1990 Lincoln Town Car Personal Limousine-ever see one? This is an extended Town Car that has only one bench seat in the rear, and cabinetry in the front that houses the ATV, VCR, Bar, and pull down tables. Has a divider window and a phone system between front and rear compartments. I bought the car in Washington, DC a number of years ago. It had damage to the left front fender only-I replaced it with another but it has not been painted. The car runs great, but some of the body work from the original lengthening is beginning to crack, as is one of the outside roof running lights. There is a small dent on the right quarter panel, but an easy fix. The left rear door window doesn't work but I did just get the assy. The title is clear in my name from Mass. There is no warranty or guarantee on this car as I am not a dealer. No returns-ask questions and come and look at it. $500. deposit by PayPal. The balance is due via a Postal Money Order-do not pay in full via PayPal.

I have a 1990  Silver Lincoln Town Car for sale, just bought another, and can not keep both. The Car has 130,000 miles on it. I am the second owner. Car was used for shopping, and short runs to the store, and to see family.  Never been out of state. It's had it's oil changes, and lubs, ever since coming off the Ford line, every 3,000 miles. That's my number for oil changes, and lub. " Car runs excellent. " New Parts: Tires, and a new alternator,"  not rebuilt."  Problem's: Front window's, are no longer child proof. Had gear changed in both front doors. Back windows, need a gear change ( small metal nut, instead of plastic, which makes window's, no longer child safe.) paint is pealing because of the Sun, need's to be covered.  Some material on inside roof lose, and problem with heat, but brought a new portable heat system, that work's great, other then this, car is in great shape, and run's  excellent. I had this 1990. I had about 30000 miles on it and I drove it very little. Most years it was parked in my garage and I only took it out for cleaning and oil change. Maybe around the block. This is a very unique car, because it is not a chop-top Town Coupe. In a way it is, but it was send out by the factory to have to conversion done. There were only 24 like that and they are titled as convertibles and not like Town Coupes, like my 1978 Lincoln Convertible. I have 14 cars and mostly are classics. I kept the 1978 and I gave this 1979 to my wife and she did not drive it at all. She told me to sell it, because she feels bad about not driving it. I am 76 years old and too many toys. I am thinking about selling my Lincoln too and most of my other classic cars. Everything on this car is perfect, but it is not show-quality. It is a nice daily fair weather driver and get's more compliment then any other car I ever owned or drove.

For your consideration I am offering for sale my 1958 Mercury Park Lane “Phaeton” four door hardtop sedan. The car has been driven only 29,000 miles from new and has been completely mechanically refurbished and fully detailed for show. This past fall the car garnered an HPOF designation (preservation of original features) from AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America). The car has been treated to conservation rather than restoration when at all possible. No expense was spared regarding work completed as I built the car to keep long term and all work has been correctly executed. This is the best driving and most reliable collector car I have ever owned. I would not hesitate to drive the car any distance. Unfortunately other projects demand my attention. The car always generates a crowd wherever it is driven, the tail-lights, the radical compound curve of the rear window, the front fender “jets” all inspire comment. The car is the epitome of ‘50s excess. Short of a ’58 Buick, there are few cars that offer as much flash. There are over 64 linear feet of chrome on each side of the car! All in very fine condition. This particular Park Lane originally hails from Wyoming and was assembled March 6, 1958 at the Wayne, MI assembly plant. The colors are Marble White and Emerald Green Metallic and the car features power windows, power seat, Town & Country radio, electric antenna, and deluxe heating and defrost. The engine is the Lincoln 430 with push button Dual-Range Multi-Drive automatic transmission and 2:91 axle ratio. This car is 100% rust free and was heavily undercoated from new. Everything on the car is in fully functional condition right down to the clock. The one possible exception is the original radio which I have never tested due to having an alternate music source. Drivetrain: The drivetrain was fully serviced and refurbished in 2009. The transmission was fully rebuilt using all new parts. I performed what is commonly refereed to as a “short-block” overhaul removing everything from the engine compartment down to the block during which a full gasket set was installed upon re-build. One look inside the engine confirmed a true 29,000 miles looking as clean as the day it was first assembled. Every nut, bolt, wire, and component were meticulously documented before cleaning and reconditioning. The upper block did require re-paint which was custom color matched to the original gold paint. In the effort to conserve originality, the valve covers, fan, and air cleaner were left in their original finish. The frame, front suspension, and inner fenders were cleaned to bare metal and re-sprayed using Eastwood epoxy paint products. The radiator core is original and I straightened all of the fins before cleaning and paint. The engine block even retains the original cardboard foundry tag. All wiring is in an amazing state of preservation. A new thermostat was installed and internal thermostats were re-moved per advice of Lincoln 430 experts. Car has only ever run warm during a two-hour parade in which turning on the heater immediately remedied the situation. Rebuilt were the water pump, fuel pump, starter, generator, motor mounts and transmission mount. The distributer was overhauled with NOS vacuum advance, new plug wires and coil. Battery is the only component not factory correct and dates to 2009. Always trickle charged the battery still starts strong. New mufflers, and dual exhaust with jacketed pipes up front, as original, were installed as well. Chassis: Refurbishing included all new brake cylinders, master cylinder, brake booster rebuild, new shoes and hoses, and replacement of power steering hoses. Also rebuilt were the power steering cylinder and replaced were the lower control arm bushings, front coil springs, and ball joints. When the car was purchased it came with incorrect wheels. The original 14” rims are very difficult to come by and the set currently on the car, while very serviceable, are not perfect. I have since found a set of exceedingly nice low mileage rims that I will include in the sale. Five new bias-ply tires were installed 6/09 and have about 800 miles on them. Wheel-covers are exclusive to the Turnpike Cruiser and Park Lane and have been fully restored using NOS center medallions. Interior: Once I started driving the car the original seat fabric began to fail and it was clear that the foam was significantly deteriorated. Because I had access to a talented upholsterer, and NOS fabric, I went ahead and replaced the fabric inserts and seat foam throughout. This had the added benefit of introducing fresh bright fabric with sparkling mylar threads. In contrast, the original mylar had darkened over time. The factory carpet, door panels, headliner, and dash pad remain in excellent condition. The dash pad does have a few very minor corner cracks but has survived much better than most without any of the typical collapse. The car features a brand new under-dash Kenwood stereo featuring AM/FM CD Ipod hookup and is Pandora ready. This was installed without damaging the integrity of the car. The system sounds really great. My preference is to play “The Platters” for that full tilt ‘50s time warp effect! The trunk suffered from a leaking deck lid seal which I have replaced. This new seal does make the trunk a little difficult to shut but I imagine that will ease up over time. I fully believe the seal leaked from new and over the years minor water infiltration did cause some pitting in the trunk floor. The floor has been cleaned to bare metal and sealed with epoxy paint and insulated with Dynamat front to back. I purchased the correct Burtex mat and painstakingly reproduced the trunk liner panels. Body and trim: The right front passenger door glass is cracked. All other glass is in excellent condition with almost no delamination and there are no substantial rock chips in the windshield. The paint is believed to be mostly original. Multiple areas appear to have been re-sprayed to remedy thin paint. The top of the deck lid and hood have some small bubbling issues but there is no rust involved. There are several spots on the fenders and hood where the paint is worn thin. Of course there are minor chips and scratches here and there and rock chips on the front of the hood. Any time I have mentioned re-painting the car people have unanimously told me to leave the paint as is so I will leave that decision to the next owner. The front bumper was tweaked before my purchase and I did have it straightened and re-chromed. I did sandblast and re-paint all of the bumper and grill bracketry at that time. The back bumper is original and does exhibit some light fading. Over the years I have installed NOS headlight rings, front floor mats, tail light bezels, and lenses. Most recent work involved the installation of new rubber seals where side windows meet the roof rail. This particular car was originally a Wyoming car and purchased from the original owner around 1967 and kept by the second owner until the early 1990s. I am a private collector, not a dealer. I will be including manuals and literature in the sale. Car is sold as is where is local pick up only. I will of course make myself available to coordinate pick-up. I have clear title but because Georgia does not title cars prior to 1964 I can only issue bill of sale. I have previous titles back to 1967. The car is located in Atlanta, GA 30307 Backgound related to the 1958 Mercury Park Lane: The Park Lane was a new top of the line model in 1958 and came standard with a Lincoln 430 cubic inch motor making an advertised 360 horsepower. This was the largest engine produced by any American manufacturer in 1958. Designed to move the new heavier unit-body Lincolns, when equipped with the optional one year only Super Marauder (triple two barrel carburetors), this motor was the most powerful of the entire 1950s delivering 400 hp. Only the Chrysler 300, at 380 horsepower, fell between the four barrel aspirated car you see here, and those 100 or so Super Marauder equipped cars. (info. derived from Hemming’s Classic Car April 2012) The years 1957-1959 were the only years that Mercury had its own exclusive body design not shared with either Ford or Lincoln. However, some components were shared with the new larger Edsels. The Park Lane differed from other 1958 Mercury models in that from the center of the doors back this model has a larger fin cove, freestanding tail lights, and an additional 8” of length in the trunk. The prevailing theory is that the new luxury Park Lane was introduced to make sure that there was no confusion that Mercury was indeed a step up from the new Edsel in the Ford hierarchy. Marketing wise the Park Lane was targeting the middle luxury market, specifically the Buick Roadmaster and Limited buyer. 1958 was a recession year and Ford underestimated the impact of Edsel on Mercury Division sales. Base price for the new Park Lane was $3944 with only 5241 of this model produced. While the wildly styled Turnpike Cruisers became collectible early on, the upper level Park Lane became somewhat obscure and few remain today.

Cadillac : Seville Base Sedan 4-Door GORGEOUS 1984 VERY LOW MILE ALL ORIGINAL CADILLAC SEVILLE

William L. "Bill" Mitchell was an automobile designer who was recruited by Harley Earl to join the Art and Colour Section of General Motors in 1935. Mitchell is responsible for creating or influencing the design of over 72.5 million automobiles produced by GM, including such landmark vehicles as the 1949 Cadillac with its P38 influenced fins, the 1955-57 Chevrolet Bel Air, the 1961-76 Corvette Stingray, and his swan song, the 1980-1985 Cadillac Seville. Since it was the last design of consequence that General Motors design chief Bill Mitchell oversaw, Wayne Kady’s 1980 Cadillac Seville is thought by some to be the ultimate expression of Mitchell’s design philosophy. No doubt Mitchell was a fan of what he called the “London look”, and the ’80 Seville had that in spades: a classic vertical grille, a bustle shaped rear end, a raked C pillar and a long hood. When accused of borrowing the bustle-back from a contemporary Lincoln, Mitchell reportedly got indignant and said that he stole it from Rolls-Royce, not the cross-town competition in Dearborn. The second generation Seville made its debut in the fall of 1979 to great fanfare and controversy. Although there were decent production numbers for this body’s 6 year run, very few were saved by collectors, mainly because of the popularity of the midsized coupes of this era. This is proving to have been a big oversight. On any given day you can find a nice low mile Eldorado of this generation, but a pristine low mile Seville is very scarce. And Cadillac collectors have noticed, with the demand for a nice second generation Seville more than doubling the price over the last five years. This gorgeous low mile, all original Seville was purchased recently by my 87 year old father, who has always driven Cadillacs and lamented the sale of his series 2 Seville in the 1990s. Unfortunately though, after recent triple bypass surgery, and while he is in great overall health, he (we) decided his driving days are setting. After scouring Hemmings, eBay, and Craigslist, he found this car local. It was the pride and joy of a local personage who had two cars, this Seville and a Lincoln Towncar; the Seville was her go to Sunday church car. Dad acquired the car from her estate; he dealt with her nephew who as a professional mechanic, had always taken care of her cars. This Seville has always been garaged, has always had a battery tender attached, has always been started regularly, and has always been serviced regularly. One interesting detail, look for the image of the door jamb service sticker that shows a 1991 oil change at 21xxx miles. Freshly Serviced: After purchase, we took the car to my mechanic and had him do a comprehensive service. Here is a list of what we had him do: · Replaced the master-brake cylinder. · Brakes themselves were in tip-top shape but we did a complete brake fluid flush after replacing the master brake cylinder. · New front shocks. · New exhaust system from the exhaust pipe back, including a new muffler and resonator. · New OEM power antenna motor. · New plugs and a general tune-up. · New tires. The tires on the car were like new but they were installed in 2009 and had developed a flat spot on one tire. · Oil and filter change. · Coolant was like new so we didn’t drain or flush. · Belts and hoses were like new so we left them alone. · Battery is good. Wiper blades are good. Every light works. All instruments work. Mileage computer works. Everything works. Remarkable. Mechanically, this car is ready to drive across the country. The AC works great, the climate control system works as new, the cruise control works as new, the optional radio/cassette player sounds great, not a rattle or hum. However I noticed that when using the cassette, one channel will go in and out. It might be that the head needs to be cleaned with a Q-Tip and alcohol. Or it could have been the included cassette of Patsy Cline; I don’t have another cassette to test. Visually the car is like new. It is in spectacular condition. Not a door ding, scratch, the panels are laser straight; there has never been any body damage and there is zero rust or corrosion. All the light lenses are clear without fade. It is in as close to mint condition as you will ever find. I have seen newer cars with the same mileage that could not hold up to comparison; the car is in remarkable condition. Even the cigarette lighters have never been used. The car’s interior smells like a new car, the leather is spotless and supple. All the glass, rubber grommets, and seals are like the day they left the factory. No scratches to the all original glass, all the rubber bits are in fantastic shape. The last thing to mention would be how visually, the car is a really beautiful color. The same can be said about the leather, which comes very close to matching the exterior hue. I spent a lot of time looking up the paint codes and the paint code WA-8240 was called WOODLAND HAZE METALLIC. The interior color I believe was called MEDIUM COGNAC. I decoded the RPO codes online from the Cadillac forum and the interior code corresponds to four different options. As two were for an Opel, which is GM in Europe, and one was for a Holden, GM built in Australia; I deduced the MEDIUM COGNAC would be the correct color name for the US. Please see the entire list of the included GM RPO codes and notes that are at the end of this listing. You will see that there are some codes that show as “No Match”, I did my best to find out what those codes corresponded to but in searching the Cadillac forum, found other owners having the same issue so assume that without further investigation, we will have to accept that we tried. A long listing, yes. I tried to highlight each area of interest, so for those who aren’t as obsessive, wouldn’t have to wade thru the minutia. For those that enjoy the details, well here you go! It is a really nice car that is worth spending the time on. Price: Well I know we spent the dollars to acquire the best but Dad is open to reasonable offers.
