the factory over half a century ago. Covered in a soft gray cloth with burgundy inserts, it complements the metal on this truck very nicely. The driver gets a Lecarra sports steering wheel with a bow tie Chevy emblem etched in the center. Beyond that are a set of SW gauges that offer a similar pattern to the originals, but are much clearer and cleaner. In fact, the whole dashboard has been customized to be tastefully uncluttered. But, simplified does not mean this pickup lacks great features. The matching upholstered door panels have switches to operate the power windows. A custom center console holds the air conditioning controls, and there's even an AM/FM/CD stereo located in a cool overhead console. Pop the hood for the coolest custom piece on this pickup. The 350 cubic-inch Chevy V8 includes a host of upgrades from the Edelbrock catalog, including valve covers, performance air cleaner, and intake. The whole engine bay shines in burgundy and is exceptionally tidy (when was the last time someone complemented you on the on the little things like the steel braided air conditioning tubing that plugs neatly into the firewall?). The small block is mated to a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission that connects to a stout 10-bolt rear end. This is the perfect car show companion, and evening cruise in king, especially with the lowered stance and 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels. In fact those features, plus the power steering and front disc brakes also make this truck a great all-day cruiser or daily driver. This is the kind of classic pickup that sacrifices nothing. You can be a big hit at your next event without having to leave the air-conditioned comfort of your bucket seat. It wont last so call today!! 1952 Chevrolet 3100 for Sale 1952 Chevrolet 3100 for Sale Stock # 3125-CHA Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE 1. [email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1952 Chevrolet 3100 Frame Off Restored 3100 Pickup 216 Inline Six 3 Speed Manual Year: 1952 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: Blue Mileage: 32778 Transmission type: 3 Speed Manual Engine: 216 I6 Interior color: Burgundy Vehicle Info SUMMARYFresh frame-off restorationCorrect 216 cubic inch Thriftmaster 6-cylinderCorrect Saginaw 3-speed manual transmissionEquipped with an era-correct heaterEra-correct Horizon Blue paint / Yellow pinstripesPainted wood bed16-inch steel wheels6-volt electrical system The vast majority of classic trucks that attend magazine shoots and national shows sport lists of modifications that are longer than the third volume of War and Peace. But, while those extensively customized rigs are always cool to look at, this 1952 Chevrolet 3100 manages to carry the same level of appeal without any major gimmicks. That's because, as we've stated numerous times, old school pickups are timeless slices of Americana that'll likely never go out of style. The recipient of a professional, frame-off restoration, this Chevy exhibits a level of quality that was simply unobtainable on 1940s assembly lines. Pairing a correct 216 cubic inch 6-cylinder with a correct Saginaw 3-speed and sublime Horizon Blue paint, it's sure to turn heads. And, if you're in the market for some sweet collector metal that can be driven, shown and fully enjoyed, it's exactly the ride you've been looking for! BODYWORK/TRIM Fresh out of the restoration shop, this mint Chevy has been meticulously rebuilt to preserve all the innate appeal of GM's popular Advance Design aesthetic. The truck's expressive body panels have been bathed in a rich coat of Horizon Blue 2-stage and accented with tasteful yellow pin stripes. Under that retro pigment, an incredibly straight fuselage hangs solid panels that, with the exception of a thorough massage during the aforementioned reboot, appear to have led a quiet, drama-free existence. Those massaged panels feature better-than-factory alignment and, when opened and closed, sound solid and function exceptionally well. And that functional body's combination of excellent reflections and Kansas-flat surfaces suggest many labor-intensive hours were spent exacting top-notch finish work. While its basic shape is certainly appealing, first rate detailing is what makes this pickup really pop. At the front of the truck, a Horizon Blue grille centers gray-trimmed bars between clean halogen headlights and a glossy gray bumper. Behind that grille, a Chevrolet-branded hood leads the eye to a spilt windshield, which fronts a 3-window greenhouse. At the sides of that hood, black running boards combine with chrome door handles, black mirrors and a color-keyed fuel filler to create a simple, attractive profile. At the back of those boards, a fully painted bed adds tangible credibility to a classic work truck theme. And at the back of that bed, a stamped tailgate reflects black taillights, sleeved chains and a second gray bumper. ENGINE Hoist the truck's domed hood and you'll find a 216 cubic inch inline 6-cylinder that's branded with a correct "KAA" assembly stamp. Introduced for use in large platforms, and regarded as one of the all-time great Chevrolet powerplants, the Thriftmaster is a favorite among vintage GM truck buyers because of its simple design, adequate power and excellent durability. A petite Rochester carburetor and old school air cleaner combine with a tagged Delco-Remy starter, a tagged Delco-Remy generator, a beefy radiator and 6-volt Delco-Remy electricals to keep the engine clean and functional. And items like satin fenders, a glossy horn, bold "Thriftmaster" lettering, a bright oil canister and traditional gray skin ensure the mill is very impressive to look at. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Crawling under this classy bowtie reveals a clean frame and straight floorpans that have been coated in a nice layer of Satin Black paint. Power is put to the ground through a traditional Saginaw 3-speed, which hangs a correct 591907 casting number in front of a driver-friendly rear end. Correct leaf springs and drum brakes occupy all four corners of this chassis, mixing rugged road prowess with firm and solid stops. A single-pipe exhaust system, which is wired to a large muffler, runs the whole length of the truck. And everything rolls on familiar steel wheels, which turn 6.50-16 BF Goodrich Silvertown 4-plys around blue paint, yellow pinstripes and hand- lettered Chevrolet hubcaps. INTERIOR When you pop this pickup's doors, you'll find a crisp Burgundy cockpit that's full of utilitarian charm. A vinyl bench seat complements small door panels, a tight headliner and a black floor mat. A "CHEVROLET" branded steering wheel spins around fully restored gauges. And warm heat and a retro AM radio make country drives a little more civilized. OUR SALE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTATIONA vintage marketing brochureA vintage Operator's Manual If you're looking for a unique classic that mixes a professional restoration with unmatched style and unparalleled fun, this truck deserves your full attention. A truck like this 1952 Chevrolet 3100 even looks like it's grinning, but beneath its vintage appeal still beats the heart of a workhorse. It will be hard to find a pickup that looks this nice and so authentically vintage. The cream and red color might not have been the original combination when this truck first showed up for farm duty, but today it seems like the perfect way to instantly connect with 1950s nostalgia. This is the kind of truck that will become the new family heirloom, so we won't even bat an eye when you stencil the name on the side of your fictitious father and son feed-n-seed company, or your current business for promotion. Then again, you might want to think about going into the oil business with the Mobil Pegasus already attached to the wooden bed-rails. The side lumber matches the real wood in the truck bed. In fact, all of this material is another sign of a careful restoration, because wood can't go untouched 63 years on this earth and continue to look this good. This one even has desirable upgrades that range from the functional fog lights, to the great-looking chrome grille, and whitewall tires. Part of the appeal of a pickup like this is its no-nonsense, working-class interior. The original bench seat was upholstered in brown vinyl atop the original tubular frame, which was painted cream to match the rest of the interior. A rubber mat was standard equipment too, with simple door panels that are cardboard inserts with lightly padded armrests, all framed by the steel of the door. The feeling of this interior creates an atmosphere that instantly reminds you of the pride in an honest day's work. But even when you do come in from the fields, this truck can be nice and warm, thanks to its original heater. The driver gets the kind of three-spoke embossed steering wheel that was purely functional decades ago, but today it is beautifully artistic. Behind that is an original gauge cluster with readouts for the fuel, water temperature, oil pressure, and battery, because this pickup is from a time when people wanted to know just that vital info. Lift the hood, and the 216 cubic-inch straight-six motor was restored to be impressive in a very unique way. A truck this honest on the outside could never have a chrome-filled engine bay. Instead, the bright blue Chevy block draws all the attention to the Thriftmaster, perfectly stenciled in yellow. The whole motor screams originality, but you can tell everything from the distributor to the oil bath air cleaner are much more "spick-n-span" then the days when this pickup was a daily workhorse. But just because this is now a valued classic, does not mean it can't get the job done. The engine still produces the kind of torque that made these an industrial legend, and the nicely upgraded four-speed manual transmission further enhances its usability. Overall, going for a drive in this pickup is a fun experience thanks the great rumble from a rhythmic motor that doesn't now how to quit. An authentic vintage truck is not for everyone. There will be no speed records in this pickup, but this will cruise nicely. And for the right person, every day can feel like a Sunday drive. As mentioned before, we cant keep these 3100's in our showroom, especially as nice as this one is. Willing to put in long hours and look good doing it, this workhorse can still be used as a truck. Capture the best of both worlds with a hobby vehicle that you can use as Chevrolet intended, and still drive it to the local cruise night where it'll draw a crowd. OK, let's admit it, nearly anything looks good in burgundy paint, particularly vintage vehicles with lots of curves. The luscious metallic paint lets all those great '50s shapes stand out without making it look excessively modern. That desirable 5 window cab is topped with a restored spot light. With straight bodywork that's uncommon on old trucks, it gets a ton of attention on the street and a lot of folks fall in love at first sight. Today it's a great-looking example of a show-and-go pickup that's fully sorted and nicely turned out. Gaps are probably better than commercial vehicles of the period, and the blacked out grill adds a custom touch. Inside it's still basic and simple, but carries enough details to give it a purposeful and upscale look. With a column mounted shifter behind the 3-spoke steering wheel, you'll enjoy your time in this truck whenever you take it out. Power comes from Chevy's 216 cubic inch inline six, also known as the Stove Bolt Six. It's smooth, reliable, rugged, and is finished with bright blue paint and a 1-barrel carburetor. It ticks over with an industrial grumble from the single exhaust, and moves down the road easily. The undercarriage remains stock and the simple ladder frame shows no signs of twisting or previous accidents. It's been professionally maintained and serviced for 16 years, so you can count on dependable hardware and components where it matters. This 1952 Chevrolet Bel Air is a fantastic example of getting it right. From the ultra-clean bodywork to the luxurious interior filled with modern conveniences to the 383 cubic inch stroker motor, it masters the art of looking cool without trying too hard. Hardtops were all the rage in 1952 and the sleek pillarless look makes this Chevy look truly spectacular. Of course, a lot of that comes from the tasteful modifications to the bodywork that looks smooth without distracting you from the awesome shape. Shaved door handles and side trim, a nosed and decked hood, and the removal of the emblems from the trunk result in a car that has a definite Chevy look without all the needless ornamentation. The gorgeous burgundy paint suits the sleek coupe just fine, a nice blend of a classic color and a modern look, and the workmanship is quite good overall. The doors fit well, the bulging rear fenders give it a performance look, and custom pinstripes on the hood and along the length of the body are the only extra ornamentation that this car needs. They kept the two-piece windshield, which is a popular old-school look, but the glass is expertly tinted to help with the updated look. And there\'s plenty of chrome that looks great against the dark red finish, again super smooth to make the car look clean. The luxurious gray leather interior uses buckets from a late-model car, custom door panels, and a fabricated center console to really bring things up to date. Those buckets were recontoured and reshaped to fit in the \'52, and the shortened seat backs look right by staying below the beltline. Burgundy carpets match the painted dashboard to give it a bit of contrast, and all the modern conveniences are here: A/C, a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo system, power windows, and a tilt steering column. Auto Meter gauges were neatly installed in the original instrument panel, with auxiliary gauges in the custom center console, which also houses the stereo system and late-model shifter for the automatic transmission. The rest of the dash looks fairly stock, save for a smooth fairing underneath for the A/C ducts, offering a highly finished look. There\'s a full back seat for taking some friends with you, as well as a nicely appointed trunk that\'s upholstered to match the interior. Originally a bit tame, this Chevy now moves with the assistance of a built 383 cubic inch stroker motor that\'s been detailed for show. Reflected in a polished stainless firewall, the burly small block is covered in chrome and features dual Holley 4-barrels up top for instantaneous throttle response at any speed. There\'s a big aluminum radiator, a serpentine belt drive system, and power steering to make it reliable and easy to drive every day and you can see that they took great pains to conceal the wiring and plumbing in the engine bay. The stout small block is backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and a color-matched rear end, and the soundtrack is by Flowmaster. It\'s not quite as detailed underneath, but it was definitely built to drive so undercoating keeps it protected and modern shocks and front disc brakes give it a modern feel. Vintage-looking Cragar mags are fitted and carry staggered 215/65/15 front and 235/70/15 rear BFG radials. Nicely built and a pleasure to drive, this neat little Chevy is built just the way you\'d do it for yourself. So why not save yourself the time and effort and just come get this one today? Call now! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom. For more information, please call (678) 279-1609 or toll free (877) 367-1835. Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>

This 1952 Chevy panel delivery is one of the slickest street rods we\'ve ever featured. Dramatic and expertly built, it is the kind of machine that attracts crowds everywhere it goes, and you can tell that no detail was overlooked during its construction. It\'s really impressive. Every square inch of the exterior of this truck was painted high-gloss black, which gives it a definite hot rod look. The finish quality suggests that the blackout paint job wasn\'t done just to save money on chrome, but rather to make a unique statement that really works. All the exterior surfaces were sanded, smoothed, painted, and buffed to get that amazing shine that only black cars seem to exhibit. It was carefully assembled and aside from some shaved trim and emblems, uses all the factory components and sheetmetal without major mods. The fact that something from 1952 could look this sleek and sinister is a tribute to both the original design and the talent of the guys who created it as it sits today. The bulging rear fenders give it a very muscular look, and the entire body has a seamless look that looks so right you\'d need a stock one for comparison to see all the tricks. LED taillights, a few well-placed Chevrolet script emblems, and just enough bright trim to add contrast make this a truck that\'s a shoo-in for the big trophy at the next show. If you expected a plain-Jane working class interior, you\'re going to be very pleasantly surprised by the beautifully finished tan upholstery and cargo area. Leather front buckets (the driver\'s side is power-actuated) from a late-model were used as the starting point and everything else was hand-crafted to match. There\'s a custom center console with an AM/FM/CD stereo head unit, beautifully sculpted door panels that are as interesting as the rest of the truck, and expertly fitted carpets that wouldn\'t look out of place in a high-end German sedan. The dash was stripped and painted just like the body, with custom Dolphin gauges stuffed into the original instrument panel and A/C vents artfully integrated into the design. A tilt steering column with a billet wheel makes it easy to get comfortable, and that odd device stuck to the windshield ahead of the driver is called a \"Trafficator,\" which allows you to view overhead stop lights even with the visor in place. In back, the cargo bay is fully upholstered, a job that must have taken serious amounts of both time and money, but as you can see, the results were worth it. Power comes from a 350 cubic inch crate engine topped by a Holley double-pumper and an HEI ignition system. It doesn\'t break any new ground, but the hardware is high-quality, including the serpentine belt setup and aluminum radiator, and you know it\'s reliable. With a TH350 3-speed automatic and 3.08 gears in the 10-bolt rear, it\'s a superlative cruiser and popping the hood will generate appropriate levels of appreciation from anyone who sees it. The front suspension uses Fat Man Fabrication A-arms and coil-overs and a rack-and-pinion power steering setup, while leaf springs hold up the rear. A custom-fabricated dual exhaust system has just the right sound with trick center-mounted outlets under the rear bumpers, and there are power front disc brakes for safety. Adding just the right amount of contrast, Eagle Alloy wheels carry 245/45/17 performance radials. BODY STYLE : Pickup Truck TRANSMISSION: 3 Speed Automatic EXTERIOR COLOR: ODOMETER READING: 133 INTERIOR COLOR : VEHICLE FEATURES & OPTIONS Air Conditioning, Cloth Interior, Defrost, Four Wheel Disc Brakes, Heat, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seatbelts, Tilt Wheel SELLER REMARKS Pickup trucks are just a popular segment in the classic car hobby as muscle cars are, and the early 50's Chevy 3100 is certainly one of the higher demand pickups to have. This 1952 Chevrolet 3100 brings traditional style and major custom touches to a package that is appealing enough to show or cruise around town in. It's probably not hard to realize that the burgundy paint on this 3100 wasn't a factory option in 1952, but it's definitely hard to argue that the smooth hue doesn't look great on the body of this pickup. The handsome color lays flat on the truck's body panels and it's hard to find any flaws. That paint is highlighted by a great looking chrome grill up front with a 'Chevrolet' badge that appears to have seen very little wear or fading. There is a chrome bumper under that grill, and out back is another chrome bumper is topped by chrome tail lights. Take a peek inside that pickup bed and you'll fall in love with the stained oak panels that line the bed and look absolutely great. With that body sitting on 16'' 5-spoke Torque Thrust wheels it's an exterior package that looks very cool, but subdued at the same time. This '52 Chevy 3100 is a great truck to take out and enjoy. You may be a little hesitant to take it to the hardware store for a sheetrock run, but you certainly won't think twice about showing it off at the local cruise-in and shows.
