1990 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT 5 Speed in Oxford White. I have owned this vehicle for 2 years. I had the motor rebuilt this past winter. The car still has the factory Crank,Rods and Pistons. Everything is std size, the motor has never been bored. Miles on the Odometer are 33,000. I have driven the car around 3,000 miles since the rebuild. The hood on this is fiberglass and a local body shop painted it and the paint cracked off. so the hood will need to be resprayed. My loss is your gain. I love this car but college is calling so she has to go. From what I could tell I am the 3rd owner and I have had her for 2 1/2 years now. The second owner installed a new convertible top, new cobra style wheels and tires, short throw shifter, suspension and cold air intake tube. He has his own tire and suspension shop, no sag in this car at all. Since I have owned it I have installed new quarter window motors, alternator, battery, water pump, thermostat, cat back flow master exhaust, added a armrest and MSD Pro Billet Distributer which really woke the motor up. She doesn't blow any smoke and is fast. Might have 3.55 gears in the rear but unsure. The true mileage is unknown, according to the last owner he believes there was a cluster replacement done prior to his purchasing it. He had it on dealer plates so never had it registered until I purchased it. I had no idea about the mileage until the title came back to me. This car has been used in the NYC Veterans Day Parade on VIP duty in 2014. If it sells for the buy it now price I have the original turbine wheels and a used Edlebrock Performer upper and lower intake that will be included in the sale. Here is a 1990 25th Anniversary Mustang GT 5 speed. Car spent most of its life in the south. Engine has a Ford Racing cam and a mild build with only about 60k with a very nice aggressive lopey idle. Absolutely no smoking, ticking or irregular noises at all, engine is very strong and runs flawlessly. Transmission still drives fine and will take you anywhere but does need 2-4 gear sychros. If you are easy on it sometimes it doesn't even make a noise going into gear...maybe its just low on fluid? Never checked. Does not pop out of gear at all....transmission is solid other than a couple noisy synchros, very common with T5's. Car is very fast and fun, has BBK cold air intake, Bassani stainless steel X-pipe with no converters, Flowmaster exhaust, Ford Racing aluminum driveshaft, Fiberglass bolt on hood by American Sports car Design, Pioneer cd player and all Pioneer speakers. Body could use paint but still turns heads, shock towers are perfect, undercarriage is extremely clean both of which are hard to find on a Foxbody. Has the desirable black interior in great shape, dash is near mint, will clean up even better but I simply don't have the time. Exterior photos are of a dusty car, I apologize but again time is an issue I work a lot. Yes drivers seat has seen better days! All power options are functional. Car has tons of potential and a very strong engine but please be realistic, it is 25 years old and does have signs of normal useage. It's not a show car....yet! Great starter with a mean sounding engine, just put your finishing touches away. My price reflects the upgrades, solid body and black interior. Please don't expect me to give it away, I know exactly what its worth in parts alone. I am very flexible, delivery is available within a reasonable distance as long as the car is paid in full and we discuss arrangements first. I will only charge for fuel and a small portion above that depending on distance. Yes you can drive it home without a problem, tires aren't the greatest but they all hold air. Car will drive all day, no worries. I can hold the car for you for as long as you need if you need to make arrangements to pick it up, you don't have to rush. Up for sale is a 1990 Ford Mustang GT. This car in in good shape. I has been converted to carbureted. The whole engine was rebuilt from the ground up. Its bored .30 over new pistons rings, bearings. Trickflow stage 1 cam, Weind stealth dual plane intake, 1" carb spacer, cool carb plate, and a Quickfuel slayer series 600 cfm carb. all components on the engine are new the starter, power steering pump, water pump, bbk aluminum under drive pulleys, 200amp power master alternator. the whole engine is new. The engine and all the components have about 2500 miles on them. The fuel system is all new, Holley red pump, 2/8 fuel line, to 6an steel braided line, Holley regulator auto meter fuel pressure gauge. It has a new clutch, and fly wheel, with the stock T5 transmission a transmission shop said it was in great shape. The rear end is an 8.8 all rebuilt with 3.55 gears posi. The rims are black 03-04 Cobra wheels with new tires which also have about 2500 miles on them. The interior has a all black 93 cobra dash, red front and rear seats, New black carpet in the car and trunk. Power windows work but locks do not needs a electric lock mechanism in one of the doors. It has a Cervini 4in. cowl hood. which needs paint. It has one piece headlights and cobra grill with the house emblem powder coated black. The only thing the car really needs is some paint. Its not terrible the way it looks now but It has a few spots of surface rust nothing major or serious sanding it will get rid of it. This is a 1990 Mustang that WAS a 4 cylinder car that was professionally done and into a COBRA / SALEEN / SVT / THUNDERBIRD SUPER COUPE Car. This was NOT done by some Kid that was a dreamer of mustangs a then discovers Girls, does everything half ass and looses interest... This was done by a Real Ford Guy. Who really loves Ford Mustangs and Thunderbird Super Coupe 1989 to 1995 style and wanted to make a swap of Drivetrain that was rare and different. So many engine swaps have been to this type of car its gotten boring…….. Wow about this for a change ???!!! And plus 100% RELIABLE ???!!!! Well here it is !!! For starters see below….. --ENGINE--came out of a low mileage Thunderbird SuperCoupe about 40.000 the cylinder heads were done just to be on the safe side and has crane roller rockers installed 1.7s. all new gaskets, new sensors, and new lower engine bearings, the engine has no were on it and is intended to be a keeper. Other then that the motor has no other mods to it. Stock wire harness all hooked up and running fine. No Hokey Jokey hook ups. Done right! --TRANSMISSION-- is out of a 2003 mustang V6 that was not beat, had low miles on it and was a perfect choice for this swap bell housing and all, clutch, throw bearing, flywheel, clutch cable and speedo are stock 5.0 stuff. The clutch quadrant is a Steeda set not the stock plastic. Aluminum drive shaft out of a 1993 Steeda. --REAR AXEL-- is out of a 1995 Mustang GT "SN95" with new Ford 3.27 gears, seals, bearings and posi track. it has the 1993 Cobra parking brake cables hooked up and working. New rear shocks and quad shocks. New lower control arms, uppers are stock. rear springs are out of 1985 GT. "NOTE" Rear tires do slightly rub outer fender well but nothing drastic just note that. If you have pony rims and tires no rub. This is because the SN95 axel is wider. Not a problem just making note of it. --BRAKES-- Front stock 1993 GT, Rear stock 1995 GT ''SN95'' --EXHAUST-- From the engine to the tips is -V6 Ford Headers from a 2003 Mustang, backed by 2 empty cats to 2-1/2 Cherry Bomb Resonators to Thrush Hush Mufflers,We had so many exhaust combos for this swap it was nuts. This one came out the best ! --GAUGES-- all gauges are hooked up and working. Gas, temp, Volts, Oil, Even the Check engine light is hooked up too and NO! Its not on. It has no faults in system . The tach needs to be calibrated and the speedo is correct from what I can tell, it does bounce at slow speeds sometimes, not all the time, --AIR CONDITIONING-- The wiring is hooked up to it, one low side line is hooked up to condenser to evaporator . Compressor is missing its clutch. So to finish it, Compressor lines need to be custom made to finish pluming a new compressor, Fill it with 134A and off you go. --BODY-- has only 71.000 on it never been beat original owner was a Girl. Them me, and my Wife. Body is mint !!! The roof has some small dents it it from hail rust so on the body shop did the best they could, but the car is black and it showed. The rest of the car came out so well She is Beautiful and it shows please see pics ! New headlamps. New Taillamps 85/86 style. New lower window body molding both sides. New top roof drip rail moldings. New wipers a year ago. All glass is in nice shape. Door jam molding seals are O.K. THIS HAS THE 1990 SALEEN BODY GROUND EFFECT KIT ON IT ! This tricks a lot of the 5.0 people out there and is fun when that happens, thinking its Cobra ground effects... Stock LX rear wing. FRAME CONNECTORS BOLTED IN . --WHEELS-- 1993 Mustang Cobra New ! --TIRES-- Continental 255/40/17 tire were is about at half all around. And just had the car aligned. --STEERING-- It has the stock 4 cyl Rack in it. So the steering is very sharp with the larger tires. --INTERIOR--Has the 1994 Thunderbird Super Coupe front seats and steering wheel. The seats are power on both sides and work great ! The shifter knob is also from a SC and is new ! Has new headliner. Has the stock cassette player and phone ! I left that for time period looks and gets the WOWs at car shows and a nice converse pice to talk about. This car was done with Love and care and we have had it for over has 10 years! I DONT really know the Horse Power … Maybe 290 or 300 ??? All i can say it Moves !!! very fast gets out of the Hole and is Geared right ! Puts a smile on your face as you climb her through the gears. Reason for selling, I have so many cars and this one has been sitting in my garage for some time and I am making room for the next one. It hurts me to sell it plus being --100% RELIABLE --with no weird crap, I have a on/off switch for the cooing fan it is tapped into the temp sensor harness and when switched it cuts it out tricking the fan to go on. "Note" that the check engine light goes on when doing so because it sees no temp sensor signal…. Other then that its all Thunderbird Ford Stock and blows the DieHard Ford boys away !!! So I am not DESPERATE….. IF IT SELLS…..??? Fine… If not ??? Fine …… If you know Fords and Fox body mustangs and you want something cool, different, this is for you! PLEASE DONT BUY THIS CAR IF THIS IS GOING TO BE YOUR FIRST MUSTANG !!!!! This is not for you !!! Had some questions that were "in-box" to me that I will answer for everyone. (1) -Q- how does it handle? -A- It takes the twists on back roads like on rails! (2) -Q- how is the steering rack being sensitive with 4 cyl rack? -A- its not bad. I like it ! Its my preference. Change it if you want. (3) -Q- can you hook up the old Phone still ???-A- No! (4)-Q- What front springs are in the car ? And does it bottom out ?-A- Stock 4 cyl springs that are perfect, dropped the car 1 and a 1/2 inch. Struts were replaced years ago and no problems. No she does not bottom out. Only the slight tire rub on outer fender well with 93 Cobra rims, again nothing crazy. (5)-Q- What is the reserve price ? What are you looking to get for the car ?-A- I was looking to get $8700.00 I was just seeing what would happen. I have the price set at $7900.00 with a best offer. Up for sale is my baby. I have owned and loved this Fox body Stang for the last three years. She has been garage kept since I've had her and she was part of a collection before she came to me. I tracked down the original pony wheels for her, however she had the alternative aluminum wheels on when I bought her... BUYER GETS BOTH SETS OF WHEELS WITH RUBBER! She has 62000 original miles and is clean inside and out. I had everything redone except for the upholstery which was next on my agenda. WAS being the keyword! My wife and I are buying a new house and alas there is no room for "The Strawberry Roan". My loss is your gain. Good luck finding one with less milage, a better interior, and as mechanically sound. She is a tank. Since she is twenty-five, she has a couple of problems. 1. Her rubber leaks in two places in the carwash, one right in the center of the windshield, and one to the rear of the passenger door. (This is only in the carwash, I've never known either to leak in the rain.) 2. She has some rust zits on the rear driver side wheel well. I just noticed these yesterday. That's it, there is a Metallica CD in the radio. Imagine the deep rumble of Strawberry's engine as James Hetfield screams out Unforgiven and you glide down the interstate in one of the most absolutely coolest cars of all time. I'm asking $8,000, but no reasonable offer will be refused. This would be a great starter car for a responsible kid or a nice start to doing cruise-ins and car shows. This is solid inside and out. Runs and drives great. Like any car this age, there are a few minor issues. First, the driver's side window has not rolled down in a few months. I suspect a bad switch is to blame. Second, I noticed the a/c was not as cold this past summer. The compressor turns on, but it does not cycle cool as it once did. This will need repair. The check engine light comes on from time-to-time, but I have not noticed this lately. The fuel gauge is inaccurate sometimes I drive this car on the weekends to keep it running smooth and that is when I have noticed these imperfections. The odometer reads 67,870. I am not sure if this is the actually mileage. To my knowledge, I am the 2nd owner of the car and have never had any problems other than minor repairs/maintenance. The car is located in Louisiana.
