This car has been in the family for years. I really haven't driven it. It's been stored in the garage, only time I took it out was for pictures. The rear passenger tire keeps going flat and needs replaced, and it will need some type of maintenance, mainly from not being started up for two years. It's likely something that someone that knows cars can fix on their own. I had it running fine to reach the gas station a few weeks ago, and then it was giving me issues on the way home. It would start and then stall when the car was at stop. Again, it's most likely something simple. I just don't know exactly what it is. I'll provide more pictures of the inside during the daytime tomorrow. I accept fair offers!

This very rare Buick Riviera has never been modified and overall the condition of the vehicle is in great shape. The body is in fair condition, having minor rust/wear in some areas at the fenders, but basically a great project car with all of the upgrades intact, featured as a white body while covered with the traditional black vinyl top and black interior. The original motor has been removed and the buyer will have the option to install the 1970 Buick 455 engine and 400 transmission included in the deal.

This is a chance to own a real and SUPER RARE 1969 Buick Rivera GS that is in great shape. Car is originally bought in Califorina through Reynolds of West Covina. It is rumored to be one of only a handful of Stage 1 Riveras converted at the dealership. This is a rust free Southern California car. All the panel line up perfectly. Everything shuts and closes like a low mileage car should. It has the GS positraction and suspension bars that all GS came with. The car is completely 100% original , motor, intake, carb, etc. I spent two year collecting all the pieces to put this car back together. Everything you see in the pics that needs replaced I have all the parts seat covers and backs and headrests in black. Carpet, seat belts, etc. Has way too much to list. Please ask if you want to know something about the car or have questions before you bid. I have a lot more pictures, please ask if you want to see them. I have alot more in car than what I am asking. To answer questions The engine does turn over but the transmission linkage is in the middle of a conversion from columun shift and bench to buckets and floor shifter. It's not in park at the moment. This is the final buy it now price please don't ask about discounts. Will need a immediate deposit of $500 non refundable Will give you a week to arrange transportation and to make final payment in full.

Rare 1969 Buick Riviera . Car has just recently arrived here from California . Very straight and solid body . Engine runs very well , and transmission shifts smooth . Car has been in storage most of its' life .It has the 7.0 liter 430 big block . Car starts right up and is very quiet ( of course , if I kept her , that would have to change .) She needs to be heard . Very powerful . Underside is solid . Have the original hubcaps for her , but somebody had changed the rims at some point , and the hubcaps will not fit over the hump around the rims . 69's are very hard to come by . The interior needs to be redone . There is a lot of cracking , which I can only assume is from the California sun . Power windows are not working , but may just be a fuse . They are getting no power . There are a lot of interior trim pieces in the back seat . There is also the sun visors , and the missing vents , clock , glove box , and etc all in the back seat as well to put back into the dash . This is a VERY solid and good running restoration car . It has almost 32,000 original miles on the car .

You are viewing a very rare 1972 Buick Riviera GS with a Stage 1 455 cubic inch V8 (confirmed in person by a National Riviera judge). I will be adding more photographs and information (I have all receipts dating back to March of 1976) in the next few days. I will also tell the full story of how I acquired this beautiful car, simply because it is one of the funniest and at points most unbelievable tales of automotive coincidence and good fortune I've ever heard, let alone been part of. Its a story I will be telling for years to come, and you'll understand why when you've heard it. So please check back in. I decided to post my car in this gradual way because I've had many, many people show interest in the car due to its condition, rarity and documentation, but I haven't had a chance yet to take all the photographs or to properly put down on paper the full story of how she became mine. I have a few other cars for sale at the moment and in each listing I mention that I still have several other cars to sell. A number of members have asked about the cars I haven't yet listed, and of all of them my Riviera is the one they all want to see. So I've decided to list it sooner than expected. Capricious New York weather has not cooperated for getting the car out of the garage, but the next several days look promising enough that I should be able to provide a nice look at the interior, engine and trunk by Friday or Saturday, October 31st/November 1st. So please check back in and throughout the weekend and into next week. And again, my apologies for the inconvenience. I have owned and collected classic cars for the last 26 years, beginning with the 1969 Dodge Charger I bought when I was sixteen, and which I still own today. I still own my 2nd car as well, a 1983 Pontiac Trans Am, which I drove from my senior year in high school through to my second year of graduate school in the department of English at the University of Central Florida in Winter Park, FL. So my passion for classic cars -- and especially Mopars -- has been a lifelong pursuit and is about the most fun I can imagine having. I am an Oxford-educated motorhead that's been car crazy since bell bottoms were in style the first time around. And because I love to find, own, drive and collect all kinds of classic cars, there comes a point when I have to sell a few of them to keep my collection manageable, or else they all don't get exercised like they should. This is one of those times. My collection has expanded to about two dozen cars, when really, if I am totally honest with myself, I should get it down to about twelve so that I have the time to drive and enjoy them all. I am a firm believer that cars should and need to be driven. And when I can't drive them all enough, I go through the painful process of letting a few of them go on to new owners that will hopefully get out there and drive them more than I have time to. This is the reason I am proudly offering my 1972 Buick Riviera GS for sale to its next proud owner. Both the engine and transmission have been rebuilt during its lifetime and both function flawlessly. It is an extremely strong-running and powerful car, with the GS upgrades giving an extra punch to that big 455 V8. This Riviera is an extremely original example of one of the most stunning designs in automotive history. I've included a link to about 200 additional photos and, as I said earlier, I will be adding more when the opportunity arises, so please stay tuned. https://www.flickr.com/photos/97286492@N06/sets/72157648937416985/

This numbers matching '69 Riviera is a dream for Buick lovers, drives amazing, garage kept. 74k Original miles. The only reason its not listed as mint, is because the trunk was re-apolstered grey, rather than black like the rest of the interior. Also, need rear shock absorbers soon, but not terrible, just don't seat 5 people in the car. Definitely a head turner. This beast is currently inspected, registered and insured. Has new alternator, starter, horn, plugs/wires/dis.cap, re-built the carb, fuel pump, gas tank treatment (dropped and flushed), battery, brakes, radiator, lower window seals, a/c compressor, and the list goes on. Its ready!! Just turn the key and ride!!!Also, have chrome bottom door/fender panels (as seen in the trunk pic), for extra pizzaz. In addition have Cragar 30 spoke chrome wire wheels but neither of these 2 items are installed yet and would be additional cost. Also, have a second brand new radiator and upper window seals, and passenger side mirror (not standard on the '69s, but was an availible option) as extra parts to go with the car.I willing to listen to reasonable offers, Enjoy the pics!!!
