This Falcon is one of the most stunning and rarest 1963 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible. This is really where the pony car era started, falcons are the same chassis and engine as the first Ford Mustangs. This falcon is not to be compared with 6 cylinder Falcons, this one is a muscle car loaded with a solid V8, headers, dual exhaust and 3 speed automatic transmission and a stock 1963 Sprint rear-end (56.5”) giving you more clearance for wider tires. This Falcon it's nearly identical to a Sprint version. Includes front disk brakes. The color is an original burgundy with a white automatic power top. The paint job isn't perfect but from a few feet away looks great. This falcon has ton of character, I get tons of compliments every single time I drive it. - Runs excellent. the sound is totally off the charts.- The 3 Speed Automatic transmission is rock solid.- The car is ready to go! Starts right up ready to drive and drives like a dream car. - Spent over $2,500 on the brand new interior, the interior is excellent upholstery, carpets, dash and new door panels.- The white wall tires have about 300 miles- Headers and Dual Exhaust are about 8 months old- New aluminum radiator- The power convertible top works excellent. The hydraulics operate as they should.- Front wheel alignment was done 2 months ago, Coolant, oil, filters, hoses and belts, plus plugs, points and condensor are all new.- The glass is in good condition. Windows operate properly.- Weatherstrips and window wipes haven’t been installed, they been sitting in my garage over a year- All chrome is in great conditions- The radio is a stock Radio, not connected to speakers but works when you turn the headlights on. - Have tons of receives and documentation- The California title is clear and all documentation is included. No back fees are due.- Wheels are 14” vintage ford steelies- Have an extra set of Cragars wheels in case you don’t like the stock steelies - The car was professionally lowered, it can be put to its original condition by replacing the drop spindles- New coil springs, new front and rear shocks, includes rear air shocks.

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at our very cool and absurdly rare 1963.5 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible. Ford’s Flagship sport car just before the advent of the Mustang, this car is an excellent example of a rare combination of factory equipment, originality and pure California Cool. This Falcon was recovered from an estate sale here in so cal. It was disassembled but mostly complete. The gentleman who had begun the restoration was very meticulous about cataloging parts. We found zero body filler. All of the panels were very clean. Much but not all of the chrome was replated. Everything else was either completely rebuilt or replaced with OEM new. RarityWe used the term absurdly rare for this Falcon. While quite a few Falcons were built in 1963, this one sports a rare combination of being a Futura, Convertible, V8, 4 Speed car from the factory. It’s nearly identical to a Sprint except that is has the factory front bench seat (to keep the girlfriend close) and no tach on the dash. Few Sprints were built and even fewer still configured as a Futura like this one. Matching numbers, refinished to factory spec with a few upgrades, (the mid package; headers, exhaust, radio, wheels and tires). Exterior.Rangoon Red respray in 2016 is correct to the trim tag. Nice and clean original Rangoon Red paint can be found in the trunk and convertible top stowage area. Wheels, Tires15” Custom made Magnum 500 wheels and new Cooper Cobra tires. Original Futura hub caps and wheels are included. Engine260 CID Ford V8, headers and a fresh dual exhaust with chrome concealed tips. Freshly serviced radiator, new water pump, belts and hoses. Hardened valves for unleaded fuel. All fuel delivery, electrical is new. Runs excellent. Transmission4 Speed Manual transmission is rock solid. New Clutch package. Sharp shifter and original 4 Speed White Ball shift knob Braking, SteeringBrakes are excellent and operating properly. All have been rebuilt, lines and hoses are new. Power Steering has been rebuilt. New shocks, bushings, etc. Front suspension rebuilt. Fresh Alignment. Battery New Interstate Battery We are an Interstate battery dealer. Warranty service is available Nationwide through approximately 60,000 Interstate dealers. ServiceFresh service and ready to go! Coolant, oil, filters, hoses and belts, plus plugs, points and condenser are all new. Unless OEM, all parts are NAPA and nationally warranted. TrimThe chrome bumpers are fresh as are many of the stainless trim pieces. Some minor pitting and wear can be seen, see pics. Convertible TopThe power convertible top is new. The hydraulics operate as they should. All new weatherstripping. See the pics. A white tonneau cover for the convertible top is included but not shown. GlassThe glass is in good condition. Windows operate properly. All weatherstrips and window wipes have been replaced with new. InteriorExcellent upholstery, carpets, dash and door panels. Gauges, lights, switches work properly. AudioA custom autosound AM FM unit is installed. A hidden antenna is mounted under dash. Ipod, android connectivity and charger are built in. OdometerThe odometer shows 49000 miles and operates properly. DMVThe California title is clear and all documentation is included. No back fees are due. No smog is required for California residents. Very low cost Antique registration for most US States. DocumentationA thick build book with extensive documentation is included. There is documentation, receipts, photos and historical information. Clear title. Please come inspect this great Falcon Futura V8 before the listing ends. We are happy to meet you and show her off. Please keep in mind that this is a used car. It is not a new car and will not be fresh and perfect like that new soul sucking Camry your Aunt Betty drives. If that’s what you are after, this is not your era, nor your car. Please enjoy this brief video and test drive Please, no after auction games. Please have your permissions and funds in order before bidding. Thank you for supporting Workshops for Warriors. We hope you will join with us in welcoming our soldiers home. Thanks for checking out our listing. We have some other interesting and cool cars as well as extensive pictures of this car at our website www.driven.co. Many of our auctions end early as vehicles are advertised elsewhere or offers are made for cash or trade. This low mileage (36,618) 1963 Ford Falcon combines gorgeous 1960’s styling with power of the nascent muscle car era - This first generation Falcon was produced with the V8 in very limited numbers (only half of 1963) and served as the basis to the 1964 Mustangs. The Ford Falcon has really come into its own in the classic car market. No longer just the car that fathered the Mustang, the sensible style has matured into an instantly recognizable flair. This is especially seen on the top of the line Futura trim. Its premium status means this Falcon is dressed up with plenty of jewelry, ranging from the arrow-shaped side trim to the neat little ''bombsight'' fender ornaments up front. The iconic Cragar wheels, surrounded by Performance GT tires, add an extra pop against the dark, menacing “heritage burgundy” original paint. It has a 9" Ford rear end. The styling and condition continues into the interior. The black leather interior is all original and in phenomenal condition, offset by some chrome accents on the door. The familiar instrument panel is in excellent condition, and the dash has all the original pieces right down to the air controls. The AM/FM tuner is all original, adding to the car’s pizazz. This 260 cubic inch “Challenger” V8 provides plenty of power, smoothly delivered through an automatic transmission. The pictures of the engine bay show just how pristine the bay is, sure to impress all at the weekend car shows. The pictures say it all with this car, but feel free to message for more information or pictures. The only object missing is the antenna, but a replacement part can be purchased for prospective buyers. The paint coat is gorgeous, as is the underbody. Perhaps more importantly, this car is all original and drives like a charm - always sure to turn heads and garner a few “thumbs-up”. It has had only 2 owners throughout its life before being sold to us (we took it on trade). Our mechanics have checked it out and have nothing negative to report. A beautiful car deserving of a worthy home.

Extremely well finished, work like this is common on cars costing tens of thousands of dollars more, but with this car you get all the performance of a Mustang combined with a unique shape that has aged particularly well. Blending economy, performance, and style, the Falcon really was a do-it-all kind of car. You could outfit it to suit your tastes, and apparently someone want this to be a slick little sleeper that was comfortable for cross-country jaunts. You could paint it some flashy color, but the silvery blue finish on it today is far more interesting, don't you think? The tidy hardtop bodywork was treated to a makeover that gives it the look of a -scale Galaxie and the detailing on the fenders and through the quarter panels is quite good. Gaps and panel alignment are decent and the year-old paint shines up beautifully thanks to modern materials. And this was no stripped-down base model, either, and as a result it's dressed up with plenty of jewelry, ranging from the arrow-shaped side trim to the beautifully sculpted bumper that frames the taillights, to the neat little "bombsight" fender ornaments up front. Nothing was modified or deleted, once again suggesting that someone restored this car because they loved it, not because they were trying to make money from it. Light blue bucket seats give the stylish interior a far more upscale look than you'd expect from Ford's economy car. The pleated seat covers look fresh and flank a correct center console with bright lid, so there's a bit of contrast in the otherwise all-blue interior. Simple door panels recall just a touch of the 1950s with their shiny materials and lots of polished trim. The familiar instrument panel is in decent original condition and there's a modern tach down low on the B&M shifter, as well as a set of auxiliary dials under the dash. The factory-issued AM radio is long gone, replaced by a later AM/FM/cassette head unit, but that's OK because this car was built to cruise. The trunk is nicely detailed as well, and includes a reproduction plaid mat, a vintage spare tire, and the remote-mounted battery. Stuffing a 302 cubic inch V8 in a lightweight car works really well; just ask Carroll Shelby. In this Falcon, it makes for entertaining acceleration around town and it's a lot of fun to play with that flexible torque curve on the street. An open-element air cleaner from Edelbrock adds a racy look, with matching finned valve covers that aren't exactly stock but look pretty darned cool. Ford Blue engine enamel pops against the satin black engine bay, and you can see that a lot of the work is quite fresh and the sucker runs great. Long-tube headers with cut-outs sound awesome, but the newer stock exhaust makes for mellow cruising speeds. A quick-shifting automatic transmission and highway-friendly gears make it mild-mannered on the open road and they've thoughtfully added a set of subframe connectors to reinforce the structure. A slightly lowered stance and chrome wheels with baby moon hubcaps give it just a bit of attitude, and it rides on fat BFGoodrich T/A radials all around. This is a neat little car that shows quite well and runs great. Falcons are seeing some new-found appreciation these days, and I wouldn't expect nice ones like this to remain affordable forever. 1963 falcon i beleive its a 289 small cam. headers nice intake and carb sounds strong not to radical motor is very good nice flow master exhaust looks fairly new. Transmission is a fmx recently rebuilt passing gear is not hooked up but it shifts fine, 3 55 rear end . The brakes have had some updating recently 4 wheel manual drums pulls slightly to the right after is sits for several days gets better with daily use. the front suspension is tight dosen't have any play but it dosen't drive good it road walks some steering box has some play I had the front end aligned and the shop said it drives bad because the steering box needs to be replaced but I really am not sure what the problem is. The body is pretty straight there is minor rust bubbles in both quarters on the very bottom lip where it rolls under and a few bubbles in front of the left tire the car does not need quarters! these are very minor bubbles and the car was last painted in 1992 so there are no hidden issues. The paint has a nice shine the worst flaws are a few scratches on the right quarter and a crack in the hood where i has a dent the size of a quarter fixed when the car was painted 20 years ago.Floor pans are great no rust at all the drive shaft tunnel is a little hacked up from the 4 spd but not too bad .The interior is still very nice considering its age there is minor fading which is pretty much just like it was in 1996 no rips or tears .The passenger front window is cracked and will need to be replaced. The car has been sitting for 2 years we got it limbered up but it will need some tinkering to be a daily driver motor trans and brakes are good the fan hits the shroud if you get on it very hard. Now for a little history on the falcon This car was restored by Homer Greenley in the early 80's he was in the upholstery business thus the disco interior. At the time it had a healthy 289 4 spd traction bars and ansen sprint wheels at that time it went a complete restoration fresh black laquer paint this car was probably one of the first cars in the falcon club of america which was founded here in Arkansas in 1979 I have talked to Mr Roy (founder of the club ) and he remembers homer and this falcon very well. I first saw the car when i was 15 and loved it my first car which i had at the time was a 1960 ranchero . On my 21st birthday I had a chance to buy my dream car ,the owner had retired and was no longer driving the=falcon the paint was showing its age but otherwise it was still a nice car. I had it painted in 1992 took it to local car shows and eventually swapped the 4spd for the fmx thats in it now. I sold the car in 1996 and never saw it again until two years ago when it turned up 3 hrs from me on craigslist .Amazingly the car is pretty much just as left it other than a little age and I am pretty sure the engine has been rebuilt or replaced I bought the falcon back and never really did anything with it the trans was weak and it basically set up neglected until a month ago . I bought a fully restored resto mod 63 and althought it hurts i cant keep them both please call me if you have any questions 870-692-0249

The Ford Falcon has really come into its own in the classic car market. No longer just the car that fathered the Mustang, the sensible style has matured into an instantly recognizable flair. This is especially seen on the top of the line Futura trim with Sprint convertible package. Its premium status means this Falcon is dressed up with plenty of jewelry, ranging from the arrow-shaped side trim to the neat little "bombsight" fender ornaments up front. But this one has a bit more flair. You can see it in the added luster of a modern application of dark black paint that gives it the kind of luster that can rival all that chrome trim. Plus there's no denying the aggressive stance this one has while sitting on iconic Cragar wheels. You might have noticed some subtle red trim on the exterior, and you'll understand why this was done the moment you open the door. The full red interior keeps close to factory standards, which is quite nice on the range-topping Futura trim. The ribbed bucket seat covers look fresh and flank a correct center console with bright lid. Gorgeous door panels recall just a touch of the 1950s with their shiny materials and lots of polished trim. The familiar instrument panel is in excellent condition. The dash has all the original pieces right down to the hear/defrost controls. The only deviations are the upgraded AM/FM/cassette stereo that's adaptable to listen to more modern tunes and an auxiliary set of gauges for added info. A cool touch is the floor-mounted gearshift for the three-speed automatic that's a nice preview of the enchantments under the hood. This Falcon came from the factory with a 260 cubic-inch V8, but one look at the engine bay, and you know there's plenty more here than what was installed at the Atlanta facility. It starts with the big Holley dual air grabber that feeds the Holley four-barrel carburetor on its way to the Edelbrock intake. This is backed up by reliable components such as the aluminum radiator, Mallory electronic ignition, steel braided hoses, stabilizer bar, and Edelbrock fined valve covers. The full package makes plenty of power, and everyone knows it thanks to the rumble of the dual exhaust. This is the kind of Falcon that you'll love to park next to Mustangs at car shows. After all, it's cool to present a father that can still out shine his son's performance tricks. This one is thoroughly sorted right down to the original owner's manual, which means you can pick up a very cool classic for well within your budget. This one packs a rumbling 347 cubic inch stroker motor, a 4-speed, and a restoration that you couldn't even get close to duplicating for the asking price. Never mind that it runs like an early Mustang and looks cool, this is a ton of car for the money. This bright red hardtop is one nice little sleeper. The Falcon was conservative, yes, but it was also rugged, reliable, and had great familial DNA that made it look like a scale Fairlane. The Rangoon Red paint makes it a flashy machine that gets a lot of attention out on the road, and the quality of the work belies the price tag because it looks pretty darned good. It's not perfect, of course, but the shine is far better than 1960s paint tech would deliver, and the car was put together the way the factory would have done it, so it feels solid going down the road. Lots of bright trim ties in with the other Ford products of the era, including the sweeping side trim with a contrasting black insert and "Sprint" script on the front fenders. Round taillights continue Ford's fascination with "jet age" styling, and nothing but the relatively fat rear tires give away this little Falcon's secret. From behind the wheel, it's easy to see where the Mustang gets its handsome good looks, as the Falcon includes a handsome and unique gray and red interior. Looking far more upscale than you'd expect, the seats wear fresh covers front and rear and the doors have been upholstered to match, so it all looks very period-correct. The dash should look familiar to anyone who's driven a Ford of this vintage, with a wide speedometer flanked by round pods with auxiliary gauges inside. This one also sports a cool Stewart-Warner tach on the steering column and a set of modern auxiliary gauges underneath the dash, along with a handsome color-matched steering wheel and a Hurst cue ball shifter for the 4-speed gearbox. The factory AM radio remains in the dash, and it's kind of nice to see it there instead of the ubiquitous modern head unit. In back, there's a trunk that's more spacious than you'd expect, and it has been fully carpeted just like the interior. The door tag says this one originally came with an F-code 260, so it's a real V8 car, but this one is packing nearly 100 extra cubes in the form of a stroked 302 punched out to 347 cubic inches. It's a very strong runner thanks to a big Holley 4-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum heads, and an MSD ignition system. Other details include the Falcon-logo finned valve covers with matching air cleaner. Long-tube headers dump into a fresh dual exhaust system that sounds spectacular. The rest of the chassis is in good order with tubular front A-arms and rack-and-pinion steering, subframe connectors to reinforce the tub, and heavy-duty Caltrac traction bars out back. Out back, it carries 3.80 gears with a limited slip inside a 9-inch housing and there's a disc brake at all four corners. Vintage-looking Torque Thrust wheels are exactly the right choice and wear staggered 165/80/15 front and 235/55/16 rear performance radials. A lot of V8 performance in a great-looking package, this Falcon clearly cost more than the asking price to build. A bargain back then and an even bigger one today.
