Most likely an old school race car from back in the day. It still has the clutch pedals and big block motor mounts in it yet. The original two tone colors were: Dark Green (Highland Green seen on the car in front of the door pillars) and Surf Green was on the top. First off the Car was purchased in 2000 it does not have an original VIN tag but one that was assigned to it from the California DMV, when I inquired about the new VIN tag I received several explanations ranging from theft recovery to family court dispute. So I don’t know the reason I just know I have the valid Pink Slip. I wasn’t looking to restore it to its original glory I wanted a Hot Rod. It has custom exhaust with one off Spin Tech mufflers and tailpipes that exit thru the rear bumper, and tubbed rear wheel wells. It also features a custom one off carbon fiber grill with billet grill bar and running lights. The hood is a fiberglass cowl hood with aluminum hood hinges. It has one off fiberglass inner fender panels. The paint is PPG pewter with custom red stripes. The strips run over the car, underside, headliner, trunk and glove box. Carter 4 brl carb, HEI ignition with stock distributor, power assist brakes, power steering, alternator, fender skirts, orig. spinner hub caps, seat belts, fan shroud. Garage kept, rebuilt engine/heads with all new parts only 2,800 miles, heads from 1962, almost new tires wide whites radials Goodyear, great brakes, front sway bar, rear shock absorber brace (better ride), am/fm cassette – looks original. Searched far and wide for best original or repro parts. For example, Goodyear tires on car are limited production from factory, made-in-USA and $200 each. Hood springs, shocks, springs, hoses, brake, fuel lines, electrical, wiring, water pump, gas tank, wheel bearings (roller style) all heavy duty. Rust-proofing under carpet and extra padding to prevent noise/heat, engine area exhaust pipes wrapped. Front bumper chromed using copper in Canada with top craftsmanship. Most places don't use copper.Note - car has alternator, not generator. You will most likely never have to do anything except general maintenance. The transmission oil is the actual oil made for the car in 1957 and fits the tranny the best. Paint is not original color from factory. Engine is 1957 but not the same one installed at factory. Hi I am selling a 1957 Belair original CA car super solid with over $60k invested in custom frame, sheet metal and suspension parts. This is one off chevy I don't think you will find a match at any car show. Main purpose behind this built was to go to SEMA. I have a clean CA title, original vin and cowl tag.. Originally started as a 2nd owner no post car, it was completely taken apart dipped and sealed. The custom frame was built by Richard Rydell certified NHRA chassis builder. The front clip is Kugel SS independent front suspension with polished calipers and tubular a-arms. The rear end was custom built by Currie 9" Ford with disk brakes and coil over shocks, Rear end has posi, over sized bearing and lager axles. This is a full roller with disk brakes and rotors.This car has a custom built roll bar it was tucked up into the roof so headliner can be installed over it and it utilizes A pillars and C pillars to save room inside the car. Once interior is installed most of it will be hidden. The frame is fully channeled into the body will all new interior floors and transmission tunnel. The front A pillars where moved down 2", the front windshield frame and channel was recessed into the cowl and all the sheet metal was reworked to achieve the perfect look. The original glass will be used the size or shape was not changed. The brake booster is already installed under the dash just needs plumbing. I do have another complete bare dash that i was planning to use I will include it with the car. The front windshield wipers assembly is already installed. The rear trim, front and rear bumpers where professionally lead into the body with some hand made sections from sheet metal to save on weight. The rear rims in the pictures are not included with the car if you want them contact me. I have another set that will be included and installed for the new owner they are Budnik with 29x18.50-15LT tires. I have uploaded couple pictures of all the parts that will come with the car. Exhaust was already built from headers back with 2 flowmaster mufflers.
