I have purchased this car with salvaged title in 2006 and have custom designed and rebuilt every detail excluding engine. My plan was to put an S52 engine in it but unfortunately I run out of budget. I have every single receipt to show and I have lots of extra parts to go with it ones the reserve price (7777) is met but make your offers and let the best offer win. What I did: Completely replaced (every single component) suspension with an M3 suspension. Replaced all mounts: engine, transmission, differential, driveshaft, basically every single rubber part on the car was replaced. Its the holy grail of early 325's .....The first 4WD BMW Only made from 1988 to 1991, full independent suspension...Four wheels disc brakes. Only the 325IX had fender flares. Everything works on this car except a few minor things like Drivers side door lock and bouncing speedo. New tires have 50 miles on them...just changed oil and filter. The factory paint was blue but a complete re-paint was done years ago, now the clear coat is failing but looks great from 10 feet. The only place that wasn't painted white was in the spare tire well. Original seats were stolen....Borbet wheels....Typical cracks in dash....Upgraded Hella and Off Road lights........A/C upgraded and cold .... Here is a 1991 BMW 325i coupe in blue. It has a six cylinder and an automatic transmission. The body is generally straight and rust free, especially for a 1991. There are only two rust spots that I have found, one is on the drivers front wheel well and the other is the lower rear valance, below the bumper on the passenger side. The fenders, door seams, door jambs are all solid with no signs of any rust. I have owned the car for three and a half years. It has been a great car and has never let me down.The actual mileage is unknown. The odometer currently reads 189000. The previous owner estimated that it probably had a little over 200,000 miles. I have probably added 25,000 to 30,000 miles to this. I commute approximately 70 to 80 miles a day and drive this regularly during the Spring, Summer and Fall. I have driven in the Winter but try not to when the roads are salty.The power windows and sunroof operate as they should.It is an honest, solid original car. It runs pretty good, however, there is often a hesitation on acceleration from a stop.Since it has been in my care, the following items have been addressed.1. Rebuilt front suspension, including having the steering rack rebuilt, replacing tie rods, control arms, bushings and stabilizer links. The power steering hoses were also replaced with new.2. Replaced the drivers side rear wheel bearing, half-shaft and bushings. The rear subframe bushings have not been replaced and I suspect are original.3. Rear brakes were done with new rotors, pads and brake hoses.4. Rear differential fluid has been replaced.5. Replaced the muffler and catalytic converter.6. Replaced the driveshaft with a used driveshaft. There is a slight driveline vibration on takeoff, but that may be due to the driveshaft coupling nut. I have a new one with rubber spline seal, it will be included with the sale for the new owner to install.7. Tires are in excellent condition, they were replaced a little over two and a half years ago. Alignment was performed when the front suspension was rebuilt.8. In the engine bay, the rubber intake boot, vacuum lines, cap and rotor, spark plugs have been replaced with new. The timing belt and water pump should be replaced soon. I have a new timing belt, tensioner and water pump, which will be included for the buyer to install. 9. Blue coir floor mats were purchased 3 years ago.Since it is an older car, there are several items that could use attention.The drivers seat leather has come apart this Summer and the foam is exposed.The A/C doesn't currently work. It hasn't worked since I have owned the car.The original paint is dodgy with a peeling clear coat on the hood, roof and trunk lid.Some spares I have will be included with the sale, 1. BMW black vinyl sport seats (they will need to be recovered)2. Original rear seat back (optional rear seat back with headrests are installed)3. New timing belt, tensioner and water pump4. Drivshaft coupling nut with spline rubberWith some finishing touches like a decent respray and new seat leather for the front seats, this would be a great classic driver.This lovely little auto gets attention where ever I go. For sale is a project car I can't seem to get to. I purchased it from my friend about a month ago as it would not start one morning. I always worked on his car and he said it was time to give it up as he has spent to much money on it. I tested tried many things & have narrowed it down to the timing jumping a tooth due to a stretched chain. I ended up getting it started but would backfire & die once you gave it gas. Have spark, fuel pressure @ 47 psi,Injector pulse,etc. Also tried a new DME. Engine is slighly dissasembled fro diagnostics testing. I did a compression test & all cylinder were between 180-200. I have no time to work on it anymore as I am selling my house but will not give it away. It has had a ton of maint. over the past years. Paint is in great original shape(Slighlty faded,but good buff will bring it back) Convertible top original & fair/good shape.
