Restored in 2008, the truck drives and looks very nice. Rebuilt 350 runs great! No smoke, noises, or irregularities. Starts right up and purrs very nicely. Rebuilt turbo 350 transmission shifts nice and strong. Truck drives true and straight down the road –steering is nice and tight. Brakes work well and stop the truck on a dime. Truck has ¾ ton airbag suspension and 4.10 posi traction rear. All lights and gauges work as they should. Truck has dual exhaust that is nice and quiet at idle, but has some roar when you step on it! Interior is real clean. Additions to the truck include electronic ignition, tow hitch with brake controller, manual choke, and sun visor. Overall in very good mechanical condition! Fly in and drive it home! Truck is in good shape, but does have a few imperfections. A/C is hooked up but needs a recharge. Truck has some blistering over passenger side rear wheel (see pics). Paint shines well, but has a bit of orange peel when looking close up. Truck is about 85% rust-free with a few pinholes in bed and side floor pans (see pics). Frame is very solid as is the rest of the truck. Speedometer is a few mph off as well. Has a few scratches and dings here and there on the body, but very presentable. Overall the truck is about a 7/10. It’s a 7 year old restoration that makes for a great daily driver or weekend toy. Comes with a clean and clear Virginia title. Sold as-is. However, at every car show, cruise, or auctions nationwide, there are hundreds always on display. How can this be? The answer is very simple. They are clones or reproductions! The 1970 Chevelle SS is one of the most counterfeited models in the muscle car hobby. It is also one of the easiest to reproduce. There are absolutely no proprietary numbers, codes, vin indicators, etc. exposed or hidden on an SS that definitively prove the authenticity, that cannot be faked or reproduced. In addition, virtually every SS component is now available from aftermarket suppliers. Building a clone is as easy as ordering parts and assembling the car. So how can the buyers be positive they are purchasing the real deal? Simple- documentation. Original, rock solid documentation, not reproduced paperwork with a cup of Folger’s coffee spilled on it. The body need some minor work done where the antenna use to be and door hinges. New seats, carpet, and headliner. I have done some floor work to get rid of the rust. Four-wheel disc brakes. 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Overview: This vehicle underwent a full 2.5 year restoration, completed in 2013. All gaps on this car are perfect, and the paint is immaculate. The rear marker lights were deleted, the front and rear bumpers were tucked in for a smoother look. The front and rear bumpers along with all trim were sent to Ogden Chrome where they were nickle brushed. The paint scheme was completed in Mercedes black and silver and accented with the popular Chevrolet Victory Red. All new glass was installed, new headlights and front marker lights, and the original tail lights were reinstalled with LED upgrade. Drive train: This Chevelle has a 6.2 L L92 with LS3 Intake, Competition Cam and package from Texas Speed Cam/Lifter/Rockers. It also has Corvette LS3 engine accessories, custom made valve covers, Vintage Air 5 AC system, Ron Davis Radiator, Jeep Cherokee power steering, Spear tech modified harness, Edelbrock complete exhaust system featuring full length headers. It has a Borg Warner T56-6 speed transmission, LS7 Clutch/Flywheel, and a Hurst shifter. . The car has Chevelle 12 bolt rear with 3.73 True Track rear end and brand new Moser axles. It has been tuned and dyno tuned at Speed Sports at 410 rear wheel horsepower. Wheels and Suspension: This Chevelle has Rushforth Whiplash wheels, 19x8 front, 20x10 rears with Nitto tires, 255/40/19 in front and 295/35/20 in rear. It has Kore3 brake components comprised of C5 Corvette brakes and Wilwood master cylinder, pads and rotors. In addition the car also has Savitski Classic and Custom Pro Touring Suspension Stage 2-plus kit, Bilstein shocks, performance springs, Hellwig sway bar, adjustable front upper A-arms and an all new front end. Exterior: This car has all of the original metal except an aftermarket cowl hood. Rust free 1971 original fenders from an Arizona parts car were used to eliminate front marker lights and rear marker lights. Extensive body work was done by Drew Brothers Customs in Arizona to make sure every gap is perfect. Digi-Tails front and rear LED marker lights, front and rear bumpers are nickle brushed. All of the chrome has a stainless look and all the glass was replaced and tinted 20% which makes this Chevelle one of a kind. . Up for sale is my 1970 Chevelle malibu. This car is a project car and has been sanded down, but has a very solid foundation. The floors are solid and the whole undercarriage of the car has been painted. It has a 10 bolt rear end. The doors close like new and has no bondo. The rear quarter panels had minor rust but were cut out. I have 2 brand new quarter panels that just need to be welded on. The rear drivers side inner rear wheel has minor rust as well. You can see in the pictures where the trunk closes, it had rust as well but was also cut out and replaced. It does have the cowl induction hood with the flap, but does have minor rust. The interior has bucket seats and I also have the head rest that will go with the car. I do have both bumpers, but they were taken off. I have the front bumper brand new still in the box that will as well go with the car. The car has a new electric fuel pump and sender in the gas tank. The car was running before but pulled out the motor. It has motor mounts set up for a big block. I do have the front light bezels, they just need some good polishing. I do have the rest of the chrome molding that goes around the windshield. The car is a very solid project. Car does have a clear and clean title.
