Said to run, shift, brake, steer and handle very well, the car presents very nicely and comes with comprehensive service history including all original manuals, handbooks, brochures as well as factory spare, jack and tool/first aid kits.Glossy black paint is claimed to remain 100% factory applied and contrasts nicely with the gray lower beltline portions including bumpers and rocker trim. Chrome, stainless, plastics and rubber are well-preserved as well, and mirrors show none of the fade commonly associated with neglected examples. We particularly like the clean chrome window surrounds and the tidy trunk with factory spare and tool kit.inside, gray leather, carpets and door/dash trim is all holding up well with no staining, tears, sun shrinking or discoloration. It features the legendary v8 and rugged Mercedez reliability. The SL Mercedez in arguably one of the finest cars ever made. From its inception in the 50's to today these cars have filled a niche at the top of the Mercedez line that will endure forever. They handle well, ride comfortably, and perform exceptionally well. These are cars that can go 100 MPH all day long! The third series model ran from 1973 to 1989 and are now starting to gain the attention of collectors. They exhibit the classic lines of the earlier cars while having a lot of very nice features that make them a lot more drivable. These cars are good for hundreds of thousands of miles and don't let those nay sayers fool you- sure parts aren't cheap but they rarely ever break! Ihave always been an Italian Car Collector and sort of poopooed the teutonic German Marques such as Mercedez and BMW, but my 3.0cs changed my mind about Bimmers and my SL is quite simply the best car I have ever had. (I have had a lot of cars) . The 560 SL is the tank roadster to buy as all of the bugs were worked out by this time in the development of the model and they are great performers. There appears to be no rust on this car and the interior is tear free and will clean up nicely. The car has both tops. Now is the time to buy one of these!
