I have a 87 CRX I am not sure which model it is . So I can not tell you if it's a HF , SI , or DX. I bought it out of a field where it had been sitting for years when I bought it in 2010 hence why it does not have many miles on it . So I went to fixing it up and making it roadworthy . I replaced all the brakes , wheel cylinders, calipers, tires , timing belt , water pump and plugs. I regularly got 47 mpg and sometimes it would hit 52 mpg. All the miles I put on it are highway miles as my job was 114 miles round trip daily. Plus whatever errands I ran. When you turn loose of the steering wheel it runs true and straight. The engine and 5 speed trans and clutch are all STRONG. As you can see the body is straight , as far as the marker light I do have it but I can not get it back in place , it was missing when I bought it . The car does not leak or use oil . I always kept it checked and NEVER let it get less than 1/2 a quart low. I am open to reasonable offers Call if you have any questions 8l2.493.six25six. I can not answer text. 1987 Honda Prelude, 2nd gen, 2.0 Si, manual transmission, ac, pw, pb,and ps. This is a project car, it does not run. Body has rust, interior is good (driver's seat has a tear). It needs a new head, timing belt is fine, but should be replaced with the head. Engine is partially dissembled, includes all of the parts and new engine seal/head kit ($100 value). This does not include a new head, that is the buyer's responsibility. A decent, reconditioned head will run about $300. This was a fun car to drive with the manual transmission, it had handling and power, but great on fuel. Get it running and enjoy or go full out restoration on a classic car. Over the past four years we have put in many new parts, including: exhaust from the manifold back; new clutch and flywheel; new breaks, rotors, upper ball joints and drive axle; new radiator and battery; replaced the rear bumper frame (old one was rusted); and replaced two tires. Also included is the original radio, and a decent headlight housing/cover. Asking $1750, but no reasonable offer will be refused. Local pickup only, I will not ship. Bring a trailer or tow dolly and I will assist any way I can to load it up. Thanks for looking.

Here we present to you a very nice CRX HF from 1987. It will be very difficult to find one of these cars with lower original miles on it and in better condition.The paint on this car shines beautifully, and there is virtually no rust on the body. This is a car for a true CRX enthusiast who is looking for a non-modified well preserved example of a 1G CRX. We have put many hours of work into refurbishing this car after being in storage for many years. Some (but not all) of the things which have been done on the car are- carburetor rebuilt (parts and labor $650+)- timing belt and water pump replaced- rear brakes replaced- recent fresh exhaust system (correct OEM equivalent spec, not a boy racer 'fart can')- fuel tank drained and cleaned with fresh gas ($200)- vacuum hoses checked and replaced where necessary- coolant system drained, flushed and refilled. ($150)- relays replaced and cooling fans checked ($130)- recently replaced and balanced tires ($350)- minor dings and scratches on car repaired and given complete repaint with high quality 2-stage automotive paint at a cost of more than $3,000 (only the major silver color, not the dark gray plastics)- cracked headlight and front corner lights replaced ($250)- thorough cleaning and detailing inside and outside of car ($300+) Some issues which still could be done to the car to make it really perfect are- repaint bottom plastic panels (bumpers, door panels and rocker panels) [we can do this for a buyer upon separate agreement]- upholstery repair for the usual driver's seat bolster wear (see photos)- air conditioning service (all A/C parts are present, however it has not been tested or charged) As the car sits presently, it starts and drives fine, and could be driven away if purchased. This is no easy task, as Honda does not support their cars after they have reached this age and virtually no NOS parts are available for the CRX at this point in time. Therefore, we have gone to great lengths to search out, find, and horde as many NOS and good condition used parts for these cars as possible, and also we have developed specific techniques to restore and refurbish parts of the cars (such as the plastic body panels and rubber moldings) that are simply not available anymore. 1987 Honda Prelude 2.0 Si

For sale is a 1987 Honda Prelude 2.0 Si. I am going to start off by saying this car runs and drives good (with the exception of a rough idle at times) and has never died on me to the point where I was stranded and couldn't get it started again. It is a great island beater and I had been driving it from November of 2011 up until about August of 2013. A few minor issues (which I will talk about further down the post) and laziness on my part caused the safety and registration to expire, which is why I no longer drive it every day. However, I do take it out for a drive every weekend to make sure it stays in good running condition. It has just under 111,000 miles on the odometer. The only reason I am selling is because my wife and I are having a baby very soon and I needed to upgrade to an SUV. Even though I would love to continue to drive this car, I sadly cannot. It has power windows and sunroof. I bought new tires about a year and a half to two years ago and tread life is at 70% or better. Within the last year, I have replaced: - The front rotors and brake pads - The high-pressure power steering hose - The low-pressure power steering hoses leading into and out of the power steering reservoir - Spark plugs and wires - Distributor cap and rotor I also have the brake pads for the rear brakes (never got around to replacing them) Those minor issues I was talking about above are: - Loud exhaust caused by a hole/holes in the exhaust line somewhere (reason #1 they wouldn't pass me for safety) I had bought some tiger tape to wrap around the holes but never got around to that either. - Faulty brake lights (never figured out what the issue was here, maybe electrical? but this is reason #2 they wouldn't pass the safety check) - Water leaks into trunk - A/C doesn't work (it didn't work when I bought it, I just never took it in to get it fixed because I drive with the windows down anyway) If you are interested, after everything I just explained, give me a call or send me a text and we can arrange a time for you to come look at the car. I am asking $1500, cash only. Again, I would love to keep this car and get current safety and registration on it because it is very fun to drive, I just don't have the time or the space to keep it.
