I have here a very nice Buick Special Deluxe 350 cubic inch engine and 350 auto trans, Hooker headers, dual custom Flowmaster exhaust, fairly new blue metallic paint, new interior, new rear suspension, fairly new tires, starts right up in any weather, runs great, and sounds great. Its in really good condition and great for a daily driver or even a cruise night and needs no major repairs. The car also has the original air conditioning unit if you would like. Salvage title was inherited from previous owner when original engine gave out. Previous owner salvaged the title for the insurance money and then put in the new 350 engine it currently has which I am happy he did since its such a great engine, runs great, and a lot of fun. No major rust, only a tiny inch or two near rear window on surface. Under the body looks great too. See videos for full exterior, interior, and driving review. Engine runs great, sounds great, but could use a new exhaust header gasket since it now has the slight hissing/ticking sound from the header which is not really an issue. Car needs window weather stripping, but no major issues there either. All glass is in perfect shape, body in great shape, and engine and trans in great condition as well. The engine is a 350 4bbl from a 1977 Fullsize Buick , lots of power from that boat plus modern HEI , original TH 350 Auto Trans . No rust or even a hint of rust , clean floors and trunk floor . The body has a professional newer modern base coat clear coat two stage urethane refinish in the original color Antique Gold . I took close up photos of each panel to prove how good straight smooth and glossy the paint job is, just look at the mirror like gloss and reflection in the paint. The convertible top and all hydraulic related parts are all brand new this year . The top frame was completely stripped and refinished in semi gloss black . 1969 BUICK SKYLARK This is a 1969 Buick Skylark Custom. It is in very good condition. The car has had a lot of work done on it. It starts and drives well, needing nothing to be a daily driver. It needs a paint job and some detailing to finish it off. The wheels have rust on them, but look good from a distance. The body is very straight with only a slight ripple on the passenger side rear panel and a little bit of rust at the rear passenger wheel well. The rear drivers quarter panel, and the trunk floor have been replaced . The door, hood, and trunk gaps are very good. The windshield has a small crack from a flying stone. It has a 1969 GS400 hood and air cleaner installed. The black vinyl top is in good condition with no rips or tears. The interior is in good condition with average wear on the panels and carpet. The drivers seat has a rip in the bottom. This car has power windows, power door locks, rear window defogger, vacuum operated trunk release,and a tilt wheel out of a '72 El Camino. Mechanically the car is in very good shape with a lot of modifications done. It has 4 wheel power disc brakes, Corvette front and Cadillac rear. The rear control arms have been boxed with big sway bars front and rear. Energy suspension bushings, new ball joints, new springs bearings jeep steering box. The rear end is a 8.5 out of a '71 Skylark with press in axles. The engine is a Buick 350 with a Poston cam and intake, ta performance rod bolts, roller timing chain, 9 to 1 compression, arp studs, quadrajet carb, 2.5 inch exhaust. The transmission is a turbo 400 with switch pitch, two converters included. If you don't know what switch pitch is google it under Buick switch pitch or variable pitch 400. Very Original, Rust Free - 1969 Buick Custom Skylark Convertible - with rare factory A/C & 4 wheel factory disk brakes & 93K original miles. Local car that was built at the GM Delaware plant - sold in PA and spent most of it's life in PA & Ohio. I have owned this car for the last 5 years and have really enjoyed it. During my stewardship I've done a lot of work to this car - I had the trunk pan cut out and replaced with a factory stamped pan & painted with factory splatter paint. All new shocks, springs, control arms, tie rods, bushings have been installed. The hood had a few rust spots, the lower rear quarter panels & doors had some rust spots & the lower front fenders had a few rust spots developing - all where cut out & replaced with metal & the entire car was primed and painted - which took 6 months (this was done 3 years ago and I've put 2-3K on the car since doing the work). The car was painted in the color it was born with Cameo Cream & the shop did a really nice job with the body work & paint... it's not a show car, but it's really nice! I've gone through the motor and rebuilt the carburetor, took care of vacuum leaks, new belts, hoses, water pump, steering box & new battery - this car runs & handles as good as it looks. This year I removed the carpets & new black (period correct) carpets were installed & the front seat was completely disassembled, the springs were re-tied, frame was welded, all new foam on the seat bottom & backs. The factory convertible top is original - looks amazing & works perfectly (it has a glass rear window). The car does have a matching # 350 cubic inch engine, original carburetor and factory T350 Automatic Transmission - the car just purrs going down the road and the transmission fluid is clean and the car shifts perfectly. I also installed new radial tires last year - (all the way around) on the original factory mag wheels. The underside of this car is so clean - it looks closer to a 5 year old car vs. a 46 year old car. We never drive it in bad weather, never out in the winter & rarely wash it too keep any potential rust at bay. Including the cost of the car - I have almost $25K into this car & I get thumbs up every time I drive it.
