We have a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunnner, original 383c.i. engine that's runs fantastic. this is a real Roadrunner, bench seat column shift car, that has underwent a complete rebuild. Completely rust free, west coast car. Still has Oregon title. Much attention to detail went into this car. some liberties were taken such as the year one 17" magnum 500 wheels, the 2.5" exhaust, and the powdercoated K-member; but for the most part car was left as original as possible. The car runs and drives excellent, the interior has had both seats recovered and the headliner and carpet replaced. All weather stripping was replaced, and the front suspension replaced and aligned. drives great down the highway and sounds incredible with the headers and 2.5" flowmaster exhaust. This is an incredible car, and deserves to be enjoyed

I have 1969 Plymouth Road Runner project, 2 dr post, 383/727 column shift that needs full restoration. I have an additional 100+ photos for serious buyers. Shoot me an email and I can send them over if you provide me an email address. Non numbers matching. I've had this car for the last 7 years in my possession. What I was told about the motor/trans is that "it has a mild cam just over .400 inch lift and 282 duration, it is very streetable, stock compression was 10 to 1 making 330 horse power and 425 foot ponds of torque. This assembly is around 9.8 to 1, the heads have been worked, and the monstrous valves gulp in even more fuel and air. The 727 is firm with a 3000 stall converter to keep it from pushing at a red light. It is a balanced assembly." Now I cannot verify that, so take it for what it's worth. I did ensure the motor turned over by hand before I put it back in the car for transport purpose and I had stored it properly. The Radiator is leaking bad, I may decide to put another one in for testing purposes as I had bought new plugs and wires to get it started, but if I do get the motor running price will go up. I had many new parts for it that I recently threw on the car for transport purposes, new hemi rear leaf springs (installed, Mancini extended spring eye and re-enforcement plate (installed), donor frame rail (installed), 2 piece trunk pan welded in but needs some massaging where it meets the back seat area, driver side trunk extension (installed), have passenger side extension as well, rear cross member (installed). full suspension rebuild kit (driver side fully on, needs torque on some components, but good enough to move vehicle), lower control arm bushings (installed), new fuel lines, new drum shoes (installed, springs, wheel cylinders (installed), new drums, drum rebuild kits, driver side full quarter skin in pic, new mopar shocks (installed). I believe rear gear ratio is 3.23. Rear end needs full rebuild. The car has a Safe T Cap fix on the front driver side frame rail (all offending rust underneath was cut out and sealed), it's solid and stronger than stock see pic, and the last 12-18 inches of the rear driver side was cut and donor was welded in, (Needs filler metal, but plenty strong, has reinforcement on the outside as well as inside the frame rail.) The wheels and tires, will need to be replaced as they are both garbage (one leaks bad, but I will use fix a flat, just to get it on a trailer when someone comes to take it), seats probably are only good for frames. Major issues in floor were patched in, but there are a few other issues, nothing major though, minor holes that could use some plugging, or if you want to do it right then new floor pans, but fine for a driver I think. Needs all wiring (This is a full restoration project) with some components completed. Floor pans are now black btw. I couldn't fit in the pics, but lower passenger side rear quarter needs work, outside wheel housings as well. It's fine for driving though. Really depends what type of resto you are looking for. I have clear title from previous owner, I will provide bill of sale from my side. Please, if your close to central, NJ. Come take a look first before bidding. I want to make sure whoever gets it is happy with it. Also as stated above, have an additional 100+ photos for buyers from out of state if need be. ONLY BIDDERS WITH 100% Feedback and at least 5 transactions please. All else will be cancelled. I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time. Car will not leave my driveway until it's paid in full. Thank you for looking.

--> Year: 1969 Mileage: 53495 Primary color: Transmission type: 3 Speed Automatic Engine: 383 V8 1969 Plymouth Road Runner This gorgeous, 1969 Road Runner is powered by it's matching numbers drivetrain. The 383 and torqueflight transmission have been rebuilt, with a little more performance in mind. The engine was done by Dean Nicopolis. He installed a 480 lift cam, the heads were ported with matched gaskets. Dean decided to stick with the original Carter AFB AVS carb. The transmission was done by Joels on Joy in Detroit. The original, point distributor is also still employed and was curved on a Sun Machine. The original, red painted brake drums have been rebuilt and work nicely, the original radiator and exhaust manifold are still on the Road Runner. The original, dual snorkel air cleaner, which was a California smog requirement, is also still on the car. The floor pans, gauges, interior door panels and trunk are original. The bumpers and stainless are from the factory and have been polished and re-chromed. The Mopar has had one respray in it's original color. A new vinyl top was installed, as was all new tinted glass. A new grill and headlight bezels, NOS rear taillight housings and door handles, along with new exhaust and tips were used during the restoration. The original wheels (which are no longer available) were replaced with 15 inch Torq Thrust TTO's. You'll be very impressed with how nice, correct and original this car is. It was featured in Mopar Collectors Guide and Rob Wolfe, the editor and found, was very impressed with this specific Road Runner. It has been shown and placed or won in every show. It's that nice!! The original wheels (which are no longer available) were replaced with 15 inch Torq Thrust TTO's. Please note, this car is NOT in the showroom. UP FOR BIDS IS A 1969 PLYMOUTH ROAD RUNNER RAM AIR TRIBUTE CAR SPORTING TOTALLY REBUILT 383 AUTO 727 TORQUEFLITE 3.55 8/3/4. PICTURES TELL THE TALE. VIDEO WILL BE UPLOADED. A VERY POPULAR CAR AT THE VARIOUS CAR SHOWS WITH A SURPRISING AMOUNT OF trophies for this one IN STOCK CLASS. SHOWS AND RUNS WELL. THIS WAS A TOTALLY RUST FREE BODY WITH A V8. NO UNDER BODY PANELS/MEMBERS OR OUTER BODY PANELS HAD TO BE REPLACED ON THIS ONE. THE PREVIOUS OWNER WHO DID MOST OF THE PREP WORK SOMEWHERE PROCURED A FACTORY RAM AIR HOOD WHICH ARE EXTREMELY RARE AND HARD TO FIND ON OR OFF ROADRUNNERS AS IT WAS AN EXTRA COST OPTION AND A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THE CARS WERE SO EQUIPPED. THIS CAR WAS CONVERTED TO POWER ASSISTED FRONT DISC BRAKES, IT HAD POWER ASSISTED STEERING. IT HAS THE DELUXE OUTER BODY TRIM AND BUMPER GUARDS.PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY ASKED ME ABOUT THE ENGINE, IT HAS A EDELBROCK AVS DESIGN CARBURETOR AND A SINGLE PLANE EDLEBROCK ALUMINUM MANIFOLD WITH SPECIALTY HEADERS, AFTERMARKET HEADS, AND OVERBORED. I WILL POST THE SPECS FROM THE RECEIPTS, JUST DON'T KNOW THEM OFF THE TOP. IT HAS A SPECIALTY AFTERMARKET MULTIPLE CORE ALUMINUM RADIATOR THAT SHOULD HAVE EITHER A BETTER SHROUD, OE FAN, OR SOME ELECTRIC FANS, BUT IT DOES OK IN STATIC SITUATIONS. IN CRUISES AND PARADES, JUST NOT AS COOL AS I WOULD THINK IT SHOULD BE IN HOT WEATHER, BUT I HAVE NOT BEEN SUMMONED TO REMEDY ANY SITUATION THERE, SO THATS MY PRO OPINION BUT I AM NOT THE ONE WHO HAS TO DRIVE THE CAR. THERE IS UNDER 3000 MILES SINCE ITS RESTORATION AND ITS NOT LIKE THE RESTORATION WAS FINISHED TWO DAYS AGO IT HAS BEEN DONE FOR AT LEAST FIVE YEARS. And yes the little clone road runner in the trunk on the spare tire THAT LOOKS JUST LIKE THIS CAR) cover comes with it as far as I know. THIS CAR HAS A JACK AND SPARE THAT FOR SOME REASON HAVE NOT BEEN DETAILED, AND IT IS JUST A REGULAR BIAS PLY TIRE ON A STAMPED STEEL WHEEL. WE NEEDTO REPLACE THE AMP METER BECAUSE THE OWNER DOES NOT LIKE HOW IT IS RESPONDING, ALTHOUGH THE CHARGING SYSTEM VOLTAGE CHECKS OUT OK. ALL CHROME WORK REDONE INCLUDING DOOR HANDLES, THERE ARE NO JUNK EYESORE POTMETAL OR OTHER ASKEW CHROME ON THIS CAR, EVEN THE BUMPER GUARDS WERE SENT TO THE REPLATER. RARE FACTORY RIM BLOW WHEEL. TOTALLY NEW INTERIOR INCLUDING HEADLINER (no rat turd headliners here) WHOLE BOOK WORTH OF RECEIPTS. A LOT OF MONEY AND HOURS IN THIS CAR AND THE GUYS THAT DID THE BODYWORK BASICALLY DID A BARE METAL $50,000 RESTORATION (BARE METAL) ON THIS VEHICLE IF THEY HAD BEEN PAID AND THEN I CHARGED THE OWNER SEVERAL THOUSAND MORE IN LABOR AND HE (OWNER) IN THE INTERIOR AND DETAILING, PARTS, ETC.). ON THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER THERE IS NO JUNK CABLE SET-UP JUST FACTORY SHIFT PIVOT BRACKET BOLTED TO THE TRANSMISSION HOUSING UTILIZING FACTORY SHIFT ROD SETUP AS WAS O.E.. THERE'S ONE SMALL DENT IN THE RIGHT REAR ROOF PILLAR AREA THAT CAN BE REMOVED WITH PAINTLESS DENT REMOVAL (stray airborne object on the freeway) OTHER THAN THAT IS STRAIGHT WITH FEW (3) TOUCH UP CHIPS), $10,000 PAINT JOB NICE GLASS, STAINLESS MOULDINGS WERE POLISHED AND THEY DID NOT DAMAGE THEM UPON REMOVING AND INSTALLING THEM. HAS SOME KIND OF REAL VENEER WOOD DASH INSERT, CAN'T TELL YOU ANYMORE ABOUT IT LOOKS OK.. AFTERMARKET CD PLAYER. NICE MOULDED 80/20 NYLON CARPET (dead ringer for o.e.) WITH SOUND DEADENING INSULATION. NEW LIGHT LENSES FOR DOME LIGHT AND CONSOLE LIGHTS, THE TRUNK CUSTOMIZATION IS TOTALLY REMOVABLE AND IT IS NOT HIDING ANYTHING EITHER, SOMEBODY THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA. DELIVERY ARRANGEMENTS COME SEE IT START IT LOOK IT OVER, BUT THE VIDEO I WILL POST FROM ON A RACK WILL BE MOST REVELATORY AND MIGHT SAVE YOU A TRIP, BUT LATELY THE WEATHER HERE HAS BEEN BAD. questions for me Mike, mechanics' mechanic 541-301-1185 sorry no Saturday or Sunday checks, this is to be a cash or certified bank check transaction, even wire transfer from a bank that we have a local branch to verify RETRIEVE (cash/ funds on a WEEKDAY) $500.00 DEPOSIT VIA PAYPAL WILL BE REQUIRED AT THE END OF THIS AUCTION TO SECURE THE SALE. AS PER THE OWNERS REQUEST IT HAS BEEN MY MANDATE TO MAINTAIN THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE to be at READY STATUS AT ALL TIMES FOR CAR SHOWS ETC./I.E. FLY IN DRIVE IT HOME IF YOU CHOOSE. CLEAR TITLE

In 1968, the first muscle cars were, in the opinion of many, moving away from their roots as relatively cheap, fast cars as they gained options. Although Plymouth already had a performance car in the GTX, designers decided to go back to the drawing board and reincarnate the original muscle car concept. Plymouth wanted a car able to run 14-second times in the quarter mile (402 m) and sell for less than US$3000. Both goals were met, and the low-cost muscle car hit the street. The success of the Road Runner would far outpace the upscale and lower volume GTX, with which it was often confused.   The 1969 model kept the same basic look but with some slight changes such as tail lights and grille, side marker lights, optional bucket seats, and new Road Runner decals. The Road Runner added a convertible option for 1969 with 2128 droptop models produced that year. All were 383 engine cars, except for ten 426ci Hemi convertible cars. Six of those Hemi convertibles were automatics and four were four-speed manual transmissions. Six are known to exist. Hate to sell this car, chances are I will never find another one like it, this car was my next project, but I do not believe I will get to it. I don’t need to sell this car but if someone is looking for a great project here’s your chance. 1969 Plymouth Road Runner 383 4 BBL, 4 Speed, 2 door Coupe. Factory TX9 Exterior with TX9 Interior see fender tag. Factory Black exterior and Black interior colors. This was the bad boy 383 car of the day. Air grabber, 4 speed, max cooling, Hemi suspension, Power Disc. Brakes, Power Steering w/ cooling Tube Fins, 3.91 sure grip car, with 3 Speaker Dash 8 track player. Been sitting a very long time. N.O.M. Motor Car has 66' 383 runs and sounds very good just put a little gas down the carburetor and it starts right up, you will need to have the gas tank cleaned or replaced before you could start driving the car and the Clutch assembly needs to be replaced it slips and throw-out bearing makes noise, Brakes need to be rebuilt, the breaks don’t work at all. Car will need to be towed to your location and will require a winch to get it on a trailer/transport. Car is mostly complete. At one point car had been given a paint job and a semi- restoration of sort. This was never completed from what I can tell. Painted original black again at the time. Still retains its hemi suspension, leaf springs, torsion bars, etc. Has air grabber air cleaner, ducting is not present. Original air grabber cable included. Original 4 piston front disc brake set up. Trunk floor, Floor pans, wheel houses, inner fenders, Frame rails, Firewall, and below the rear window are all solid no replacement needed Surface rust only very solid body. Very small rust areas on Driver’s and Passenger door and quarter panel, only small patch panels needed. Data plate has never been removed from this vehicle. I never found a build sheet. Car is fairly complete. This is excellent restoration project - solid body very minimal metal work required. 1969 Plymouth Road Runner **NUMBER MATCHING** power steering ~FACTORY TACH~ EXTERIOR: The body is very straight and solid and the car is still the original red. The doors close with ease, as does the hood and trunk. The paint (Factory color) is a few years old, but is holding up well and is on the higher end of the ‘driver quality’ scale. The decals and stripes all look great. INTERIOR: The interior looks to be original and still shows well for its age. The bench seat feels good and the carpet is in great shape. It has the factory tachometer that still works as it should. Still has the original seat belts in place as well. MECHANICAL: The matching 383 with its original exhaust manifolds still reside in the car. The engine cranks with ease and runs like it should. The Torqueflite transmission shifts firmly and performs without fuss. The power steering makes turning the car an easy proposition. The factory drum brakes stop the car without any drama. NOTE* This car is matching numbers and still has its original fender tag. Please don’t hesitate to call/text James at 469.4oo.9291 if you have any questions about the car or would like specific photos. I have it advertised on a few other sites and will take this ad down without notice when it sells. Thanks for looking!!
