1969 DODGE DART GT. Slant six, 904, 7 1/4 rear. 123,077 miles. In very nice overall condition, frame, floors and trunk are solid, has been garaged since I bought it in 1992. No accident damage ever, original paint. Had front seats re-covered, otherwise interior is original, carpet, headliner and dash pad in nice condition. Lower quarters on both sides have rust issues. Vinyl top was replaced at some point, has some rust bubbles under the vinyl, see photos. Has 9 inch drum brakes all around, they will need repair or upgrade. Windshield has two small stone chips. All lights, gauges and speedo work well. Has AM/FM Cassette player under dash, original AM radio is intact. 14" steel rims. Original jack is in trunk, no spare. Has power steering. Runs and drives great except for the brakes. Have too many cars, had my fun with this one, time to let it go. No scams, no trades. I am located in Croton-on-Hudson, New York, near the Croton-Harmon train station. $500 deposit with paypal, remainder in cash on pickup, no other forms of payment accepted. Shipping is on you, will assist with your shipper. I would not recommend driving this car home, there are absolutely no issues with the motor/tranny/rear but the brakes really need attention. Clear title in my name. Come and see this car if you like, but please, respect our time, and we will respect yours.

The Dart received a much larger engine for compartment to make room for the new V8 option which included a variety of trick GTS V8 options. The GTS weighed in at less than 3,000 lbs and could be had with the 383 engine with a 330 horsepower version available in 1969. Take that, Nova SS! These specially equipped cars came with highflow exhaust systems, the Rallye suspension and the unique color palette available with the MOPAR line up. Dodge made some suspension changes to the GTS when the 383 was ordered including a larger front torsion bar and front sway bar, as the power was on the high side for these smaller bodied cars. This 1969 Dodge Dart GTS is a super sleeper equipped with the potent 383 CI 330 HP engine, heavy duty 727 transmission and 8/34 rear end. The car has just test miles on it since a complete rotisserie restoration back to original specification. It is beautifully finished from top to bottom and ready for your collection. The car comes with the build sheet and original fender tag. The GTS is finished in Dark Green Metallic over a body that was stripped down to bare metal and completely redone on a rotisserie. The paint is a base/clear job that has a fine polished shine to it and the body is very straight. The chrome on the car is new, and all of the trim which was removed for paint was polished before it was put back on the car and looks wonderful. Even the often neglected wing windows were rechromed. All of the rubber trim on the vehicle is new from front to rear and the doors and trunk close with ease. The engine is not the born-with motor but is date code correct for the car. The motor was just completely rebuilt as was the 727 transmission and 8 3/4 rear end. The engine compartment is immaculately detailed and features all of the correct lines, hoses, clamps and finished. The VIN of the car is stamped on the radiator support. The interior is all new and features the correct factory color. The car was originally ordered heater delete from the factory! I guess someone was going straight to the track! It now has brand new Vintage Air A/C. The seat covers have excellent fitment as does the headliner and dash. It also has brand new seat belts in the front and back. The car has the correct solid state AM radio as it did from the factory and it is in good working order. All of the gauges work as they should as do all of the interior and exterior lights. Factory B5 blue, black interior, stripe-delete. This car is one of 640 NHRA homologation cars produced with a 440 engine for 1969 only, and one of less than 40 M-code Darts currently known to exist. This car was purchased on May 20th, 1969 at the Dick Landy Drag Racing Clinic at White Bear Dodge in St. Paul, MN. From day one it was used as the factory intended - for the sole purpose of drag racing. I am just the second documented owner of this car, and posses a clean Colorado title in my name. This Dart is 99% rust-free. Despite being a Minnesota car, it's never seen a snowflake. The odometer shows just 39,984 original miles.Sale includes extensive documentation, including the original 1969 invoice, original 1969 registration card, original owners manual, color copies of the previous title in the original owner's name, the original fender tag, loads of time slips, newsletter articles, race history, class-champion plaques, etc. This car's original is original owner is well-known in the Midwest and is still building and racing some of the baddest Mopars in the country. The car was recently awoken from a deep 30-year sleep, and is still unrestored per se. However, over the course of the last three years it has received a $40,000 rebuild/refresh with preservation and period-correctness in mind. A few liberties were taken with respect to drive ability - factory Kelsey-Hayes disk brakes were added, for instance - but not many. The car presents itself very well, and with its documentation, blows minds whenever shown - though cosmetically, the car remains unchanged with respect to the way it looked as it was last raced. The car still wears most of its mid-70's paint, and is a spectacular example of an original, as-raced M-code... chips, dents, ripples, modifications... warts and all. Here are some details regarding what has been done to the car:Engine: 100% fresh 1969 440 w/ dated HP block, 906 heads with hardened seats, Manley valves, TRW pistons, HV oil pump. Mild Comp Cams hyd cam w/ adjustable push rods. Original '69 intake, valve covers, hardware, etc. Original, deepened A-body BB #893 pan. All machine work done right by Total Engine Service in Bloomington, MN. Runs on pump 91. Original factory motor mounts (chromed in the 70's by original owner) with new isolators. This engine is correctly dated and numbered, but is not the original motor to the car... please keep in mind that this car was competitively raced - The original block is long gone.Exhaust: New TTI chrome 2" x 3 1/2" headers. New complete TTI 2 1/2" system out the back. Sadly, I do not possess the original exhaust manifolds. They went where they belonged in 1969 - the dumpster.Fuel System: New Carter street/strip pump, new fuel tank and sender. New stainless 3/8" fuel line, heat wrapped near headers. New reproduction fuel filter and carb line. Brand new Edelbrock 750cfm carb on motor, rebuilt dated/correct Carter AVS in trunk. New Mancini correct repop air cleaner, pie tin, breather, NOS pcv valve, grommet, etc..Electrical/Ignition: Mopar electronic distributor, rebuilt & locked-out. New Mopar chrome box. New mini starter. New battery, new positive cable. New Evans engine wiring harness. New MSD plug wires. New alternator, relays, regulators, resistor, etc.Cooling: Correct, original-to-the car 065 radiator, beautifully rebuilt with correct bucket and new core. New water pump, thermostat, cap, new fan clutch. New correct reproduction upper rad hose, correct original lower, 7-blade fan, etc..Transmission: Fresh 727 with 10" converter. All new drive shaft & slip yoke w/ solid 7290s. Brand new transmission lines. Correct speedo gear installed w/ new speedo cable. Factory-appearing kick down linkage. New shifter bushings.Rear axle: All-fresh 8 3/4" Rear End, rebuilt center w/ new 3:55s, 489 case, factory sure-grip, new green bearings, gaskets, lube, etc.Suspension/Brakes: Brakes are 95% brand-new parts - new pads, shoes, cylinders, drums, ALL lines, hoses, seals, and master cylinder. Converted to factory K-H front disks. Front rotors are not new, they are factory rotors re-drilled for 5 on 4 1/2" pattern. New KYB shocks. New lower ball joints.Wheels/Tires: Brand new 6.40 x 15" Firestones on new ET 15x4" straight-spoke American magnesium copies up front, and brand new G70-15 Goodyear Polyglas Redlines on custom-made 15x6" chrome reverse wheels out back.Interior: New Legendary seat covers front and rear. New ACC carpet. New trunk divider, jute, package tray, rear armrest bases. Everything else inside is 100% original and very presentable - headliner, door panels, steering wheel, console, dashboard... including class winner plaques on dash.Body / Appearance: The engine compartment was stripped to bare metal. Fender-well header holes were patched, all incorrect holes filled, then body worked and painted to match exterior. Another factory GTS hood located, body worked and painted black; I still have the original hood but it has a "shaker" cutout in it as it was run in 1970. Complete firewall gasket kit installed. The wheel wells had been widened (not tubbed, but stretched) by the original owner.. This work was undone - the wheel houses sliced and returned to stock width. The quarters are not perfectly straight as a result of this work and would need to be body worked to be perfect. But they are certainly authentic to the time period. Wheel lips cut and rolled also, and decklid extensively lightened.Other: No heater; delete plates are riveted in place just like they were in '69. Original exhaust tips are included but not installed. New trunk mat. New Year-One 440 hood callouts. New hood weatherstrip @ rear. Many spares, many extras; trim, sills, hardware, bumper brackets, seat belts, original parts, etc.*******************This is a very special car, with very special history. It is also very fun to drive. Is it perfect? Not at all. But if you like old race cars, it is close. How about this slick 1969 Dodge Dart? With all the styling cues that make its bigger brothers so striking, plus potent performance with a thundering 340 inch small block, this is a car to be respected on the street. The B5 Blue finish is a perfect Mopar hue that's back in fashion today, and the ultra-straight flanks on the Dart wear it incredibly well. The two-stage urethane has an almost impossible shine, and it looks sleek and slippery with a great glow in the sunlight. These guys spent a lot of money getting this car into shape, and you'll note that the door gaps are excellent and the twin ornaments on the hood plus the bumblebee stripe give it a definite Mopar performance look. Even the grille is quite nice, the chrome has been shined up, and a white vinyl top accentuates the Dart's forward-canted shape. A lot of these were mere grocery-getters, but when you dress it up properly the way this one has been, it definitely has presence. Even the stance suggests speed and performance, and the whole car looks a lot more expensive than it is. The interior is where the Dart's economy-car roots are most evident, but that only meant that you could afford the hardware that mattered when you walked into the showroom in 1969. Nobody did big performance on a budget like Chrysler Corporation. The original bench seats have been reupholstered in two tone blue vinyl, which looks awesome with the bright blue paint. There are also correct door panels, relatively recent carpets, and a wide instrument panel with a full array of gauges. The steering wheel is factory original and includes a "Beep-beep" Road Runner horn button and a tachometer has been strapped to the side of the steering column where it won't block your view. The original Music Master AM radio with Mopar's favorite thumbwheel controls still lives in the middle of the dash and the back seat looks almost new. The Dart also offers a surprisingly roomy trunk, with the one in this car featuring a new mat that fits well and gives it a clean, well-tended look. The Dart's real claim to fame, however, is under the hood. No need for a big block when you have a lightweight shell, but the date-code correct 340 has been bored .060 oversize and fitted with a Mopar Performance "purple" camshaft. With a big Holley 760 4-barrel carburetor, it thumps out more than 450 horsepower. It means the light weight handling remains but there's a bunch of low-end torque and a vicious snarl from the dual exhaust, and enough power to push this car into the mid-12s in the quarter-mile. The engine is dressed in proper Hemi Orange and wears a cool Mopar Performance dress-up kit, too, so it certainly looks the part. It's backed by a TorqueFlite automatic built for combat and a 3.55 Sure-Grip gearset out back, as well as a set of long-tube headers and a fresh Flowmaster exhaust system. Traditional aluminum Centerlines wear 225/60/14 front and 245/60/14 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials. A very cool compact with big money spent in all the right places, backed by more than $40,000 in built costs. Forget the big names, the Dart will show them how it's done.
