Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Entertaining offers on my classic fastback z car that would be a unique addition to any collection. Not for the faint of heart or those who avoid drawing attention. I've never taken it on the street without someone taking a pic or shooting a thumbs up. Even gotten praise from 'jdm' purists on more than one occasion. ZERO rust anywhere. Laser straight body, back halved, reinforced frame and custom metal work. Stronger front springs and struts to handle the extra weight. Emblems and rear bumper shaved for a super sleek look. Engine is a freshened, built 400 crank horse small block chevy with a rowdy solid roller crower cam, trw 30 over pistons, higher compression gm heads, port matched, pete jackson noisy gear drive (sounds like a blower motor), MSD ignition and a custom quick fuel 750 carb under realistic crower/hilborn injection cover. Carter electric fuel pump. The transmission is a th700r4 built to handle 500 ft lbs, with stage 2 b&m kit. In the rear is a Ford 9 inch detroit locker connected to mark williams 35 spline axles and Micky's 28x18 dot's. Suspension is a 4 link built into custom rear chassis section with adjustable dampening coilovers. 4 wheel disc brakes with corvette style booster, accessible through a flip up panel atop the fender. Rack and pinion steering. Custom seats with 4 point harnesses matched to steering wheel. Painless wiring harness, tidy and organized. Autometer phantom gauges - tach, speed, water temp, amps, oil pressure. All lights, signals and wipers working. Custom 4 core radiator with twin electric fans and a tranny cooler. Stays cool in the sun all day even in traffic! STREET LEGAL -- ALL LIGHTS, BRIGHTS, SIGNALS, ETC WORKING CLICK HERE TO HEAR MOTOR Cool nostalgic pro street look but very streetable and weighs under 2300 pounds! Hooks up, accelerates hard and leaves straight. It’s a bit dirty in the pictures as I haven’t really had the time to enjoy it the past couple months. Never had a chance to take to the strip, only cruise nights and some shows. Could use a roll cage if used primarily for racing. Some paint blems, chips, scrapes and a few cracks from road usage. Small crack on lower left headlight case. Needs a gas gauge (have to use dipstick) and there's no speedo cable hooked up, so I DO NOT KNOW THE EXACT MILAGE..its low as its only been a pleasure vehicle. Also needs a new latch on left side of the rear hatch. Currently, the exhaust goes straight out through the collectors/reducers which might be too loud for the street but there is also a full custom flowmaster exhaust that sounds awesome as well as wheelie bars for an over the top pro street look. Video to show engine sound and ease of starting:YouTube (Note: had just installed new pro billet MSD dist and timing / idle were a bit high) Will consider any REASONABLE offers, as we live in a world of dreamers and lowballers (I've already had two deals fall through). I'd like to get some debt payed off on a new project and could use the extra space. This is a great chance to own a well sorted, affordable hot rod or an excellent platform for a more serious race car build..all the arduous stuff is DONE. Current reg/collector plates and clean open CO title in my name. Deposit due within 48 hours and full payment due one week from deposit. Buyer is responsible for any shipping fees. The car is sold AS-IS. I've done my best to accurately and honestly present it, feel free to call or text with any more questions at (303) 807-7379. Thanks for lookin!

1973 Datsun 240Z with Chevy V8 conversion and a T5 manual 5 speed transmission. Installation was done professionally and is very clean. Have shop manuals, conversion book, and all receipts on engine work. Engine has Summit Racing double hump style heads and Edlebrock 4 barrel carburetor, deep oil pan, aluminum radiator with electric fan, electric fuel pump with manual shut off switch, and shorty headers. Has quick ratio manual steering that give a great feel for the road. Has new dual chambered mufflers. Has Toyota calipers and rotors on front for added stopping power. For extra rigidity and handling, has strut supports front and rear and has roll bar installed. Recently installed new wheels and tires with fewer than 1000 miles on them. The seats, headliner, and dash are in excellent condition. There is a crack in the vinyl on driver's side door panel. Has aftermarket tachometer and oil pressure gauge. Radio not hooked up. This is a very RAW fun car to drive. The low weight combined with the power of the 350 make this car extremely quick. It is the fastest, best handling car I have driven. It pains me to let this one go, but I've got other projects going on and need some $$$. If you are looking for a fast and great handling car, this one is for you! Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the listing at anytime. Please ask questions and I'll do my best to get you some answers. A $500 deposit is required within 24hrs with balance due within 7 days. Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements.

1973 Datsun 240Z Original drive train is in good working order. I got this car as a partial trade. It took me 5 minutes to get the car started with starter fluid and a gas can. Just sprayed the fluid in the carbs and hit the key and it fired right up. I was amazed. I have not driven the car because the fuel system, including the gas tank will need a good cleaning. My guess is the car has been sitting for a while, but this is a solid car. With a good fuel system cleaning, flush the cooling system, change the hoses and radiator flush and check the breaks and you will have a good solid driver while you work on the body. As you can see from the pictures there is rust in all the common places, but the rust is only superficial body rust and all replacement panels are available. There is no rust in the frame rails or under carriage. Someone fiber glassed the floors. It’s an amateur job but the floors are solid. This is a solid project that would not take much to be a nice classic 240Z. Any questions Text me for quick answers. 407-592-3500 Scott

0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false Up for sale, a beautiful Datsun 240 Z finished in rally flats white over black interior. Enthusiast owned and very well cared for. This is a California, garage-kept 240z and is in original condition with tasteful “period correct” performance modifications. Body is fitted with properly installed fender flares to accommodate wider wheels and lowered suspension. Rear fenders have been rolled and not cut and front fenders have not been rolled or cut. Under the hood is an upgraded inline 6 L-26 with Edlebrock carburetor, capping the 6=8 Clifford intake manifold. Performance headers feeding to 2 ½” pipe back to a 4” tone resonator (sounds amazing yet not too loud). Electric fuel pump with dialable pressure regulator. Pertronix ignition and Flame Thrower coil, aluminum radiator with electric adjustable thermostatic fan. Engine is mated to a factory 5 speed transmission. Clutch shifts smoothly. No oil leaks and burns no oil. Always starts on the first turn of the key. Electrical upgraded to a Painless fuse-block. All lights and turn signals work. Interior is in excellent condition with period correct flourishes such as the vintage Izumi four spoke steering wheel and the Monoco rally seats. Carpets are like new and un-faded. No rips or tears anywhere. Windows roll up and down as they should and the doors lock. Wheels and suspension: Watanabe 15x 9s with new Goodyear 215-60-R15 all matching. Tokico comp lowering springs, urethane bushings all around. Steering is very tight and responsive. Buy this 240z for a fraction of what you would pay for a 911 of similar vintage, and beat them on the track. I have owned both. The 240z is stronger faster lighter and has legendary reliability and need I say, far less expensive to maintain.

Offered for sale is an outstanding example of the iconic Japanese sports car that is the 240z. This Z was sold new in Bakersfield, CA to a man that bought the car for his wife. They owned the car for nearly 40 years until they reluctantly sold it as it wasn't driven anymore. It was always kept in the garage. The very rare, crack free original dash along with the condition of the rest of the car speaks to this. Nearly everything on the car is original including the numbers matching motor and all the functioning smog equipment. It was repainted once in the late 70's but looks as if it were done recently. It has never been hit or taken apart, all the body lines and gaps are crisp and correct. It also avoided ever getting the popular dealer installed door bumper guards. All factory rubber and weather-strip is still flexible and nice. Glass is also all original and crystal clear. Recently it has been inspected for safety and found to still be using Sumitomo front brake pads, which are believed to be only installed at the factory, this along with pedal wear and overall condition makes the 37k on the odometer believable as actual mileage. However there is no documentation to verify this so it may have rolled over once. The pads are still safe so they remain, though it did receive fresh oil, plugs, new water pump, drive belts, and filters. The factory A/C has also been recharged and works! Tires are Michelin X with 80% tread remaining. Also instead of points it now has an electronic pickup for reliability. It did receive new exhaust as well which is louder than the stock can and makes the exhaust note sound fantastic. I would love to keep the car but must let it go to a new owner, who will I hope, care for it as I have. Since I've owned it has been kept in the garage and to keep it rust free have never used water to wash it, only careful waterless cleaning. Overall, it is a turn key car that is fully functional and a pleasure to drive. It feels like driving a new car, it's nice and tight and performs as it should. If you're looking for a fun to drive classic that will only go up in value don't let this one get away. Please ask questions - inspections are encouraged - sold as is with no warranty implied.

This is a 1973 Datsun 240z that I have been working on for the last 3 years.First I installed a 3.5 Olds aluminum V8 and a T-5 5 speed trans, This involved a new drive shaft and a new hydraulic throw out bearing. I then upgraded the braking system with vented rotors and heavy duty calipers up front and solid disk breaks in back. I also installed a larger master cylinder and a hydraulic e-brake (Drift Brake). The next step was body and paint, I reinforced the floor frame rails to go the full distance of the floor to handle the extra power. There were a few minor rust spots that I repaired along with adding the new custom front and rear bumpers. I then painted it sunset orange witch is a little lighter and a lot brighter than the original orange. I am not a professional body man or painter but it turned out real nice. Not show quality but great driver quality.I then bought some custom matching seats , new carpet and new door panels. also a new dash cap. It has new 16" custom wheels and new 225/50/16 Dunlap dizerra 2 tires. The tach was replaced with a V8 tach so it would read correct. The oil pressure gauge is not currently working I am working on getting the factory gauge to work with the V8. I will have a working gauge installed before I sell it.
