Up for sale is my Ultra-Rare - black on black - 1990 928 GT with 94,000 miles on it. There's probably less than 100 of these that exist in America today. I hate to sell it, but the car is simply out of my league as far as time/maintenance is concerned. "The Beast" runs great and turns heads everywhere it goes. It's a pure thrill to drive.Timing belt & water pump replaced about 4 years ago with only a couple thousand miles on both.Back tires are OK but needs new front tires (You might get another 200 miles out of the fronts).Exterior/paint I'd rate as a 7.5/10Interior I'd rate a 9/10 (original steering wheel included with sale)Mechanical I'd rate a 6.5/10 (possible to bring up to a 8-9/10):Here are the mechanical issues:PSD/ABS is disabled - took it to Porsche to have it checked out. They said it needs either a new ABS/PSD computer, ABS pump, or could be as simple as flushing the ABS fluid. I have a replacement PSD/ABS computer module and ABS pump that I am including with the sale. Both are used, and are said to work, but I don't have the tools to test them. Needs headlight motor replaced, working replacement motor included.Engine block is dripping small amounts of oil. Porsche tells me this is common with 928s of that era. The seals will need to be replaced eventually.Lastly, I didn't know this at time of purchase, but 6 years ago the car was in a front end collision that deployed the airbags. Front end was rebuilt by a team of specialists. All paneling lines up and car drives straight. Car has been driven thoroughly since, and have had zero issues with the car in this regard. With that said, the title is clean. The car also has a few upgrades, including: MOMO steering wheel, performance suspension & exhaust, and solid motor mounts. Overall, this 928GT runs and sounds great, but needs the care of an experienced owner to bring it back to its former glory. Car sold as is, and is located in Baltimore, MD. Ok so here goes... Here is my 1990 Porsche 928 s4. Silver with linen and maroon interior, automatic heavily optioned with 2004 corvette zo6 LS6 with approx 28k miles when I did the conversion about 3 years ago. Engine has about 40k miles now. Engine was Dyno ran and tuned with approx 419hp corrected. I bought 4 928's in an estate sale several years ago and turns out this one had a thrust bearing failure. So a renegade LS conversion kit was not necessarily the least expensive way to go but it was by far from a reliability, performance and mpg mind set, it was the best choice for me. As you might know, the LS motor is almost 100lbs lighter, 100 more hp and half the green house emissions. Also FYI all the required emission components are present for easy smog certification. I have a video of the car on the Dyno and extra pictures. The car itself is very nice. Full power heated seats with leather surfaces. See option codes for all the details. Everything works... Ac blows cold, gauges all work, windows, sunroof etc. Dave lomas at slc Motorsports has put a fair amount of hours in this car fine tuning things I could not. Car has newer Carrera wheels and yellow stuff pads and duschtec shocks. Completely rust free as car spent its life in Napa California. Car shifts great can cruises as a 928 should. Last year I drove car from utah to Washington then down through Montana. I averaged 77 mph and 22.3 mpg. It really is a great car and I am torn to let it go but I have other projects that have taken my fancy and having the extra cash greases those skids. Things that need attention: 1) rear hatch buttons work but won't release gate so you have to use key. It's out of adjustment and nave not taken the time to fix as the key works fine. 2) stereo is ok, but needs amp 3) front brake squeak occasionally due to performance pads. 4) as you can see in pic. Driver rear quarter has a small ding. I had a dent master company come remove it but didn't do such a great job. 5) small warble on passenger quarter from a friend helping me push it in garage. And right front rub trim has touchup paint on it. 6) under rear valance there is a crack in valance from a previous fender bender. Damage is only in facia not in bumper mechanism. I can send pic. Call me with any questions. I have about $10-12k in this conversion. Although renegade parts are only a few grand, motor and everything else adds up pretty quick. So I'm well in over 25k for the car. Which is ok because it was a blast to drive and there a no 928's in utah... And with the upgraded rims the younger crowd is perplexed not knowing the car... And with these modern updates it's a nice classic Porsche that people can and wonder how you fit a zo6 engine in a classic car. Text me if you want more pics and ill send them to you. To many project and need the room so the cars needs a new home. Please read all !!!! If you hit Buy it Now you are buying a 1979 Porsche 928 and a 1984 Porsche 928 both with clean titles. The first car is a Black 1979 Porsche 928 I got in a trade and it needs some work to be complete and driveable. This car runs good has new tires and polished rims and a nice paint job. I have replaced the clutch master and clutch slave cylinder and installed a new front spoiler. Interior seats and door panels are in great condition. Things it needs for completion: Clutch has air in system that I haven't been able to get out to be a driver. It will go in all gears perfect but the clutch wont release. Paint needs wet sanding and buffed its not bad just not perfect. With wet sanding and buff should show nicely. There are two scrapes in paint on both rear Quarter shown in pictures that needs touch up and a couple of paint chips.. The interior needs finished put back together and its missing some carpet. Some of the engine vacum lines are dry and will need replaced. The alternator needs replaced its not charging or possible relay or fuse. Dash cap needs put on. Has new dash cap but needs speedo pod cap also. Speedo was replaced at some time with white gauges so miles are unknown the title says 75,000 miles original back in 2014 and the car says 28,000 miles on the white speedo Windshield needs replaced but all the rest of the glass is good. This will make a easy project for someone that has some skills in cars. Bleeding the air out of the clutch system will be the hardest thing to do so read some forums before you buy. I gave up on trying to bleed the air out of the clutch. I just don't have the proper tools or time to deal with it. So my loss your gain This car will need to be towed the brakes work perfect. Don't know when the timing belt was replaced last but this is a non interference motor so not a big deal if it breaks down the road. My loss your gain.
