1979 Chevy Silverado Long Bed 4x4. Project truck. It has been non opted for over 6 years. Didn't use it anymore so we parked it. It was a 2 wheel drive diesel at one time. Has been converted to 4 x 4 in the 90's. Has a 3/4 ton frame under it. Motor is a 305 olds with a turbo 400 trans. New Process transfer case and I think it has a PTO on it but not used for anything. Has a dent in the drivers door but should be able to repaired. has rust on the roof. It was running and everything worked except fuel tank transfer switch (has duel tanks) when it was parked. I've had this truck since the 80's was taken care of until parked. Will not have any back fees or smog since it was non-opted. Was a good 4 x 4 to have fun with. . It does start with a jump. Selling my 1979 Chevy Suburban C20 Silverado Estate. I bought this truck last year from a Dealer in Arizona, where it was traded in by the original owner. The dealer used it for about 6 months moving 5th wheels on his lot before selling it to me. Since I have owned it, I have done extensive work on it. I had no plans on selling it, but recently bought a 1972 suburban that requires more work than I had expected. So selling this to pay for it. This is a C20, 2 wheel drive. The truck has original 160k miles. Both the engine and transmission work fine and full on power. It is equipped with tow package and has air lines for towing heavy trailers.All 4 door panels have been replace. The front are originally blue, paint cream. The back door panels are cream with cloth insert. When they were replaced, I greased all window tracks so they roll up and down with ease. There is not rotting or rust on the truck. It does have the usual surface rust. Quarter panels and door jams are rust free. All door open and close and lock correctly. The truck rides study and has no issues doing highway speeds. All Lights, and switches work. There is one dent on the driver side back panel near the tail light and shown in the picture. There is surface rust around the bottom part of windshield. It is surface rust only, I checked when I was replacing the dash. The truck is shown in the picture with alloy rims, these do NOT come with the truck. I have the factory rims and wheels which it will come with. The tires on the original rim are ok and can use replacing. If you want the rim and tires on it right now, it will be $500 over closing bid. The truck runs strong. I have driven it over mountains without any issue. I fixed it up with the intent to keep it a long time. No over hearing, does not burn oil, runs quite, other than the speedometer cable making noise at the moment. Brakes are strong and stops strong. This is my 1979 C30 1 ton Camper Special 9000 GVW single cab rig for sale. I'm the second owner. I bought it in 1986 with 23,000 miles on it. It has full power. Thats brakes being the hydroboost. Power windows. Power door locks and cruise control. That cruise does not work because of a broken blinker arm. It has the 454 engine and the th 400 auto trans. I rebuilt them both about 70,000 miles back because I was towing my 5th wheel and 22 ft boat during simmers. It has a sliding rear window with the cargo lite. It comes with the towing mirrors from the factory. The interior has been replaced about 15 years ago from Danchuck. Thats the seats, door panels, dash and the carpet. They could use a good vacuuming and cleaning. I never had a radio but I have the GM radio to fit it. The rear brakes and wheel cylinders were replaced about 6 months ago. The ac was rebuild and blows ice cold. Its still the R12 freon. I may include some R12 with the sale so the new owner can keep it the way it was designed. The right front fender shows a small dent that was there when I bought the truck. I never fixed it. Tilt steering works great as does everything else but the cruise control. All the glass if great. No issues with any of it I have a few spares to go with the sale. I have a Silverado dash bezel I was going to use but decided not to. Ended up not liking the Chrome. The wheels are factory chrome and they do have light rust on them. I have cleaned them many times but I will let them show what they are like now. I do have some factory wheel locks. It has a dual fuel tank and each one is 20 gallons with factory installed locking gas caps. This is not a beater truck nor has it ever seen the rust belt. It has its dings but no rust belt holes anywhere like you see so often from those areas. I have the original Quadrajet 4 barrel off the truck to run a differnt 4 barrel. It also is a Quadrajet 4 barrel. Its licensed till April 2015 and the cost here in cali is $169.00 for the year. I have always past smog checks easily too. This engine was designed without a EGR valve in the intake manifold because it was an exempt engine from the factory. The 9000 lbs GVW was to avoid smog and carry a camper. It has a towing package accessory from the factory too. I used a Tekonsha prodigy brake controller but its in my other tow rig and wont be part of this sale. The bed has the RBW slides but they will stay. The 5th wheel hitch is not included. I have a new never used tail gate also. The person I bought the rig from had a camper on this rig and the camper tie downs are going with the sale. This is a really nice truck that could be restored easily and used as a show piece. I'm sure I left out some things but if I recall any O will add them.

Has a Kenwood AM/FM CD Stereo with two amplifiers and 5 speakers. All steering, brakes and suspension components have been replace and or upgraded. 12 Bolt with 3.73 gears and Eaton Posi Unit with all new gears and bearings. Has upgraded Axles as well. Tremec TKO-600 5-Speed Manual Trans with overdrive and Hurst Shifter. 548 Cubic Inch Big Block Engine with Mark III Merlin Block and Dart Iron Eagle Ported heads. Has steel crank and rods and is a 9.75 to 1 compression ratio so it is very streetable and uses pump gas. Complete roller valve train which is all made by Comp Cams. This engine is close to 700 horsepower and really runs strong and is a pleasure to drive with the manual transmission. Centerline Billet Aluminum Wheels 15x10 in the rear and 15x8.5 in the front.
