I am selling my 1985 Buick Riviera. I am the second owner of this car. I bought the car in 2003 from the original owner. The car had about 130K miles when I bought it.I have kept this car in a garage the entire time I have owned it. The original owner did too. I had the car painted a number of years back and the paint is in near excellent condition. The interior is clean and has only a few worn spots but is amazing and well cared for. There is wear to the seat bolster on the driver's side but there are no holes or tears.The car has nearly all options that were offered. Electric windows, seats, trunk release, rear window defogger, reclining front seats and updated Pioneer stereo with CD player. The A/C and heater work excellently as do all the options. The car has a nearly new set of quality Firestone tires. All maintenance has been performed by me and many of the engine components (water pump, power steering pump, AC compressor, etc.) have always been replaced by me at the slightest sign of trouble. I have always used AC Delco parts right down to the battery. I am a member of The Buick Club of America and have shown the car in various shows.I have 4 Buicks and I am selling this one to make room for another car I recently purchased. Unfortunately something has to go. The upper edge rubber molding of the driver's door needs replacing. It is functional but would look better if it was replaced. This molding piece is reproduced by Steele Rubber Products. The chrome on bumpers is in good condition but not excellent. There are NO large rust spots but some minor pinpoint spots typical on older chrome. One of the problem areas on these cars was the vinyl body filler between the body and the bumpers. Those have all been replaced by me with the upgraded fiberglass replacements. They were installed and painted when the car was repainted and thus the color and finish matched perfectly.Please contact me with ANY questions.Thanks for looking.

This one has the kind of features and rarity that will make it a survivor hit at any car show. After all, these were almost like owning a custom car backed by a factory warranty. Few people were willing to pay nearly double the Riviera coupe price that it took to pluck a car off the assembly line and let the professionals at ASC do their droptop magic. That's why this special Buick has been cared for so well and the sheetmetal has stayed laser straight. You can see this in the trim running down the sides and the pinstripe that perfectly highlights the gentle curves of the 6th generation Riviera. Even the details are still right. The chrome is bright and shiny, the rubber bumper fillers are in excellent condition, and all the emblems and lenses are beautifully clear. It even still wears its more aggressive T-type hubcaps reserved for these rare turbo models. These were top of the line Buicks that reached into Cadillac territory, and so burgundy leather came standard inside. The full package still looks amazing, which tells you this was not left with its top off too long on sunny days (and the white top even looks brand new.) The handsome bucket seats strike a nice balance between armchair comfortable and individual support. The burled walnut veneer is some of the most handsome trim for any car in the 80s, and as expected with such an expensive convertible, it came loaded. This includes power windows, power convertible top, power locks, cruise control, and climate control so you can stay cool even with the roof down on a summer day. But there's something else you might have noticed. This one has a full set of auxiliary gauges, including a boost gauge...and that's for a very good reason. Under the hood is the same turbocharged and fuel injected 3.8-liter V6 that was made famous in the Buick Regal T-Type. This motor gave the Riviera one of the most admired 0 to 60 times in the luxury class and made it a bit of a secret rocket ship. Still, this Buick does not betray its luxury nature with its grand touring suspension and four-speed overdrive automatic transmission. This is the kind of classic that you're not intimidated to take on the long trips thanks to power steering, front disc brakes, and even ABS. Up for auction is a very nice American classic. An 85 Buick Riviera Luxury coupe. Starts runs and rides great. This is the loaded option, Power windows, seats and door locks, plus cruise and A/C. A/C holds a charge so it don't leak but does not blow cold so it will need converted and charged. Windows and both seats work. Door locks works sometimes. Interior is beautiful besides 3 straight cracks on the top of the dash. Battery is newer and holds a good charge, Tires only have about 2,000 miles on them. Brakes are newer. Exhaust is quiet. All lights turn signals and horn work. Radio works, but shorts out once in a while. Rides down the road straight and doesn't pull to either side while breaking. The vinyl top has come loose in the middle on top from the chrome strip and has various stress cracks from the sun. I've tried to give you all the info needed, but just ask if ive missed something. Yes, I drive it a few times a week so the mileage may be higher. It definitely is road worthy to drive across the states to where ever you may need to take it. This is a no reserve auction, im setting the starting price at the least I'm willing to part with it because for some reason I cannot figure how to set a reserve on it. So happy bidding. I require a $200 non refundable deposit through paypal, and the remainder in cash at time of pick up. I WILL NOT SHIP!!!.
