I sold a red one just like this for 13500 two years ago. If you are holding out....sell it or hold on! If you are trying to make sound investments, then this has to be a great time while the market settles into its "life without the Euro" for awhile. Ebb and flow....This is a daily driver right here. ....Winter is coming... This is a real clean and low original mile 1956 Pontiac Chieftain that has been in the Northwest and she is solid. The gentleman I bought her from went through her in the last year and rebuilt the carb, added new exhaust, some brake work along with a good tune up and tires. She runs and drives really nice with real nice power from the original 316.6 motor. She is a daily driver type of car with a real clean appearance. The interior has its original seats with old school seat covers that have been there since the car was almost new. The dash has been painted and a new headliner and carpet added. The interior is clean! The gauges are working as are the wipers, headlights, brake lights and blinkers. GLASS IS ALL GOOD! 87k Original miles Always a North West car 5 Year old paint with nice shine Real Nice Chrome Original 316.6/ 205 HP Good Glass DAILY DRIVER! The paint is around 5 years old with no rust issues apparent. The paint as you can see in the video has a deep shine and looks good from 5 feet. The under carriage is really solid and it is obvious she has never seen the dreaded salt routine. The trunk pan is like new but original. The chrome still has a real nice shine. A real solid car from front to back. Hello to all Ebayers! I have been with EBay for several years and I want to keep my reputation with EBay at 100%. I bought this vehicle with the intention of bringing it to California to add to my collection because I'm into classic cars, I'm trying to sell a few of my cars because I sold my building and don’t want to leave them outside. This Pontiac Chieftain is located in a Copart facility in Candia, NH. I tried to sell it on Copart but this vehicle is a classic clean vehicle and they have a salvage yard so it's not the best place to sell this vehicle there. You can purchase the vehicle through Ebay or you can purchase it through Copart by becoming a member. This car has a New Hampshire Title. If you need me to get a CA title for this car there is a small fee included in the process. PRICED TO SELL !!!Here is the description I have from the previous owner: 1956 PONTIAC CHIEFTAIN ? Mechanicals Just over 92k miles on original 316ci 5.2L V8 motor with Hydra-matic trans.Car runs and drives very well and handles well on the highwayGas tank was removed and replaced with a 15gal fuel cell in the trunk Recent exhaust with Flowmaster muffler and dual chrome 3” rolled tips. Flange gaskets were replacedNew master cylinder, brakes are great. Front end was rebuilt (tie rod ends, upper and lower bushings, stabilizer links etc). New rear wheel seals done last year. New American Racing Torque Thrust 17” wheels w/Falcon tires. ? Exterior Very solid body and the paint shows well (Hot Rod Flatz Copper Pearl Metallic)All doors, hood and trunk open and close as they should, all glass is greatReplaced a lot of the chrome/stainless including NOS front grille, and re-chromed lower front bumper valance. Front elbow bumper covers and bullets were taken off another vehicle and are in very nice shape. Brand new door handles and drivers side mirror. Stainless trim is in nice shape.Well maintained and garage kept ? Interior Interior is very nice. Seats, carpet, and headliner are not ripped and are in nice shape. Door panels are aged but still look nice. Pioneer Stereo/CD in the glove box, Kicker 6x9’s in the rear deck, and kick panel speakers. Original radio works, just disconnected from antenna. Speedometer and odometer are in working order. Heater works fine This is a great classic to drive and enjoy? I have been with eBay for many years and I want to keep my reputation and feedback 100%. I purchased this car with the intent of adding it to my collection but I have sold my building and I'm running out of storage room. Please note, I want to make sure that you are absolutely satisfied with your purchase. Bid with confidence and if you have any questions that I might not have covered in the description, don't hesitate to ask. You can email me or send me your telephone number and I will give you a call. Shipping Buyer is responsible for shipping costs. I can cooperate with your shipper. This vehicle is advertised on other sites so I have the right to end the auction early if it gets sold. I'm not a dealer, just a very passionate collector of classic cars and trucks. Payment Please be ready to buy when you click. A non-refundable $500 deposit is due when the auction ends and final payment within 7 days. Balance is to be paid by bank wire or a certified bank cashier's check. Check will need to clear before the vehicle will be released and title is sent. The winning bidder needs to contact me within 24 hours of auction end to make payment arrangements. Please arrange all financing prior to bidding. If you are not sure about something, please ask. Do not assume anything. I'm very easy going and will help in any way I can, but please be absolutely sure that you are ready to buy when you bid. All non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay. Disclaimer People have different opinions and expectations of older cars. It is your responsibility to inspect the vehicle or send a third party inspector for your satisfaction. Remember, this car is from 1950's and can have some imperfections that are not in the description that I'm not aware of.I had a bad experience with a ruthless dealer that wanted to buy a classic from me and triple the price the next day! If you are buying and paying for this vehicle, please contact your transporter after vehicle is picked up and within the 2 hours please give me a positive feedback! This is your chance to own a great classic at a great price.

1956 Pontiac 2 Door Hardtop I will be listing a few cars here in the next week or two for my family. We are reducing are number of cars, so please see my other listings as well. I am not a dealer.Just a beautiful original Pontiac with great colors. This will be a fun car and a great investment for the next owner :-)The 1955-1956 model Pontiac featured a completely new chassis, body and engine. The engine was the biggest news as this was Pontiac's first V8. The 1956 version was drastically enlarged to 316ci with 192 horsepower. A 6-cylinder engine was no longer offered. The original five chrome strips running the hood and trunk were dropped, with a twin strip design used in its place. Details/Features:"Strato Streak" 316 ci V8 Engine (192 hp)"Strato-Flight" Hydra-Matic Transmission (4 Speed Automatic)Standard Steering and BrakesDeluxe RadioClock DeleteWide White Wall TiresRare model and colorsRecent check up, tune-up, etc. The engine idles very well, makes good power, and starts well every time. The transmission shifts smoothly. The car will get down the road and flow with modern traffic effortlessly. Steers and stops very well. Drives very straight down the road with no unusual vibrations, pulling, noises, etc. A pleasure to drive! It is ready to drive and enjoy right away. The car is very reliable for long trips ... We had also planned to add A/C for my father. If you would like **AIR CONDITIONING** added, please feel free to message me. Our family friend owns a shop that can do this for a very fair price. This Pontiac is a beautiful car and a true automotive work of art. It is a good original car that has been painted and restored only as needed for casual car shows and weekend driving. Some of the unrestored features may show some evidence of age/wear and tear, but the car looks great at every angle! The engine compartment and trunk compartments are very clean. Overall, it's a sharp looking and good driving Pontiac! Please see the photos and ask what questions you have. I welcome inspections and appraisers. Shown by appointment. Drive home or I can help ship this car to your door at a reduced rate via enclosed transport. If you are a long distance or overseas, I will try to work with you on the shipping. Please contact me for details. I reserve the right to end the listing early at any time for the right offer. The car could be for sale locally as well. **All offers considered** If you need help financing, I would suggest contacting a great company such as JJBest. They are easy to work with. But not many of those vintage machines can claim both exclusivity and star status. Sold by a north Hollywood Pontiac dealer, and used both on and off the set of The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, this 52,280 actual mile Chieftain is a national award winner that's split most of its time between the screen, the radio and the museum floor. Benefiting from new paint, a reupholstered seat and freshened chrome, it's a mostly-original survivor that's still humbled by vintage camera mounts installed during its sitcom debut. And, accompanied by a roster of old school literature, the car's history is delightful and well documented. If you like cool classics that tell a good story, this incredible Poncho is your next cruiser! HISTORY/CONDITION Serving double duty as Ozzie and Harriet Nelson's on and off screen transportation, this Pontiac tells a storied history of low mileage, TV appearances, museum appearances and, eventually, a Cincinnati radio appearance. It's 50K mile journey started around the set of "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" where the car, in addition to being rigged for camera work, often served as a prop that began Ozzie's scenes. When the Nelsons moved on to newer metal, the wagon sold to Don Bruker's Cars of the Stars museum. And, when the Car's to the Stars museum went out of business, it found residence with California collector Ray Ostrander. Since the Chieftain had been in museum mode for quite some time, Ostrander decided to conduct a minor restoration that included freshened chrome, some new upholstery and a wholesale swap of original Glendale Green and Nimbus Gray pigment for a pleasing combination of pearlescent Glendale and bright white. With that work complete, the Pontiac landed two more TV roles, appearing in HBO's "A Private Matter" and MTV's interview with actor Aidan Quinn. And, in 1993, its short and sweet radio career began when Cincinnati's 103.5 WGBH bought it as a giveaway prize. As part of WGBH's promotion, the car was towed all over Cincinnati to glean listeners' personal information. One of those listeners, Don Furnish, was a bonafide Pontiac enthusiast who was planning to offer the car's winner substantial money to pass him the privilege of ownership. When the time came to draw names, that winner was given 10 minutes and 35 seconds to call and claim their new wheels. And, after that winner's time ran out, Don's dreams turned to good fortune, as WGBH DJ Chris O'Brien announced his name as the second winner. After a prompt call to the radio station, Don spent the next several years enjoying his unrestored, mostly original classic at summer cruise-ins and weekend car shows. And, in 2014, the car claimed First Place in the '49-'57 Restored Cars class and the Dallas Autorama in Dallas, Texas. ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN Raise this Chieftain's domed hood and the first thing you'll notice is an original Strato Streak 316 that, according to the car's previous owners, has never been removed or rebuilt. Less obvious, of course, is that stalwart engine's correct 521560 casting number. Tested for over 1 million miles, and found throughout the 1956 Pontiac line-up, this mean, green mill was Pontiac Motor Division's creative answer to Chevrolet's red-hot 265. Behind that block, an original 4-speed Hydramatic transmission, which wears a correct "D56" prefix stamp, transfers power to a factory-spec rear end. In front of that drivetrain, correct control arms employ optional power steering and fresh shocks. Optional power drum brakes are a welcome addition and big performance upgrade. There's a traditional, true-dual exhaust system that appears to have been patched with new turbo mufflers. And everything rides on painted steel wheels, which spin fresh 225/75R15 Coker Classic whitewalls around full stainless hubcaps. INTERIOR Climb inside this awesome Poncho and you'll find a mostly original interior that features dramatic style and enough great looking trim to payroll a small upholstery shop. Covered in vivid hides, the car's big bench seats, equipped with optional power adjustment up front, feature a nice combination of fresh front and original rear vinyl. At the sides of those seats, original door panels look great hovering behind small armrests and correct chrome handles. At the front of those panels, an original dash hangs original telemetry above optional air conditioning. In front of the driver, an original, ornate steering wheel spins around an optional, foot-operated windshield washing system. And behind the passengers, a matted cargo area frames ample storage space in original stainless skid strips. There are many independent mechanics and shops that may be able to help, but putting your prized classic in the hands of a stranger is a leap of faith at best. This is exactly why we created the RKM Performance Center. Being proud members of SEMA, ARMO, HRIA and the North Carolina Motorsports Association, the RKM Performance Center is a nationally recognized shop; best known for high level OEM restorations and custom builds. Comprised of ASE certified mechanics, including several Master Technicians, you can feel confident that your car is in capable hands. As fellow enthusiasts, they are passionate about cars and will treat yours with the respect it deserves. Wow check out this very clean and well preserved original 1956 Pontiac Chieftain 4 door wagon. It is still supporting its JJ code light blue paint, and all of its original red/white original 281 code interior. Its original red/white interior is in very nice condition from front to back with all of its rear seats folding down flat to carry long items. This wagon is ready to jump in and drive to your next classic car show. The light blue paint is laid out very nicely over a very straight and solid original body. The floors, frame, and rest of undercarriage is also nice and solid. It is powered by a great running and assumed to be original 316 V8 engine, a automatic transmission, and dual exhaust. It is also riding on a brand new set of radial wide white wall tires, and comes with its original hubcaps. This is a very nice wagon inside and out and turns heads were ever you go!
