1989 Chevrolet Corvette C4 RoadsterCar is in very good condition & is a daily driver. I purchased the car from the original owner's estate, and the car was garaged since new. Car will come with a protective car cover. This car runs & drives & shows very well, and appears to have been very well maintained. Paint is original & is in good condition with a few minor scratches & chips. Hood has an approximately 1" spider crack (shown in picture #24) and rear bumper has a minor paint crack/scrape towards the middle on the right side (see picture #23). Top is in good condition, works smoothly, folds down & away in less than 30 seconds. Everything works on the car except the rear up & down switches on the power seats & one of the 3 available, rear hatch release switches, (it has 2 others plus an emergency release cable to do this) located on the bottom of the drivers door. Engine runs great. 4 speed automatic shifts well. Brakes are in great condition. Drive this car anywhere. Current CA registration in my name & current smog inspection. Engine and automatic transmission just replaced in April 2015 with low mileage set, receipts available. Newer paint job, racing stripes and black rear spoiler. Pioneer CD player and newer set of speakers. Muffler delete kit installed, sounds great. New aftermarket rims, B-pillar weather strip, battery, window sweeps, shocks, hatch struts, armrest pad, rear wheel spacers, billet shifter handle, alternator and brake master cylinder in the past 3.5 years. Replaced the fuel pump and strainer. Removable Targa top, front tires have plenty of tread, rear tires will need to be replaced soon. Aftermarket deep dish racing steering wheel, can be switched out with any other 6 bolt style universal steering wheel. Newer vinyl seats are in good condition. Fuel gauge is slightly off, (2-3 bars is empty). Cruise control, power antenna, horn, A/C and Heat not working at this time, could use new interior carpet, window seals drip a little in heavy rain. There is a check engine light on, I think it's the EGR valve/sensor. The buyer will need to pick it up/drive it home, no shipping offered. Sold as is. Original owner. Ordered new using GM dealer, option RPO B2K (which stands for twin turbo and is also seen in middle if VIN) on dealer order manifest. Car made per my specification at Bowling Green Corvette plant and drop shipped to Callaway Engineering in Old Lyme CT. Car #12 for 1989. Car #5 featured on cover of Car and Driver magazine. 66,300 miles. Never driven on track, no accidents. Car in excellent condition. Recently had oil change and inspected at local GM dealer. New Kicker Amplifier and subwoofer, 4 Diamond Audio Speakers. New radiator. All new gaskets around top including bow gasket and doors. New headlight motors. New clutch. New single mass flywheel (converted from dual mass). Bosh injectors compatible with fuel containing ethanol. New Goodyear Z rated F1 tires. Convertible top excellent, had it replaced years ago. All new interior carpeting. New shifter knob and reverse lockout. Electronic climate control works perfectly. No leaks. New IAC valve so idle is perfect. Running condition excellent. No oil use. Under full acceleration the clutch grips and rips better than it ever did. This is a quiet car, not noisy. You can hear the turbots whistle especially with the top down. 382 HP, 562 lbs./ft. torque at 2400 rpm. Top speed 185 mph. Pulls over 1 G in lateral acceleration. Excellent brakes with ceramic pads. No fade. Everything works like new. Forget about mileage because it's how it was maintained. Cars that sit around do not get maintained. Old tires are a safety hazard. They can blow out at high speed if they are cracked. Mine are brand new. I had to wait because they were on backorder from Goodyear for almost a year. I have 5 wheels and tires. All mounted and balanced. Plus a compact spare under the rear. Never driven in winter, or rain. Car has not been used much in last 10 years, but taken serious care of. Waxed it over 100 times by hand. Paint is perfect. Soft to the touch. Beautiful lustrous red. Perfect black leather interior. Driver seat has been set to the highest position but can be adjusted in all other ways electrically, and reclined. This is due to the problem Corvette seats have with chucking after a few years. So seat is tight and does not move up or down. Leather is perfect. Steering wheel is new and I have another new one as a spare in case it gets scratched or dirty.
