Unique 1978 Corvette Rare L82 I know this car cost a lot more this is a 1978 Silver 25 Anniversary Corvette that is extremely original. This is a very low 70.800k mile car that has all of its most original parts a rare L82 350ci 220hp engine automatic transmission car original color Charcoal Silver/Silver Metallic but I plastic dip the car to protect the original color. Its a car for restoration but it runs and drives Ok. The body and seats are good the 350 has been rebuilt and upgraded with a mild cam headers 4brl and hei msd distributor. Trans was rebuilt as well with a shift kit installed at the time... I installed side pipes which makes this car sounds like a beast , new brake rotors and pads also new single T-top , new carpets and original AC its intack but doesn't work I believe is an easy fix. The anterior it's been restored at certain degree the tires are in great shape. Also I have few parts that will come with the car needs to be installed. To get this car on the road again needs work on front headlights and doors power windows engine and a new brake lines left rear passenger side. I'm pretty firm at that price these anniversary cars are going from 12-20K when fix it I cannot keep up with this car because I'm moving. I'm not asking much for this car Good Luck...

I'm a car buff, but with an expensive 1 year old daughter, and less time to enjoy this 'Vette, it is looking for a good home. The battery is brand new, the transmission was replaced professionally 2 years ago, a new alternator was installed and the pop up headlights work great... All to say it is a well taken care of collectible. Is it in perfect shape? No, the paint is original (waxes nicely!), the rear view mirror is unglued, and I only have the driver's side T-top. But it has been garage kept under a custom cover, oil changed regularly despite few miles on it, and my mechanic has put his kids through school maintaining it. It is a wonderful and fun car. By 1978, the Chevrolet Corvette had already been in production for 25 years which is much longer than most models and once again the Corvette was honored to pace the famous Indy 500. Chevrolet took the opportunity to commemorate the Anniversary event with a spectacular Pace Car Edition. Since Chevrolet had 6,200 dealers at the time, the decision to build a special limited edition so that each showroom could have at least one. Today they have become quite sought after in the collector world with only 6,502 being produced. Indy-500 Pace cars featured Black/Metallic Silver two-tone paint which was first two-tone paint option offered by Corvette since 1961. Other features were the unique front and rear spoilers, polished aluminum Red-stripe wheels, mirror-tint roof panels and special “clam shell” contoured sport seats finished in Silver Leather.
