Power seats, windows, locks (rear passenger seat window 50 /50 works / doesn't work). Engine & Drive Train: 146,577 miles Plus V8 5.0 Runs great Smooth ride. Transmission rebuilt a year ago. New Pressure hose put on AC just need coolant vacuum in. Air Bags were put in rear coil springs for heavy loads. Cruise control works. New Radiator installed year ago. This Mercury has been owned by my mother since May 1988. She is the second owner. She purchased the car after her husband passed away. She is now 95 and has decided it is time to let the car go. It has 37774 original miles on it. In the last few years it has really not been used at all. It was just driven enough to keep everything working properly. While she owned the car it was never driven during the winter. As soon as fall arrived the car was put away and she dove her pickup. The interior of the car is in like new condition right down to the original floormats. For a vehicle of that year the exterior is in very nice condition with the exceptions as noted above. The car has absolutely no rust. It has no oil leaks or drips. Everything on the car works. The A/C compressor was replaced and it was retrofitted to R134A and recharged. This was a top-of-the-line Mercury Grand Marquis LS with all the bells and whistles and a very luxurious interior.

The engine runs very rough at idle but runs pretty smooth once you start driving. It needs a major tune-up and fluid change but it always starts up when you turn the key. Remember this has the 5.0 engine so it’s easy to work on and parts are plentiful. Looks very retro like wagons from the 60s Country Squires and Colony Parks but has all the modern technology for a dependable cruiser. One repaint looks very nice. Some rust and rust bubbles popping up here and there but nothing major. The woodgrain stickers on the side still look pretty good but are worn in spots have come off in a few also. The interior is amazing for the mileage of the wagon, dash looks great, the leather seats looks amazing and are very comfortable. Door panels and headliner look great too. Carpet is original and is worn in a few spots but still looks nice. The wagon has passed MA inspection in 2013 but has not been to inspection this year. The wagon is older than 25 years it is eligible for classic car insurance and QQ classic license plates in NJ which means no inspection and can cost less than $200 per year to insure with zero deductible.
