You are looking at my classic 1970 Ford F100 Long Bed Pickup Truck. I am only the second owner and have put an entirely new engine ($4,500.00) in her just 4 years ago. Original odometer reads 115,665. It had 79,000 on it when I replaced the engine. So new engine has 36,665 on it! NO POWER STEERING OR BRAKES. THIS BABY IS ALL ORIGINAL. TRANSMISSION COOLER ADDED FOR TOWING, AND 3K HITCH PUT ON FOR TOWING TRAILERS/CAMPERS ETC. BRAND NEW LARGE RADIATOR TO KEEP COOL! RECENT $400 TUNE UP, ALL SYSTEMS GO! A new Optima battery (red top) has been installed, and a new correct reproduction battery hold down added. This F-100 wears it’s original intake manifold, original carburetor, original choke assembly, original coil, original points distributor, original exhaust manifolds, original 2-1 exhaust mid section, and single muffler exhaust system. Everything is functional and working correctly. The body fit is excellent, and the doors open and close beautifully, as do the hood, and tailgate. It has all the original glass with the exception of the windshield which has recently been replaced along with the seal. The side windows roll up and down easily and smoothly, and the door locks works smoothly with a solid feel. This truck starts easily cold or hot, idles smoothly and accelerates briskly. The carburetor and factory choke are adjusted correctly and they work perfectly, even in cold temperatures. The transmission is original, and shifts smoothly and quietly. The entire truck drives amazingly well with good straight line tracking, strong braking, strong driveline, and solid construction. It handles and rides very well being just 4500 GVW, and wearing radial tires. The Twin I-Beam front suspension really works well, and as Ford advertised “Works like a Truck, but rides like a Car”. The 3.25 ratio rear axle allows easy 70-80 mph freeway speeds. Throughout the entire process, every effort was made to preserve and maintain the originality of this amazing truck using correct original replacement parts or NOS parts. The upgrades to the cooling system and brakes were essential for safer driving. Sale includes most all the original parts that were removed. Needless to say this F-100 gets attention and compliments regularly, but nobody can believe it’s still a mostly original un-restored truck. As they say “it’s only original once”. 1970 FORD F100 RANGER XLT460 WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION This Beautiful Ford F100 has been my project for me for the last three years and I sparred no expense making it the bad ass truck I wanted. But with time comes changes and I am reluctantly selling it. I suppose I will start with the engine. I replaced the original running 360 motor, headers and original automatic transmission (which I still have all for new owner) and replaced with a rebuilt 460 with mild cam and Holley 750 double pumper. Also rebuilt the transmission just in case. Both have less then 1,200 miles. I also replaced every single part under the hood with new parts including the radiator. It's a new truck now! I have over eighteen thousand dollars $$$ in receipts for the new owner. I can't list everything here. The drive line was replaced to fit the new engine and trans. It has new headers and dual exhaust. This truck sounds awesome and as you can imagine hauls ass! It has 4 brand new Cooper Cobra G/T radial tires. I had line lock installed. New carpet kit inside with wood steering wheel. Yes I have the original wheel. Sun Tach. Power steering. It has the back fiberglass top that came with the truck when I purchased it. This truck still has plenty of patina. I had some of the lower white resprayed but the green is older paint but not original of course. The only boo boo I did is two scratches on the back passenger side. I included pictures of right after I did it and then I put some touch up paint on them for now. Something I was hauling slipped off the side. I removed the side gas tank because I wanted to lower it. The truck starts right up, runs perfect, and is always stored in my garage. I'm sure I left out plenty but the pictures and video tell the story. It one an award the first time I showed it, even though it is a driver not a show truck. 1970 Ford F-100 Pickup Step Side Short Bed 360 engine with a C6 transmission Starts and runs great. We recently replaced the battery and installed 4 brand new tires. The previous owner used this as his daily driver. We bought it back in January and have only used it around the shop to pickup parts etc. We were planning on making it into a cool "shop truck", but we have too many projects going on now. I hate to see it sit so much so hopefully someone else can get some enjoyment out of it. Besides the tires and battery we have not done a thing to the truck. We bought it from a guy in January. The truck made the two hour trip back with no issues, but we have probably only put 100 miles on it since then. It cranks up easy every time. It has a newer paint job, but it has a little rust in it. Nothing I would consider major though. There are some spots on the hood and also in the cab at the kick panels. The previous owner had the engine and trans rebuilt however I don't have the paperwork on it. The truck has a few issues....the steering has the typical ford "play" in it. We have not attempted to adjust the steering box. It has manual steering and manual brakes. The tailgate is included but we never installed it. We have new hinges for it, but the hardware securing the old hinges is broken off and needs to be drilled out. We also have the missing chrome trim off of the hood. Do not expect a show truck but it has some potential. Or just drive it like it is. I am also posting the previous owner's description below. Just FYI. Feel free to call or message with any questions. This truck is driven DAILY and comes with recent Virginia state safety inspection. Engine is a rebuilt 2bbl 360 (no smoke). Transmission is a newly rebuilt c6 auto (just installed with receipts) with all work completed by J&K Auto and Transmission in Marion VA. The paint is recent and is driver quality but bed was painted later (previous owner switched from fleetside to step side) and is very slightly darker as it is newer than the cab. Some small bubbles can be seen a few places but the truck is very presentable as-is. Bed has new polished strips but wood is not original type and would need replaced for a restoration but again, for a driver it works fine. The tailgate is not installed as shown in pictures but is matching and in good condition and comes with new polished stainless hinges. The aluminum wheels are in excellent condition. The truck has lots of other new parts including radiator and complete exhaust from the manifolds back as original. Manual steering and drum brakes all around. Good little truck but does need some work here and there
