Fantastic 1966 Mustang freshly rebuilt. Original engine rebuilt and bored out by Steve's Precision Machine Shop (you can look them up by their website stevesprecisionmachine) 4,500 miles on engine. Automatic transmission completely rebuilt by AAMCO, three speed automatic. Fresh paint with true to measurement Rally Stripes. Outside is straight and lines/gaps match up very nice. Very strong running car. Holds the road well. Snap back power as she runs through the gears. Glass is good throughout and all window rollers work. Water tight. No electrical issues: wipers, turn signals, headlamps, rear lights, brake lights, interior lights all functioning. All gauges work as well. Dual exhaust with a nice deep throaty sound to her. 4bbl Edelbrock carb, 500cfm. Original a/c, but taken out, have a/c unit.What the car needs: Has drum brakes, should upgrade to disk. Drivers seat needs repair....have foam, but upholstery on back order. Passenger seat solid, but does have rip, so would replace upholstery on this seat too. back seat is solid...no issues. Headliner should be replaced or repaired...about a six inch tear at seam. Needs new carpet too. Door panels need some TLC...probably best to replace. As with any classic car, there are a few small items to work on the car. Price is fair taking these into consideration. Strong running car. Bought as a father/son project car that really became a father project car.......Millennials huh? Would like to see it go to a home that can appreciate the history of the Mustang and realizes that a car like this always as a daily driver will always have a minor tweak here and there to deal with. 1966 Ford Mustang 289 with C4 Automatic Transmission Originally 6 cylinder that was built and restored to a 289 V8 with around 40k on motor. Almost everything has been gone through in this amazing classic mustang. It's a very fun car to drive and get's a lot of attention. For a full detailed list contact me The thermostat housing needs a new gasket. There is a small slow leak. The carburetor probably needs adjusted and tuned because I rarely drive the car and it drove a little rough last time and was a little smokey. The paint is driver quality. There are some dings and scratches. Some of the more noticeable ones are the front bumper near the plate has rock scratches, the front right passenger fender has a smaller but noticeable dent. On the passenger door there is about a quarter size chip and a dime sized chip on the drivers side top fender. If you need more pictures to show any of the flaws I will send upon request. The K-Code engine is the high performance version of the V8 289 cubic inch engines, which originally came with the GT models. There were approximately 8,000 of these engines produced in 1965 and 1966. The K-Code engine has 271 horsepower. This is a wonderful drivers’ car, not a show vehicle. The car started as a 6 cylinder car. The numbers do not match. Prior to our getting the car, the 2 rear quarter panels and floor boards were replace. The Candy Apple Red paint was added prior to our getting the car. Originally the car was white. This car was restored with GT fog lights with separate control switch. During our ownership the following was done; power brakes were installed. It has a rebuilt front end with new shocks and rocker arm bushings. A manual choke was installed for easier start-ups. Interior was upgraded with new wood steering wheel and new upgraded retro radio with cassette deck. Seats are original and all instruments work. New Kick-panel speakers. The heater was restored with a new heating element. I have had the car since 2004 and it is registered as a second car, not as a classic. This gives added confidence that car must past inspection every year. All inspection and yearly maintenance perform by local garage. Car used as a local driver in the summer. I bought the car towed it home put fresh gas in it and some in the carburator new cap button and all that and the car fired right up and you cant even tell its running cause its super quiet and runs so smooth I really couldnt believe it. the car is not mint as you can see in the pics but its SUPER NICE!!! The car is MATCHING numbers 289 motor and transmission!! Talk about rare! Looks like the car has been redone in its lifetime but i dont know when but I do know they did a great job. The only thing the car needs is carpet cause it's faded in spots but other then that interior is 100% as seen in the pics.Car fires right up with a couple pumps on the gas pedal. This car is very impressive!! I've put about 50 miles on the car with no problems out of it.
