While I've owned it, the following repairs / maintenance have been completed: New Michelin Pilot Sport tires, all 4 intake manifold gaskets replaced, valve cover gaskets replaced, plugs, caps rotors,1 coil and wires replaced, fuel filters replaced, drive shaft replaced, transmission pump seal replaced, front and rear suspension bushings replaced. At some point in time the car has been repainted the original Calypso Red Metallic. It has a few chips and scratches typical of a 25 year old car. It looks great from 10 feet away, definitely attracts a lot of attention! The car is sold as is, where is. DESCRIPTION: You are bidding on a 1991 BMW  850i. I am the second owner of this vehicle and it has been a  blast but I need to clear some space. 102,000 original miles. I  just spent over $2000 in service, fixing all the oil leaks,  suspension work, etc. I also put on brand new 18" tires with  blacked out BMW rims. I do have the original rims that will be  included with the car. The interior is excellent. No tears  in the leather, no cracks in the dash. All the windows work,  both power seats work. The only issue's I can tell is the  display lights for the information center are partially out, the  front marker light glass is broken and the screw in plastic bolt  for the tool kit in the trunk is broken. The paint is good but definitely  shows some age, the only flaw I can see if there is a small  group of bubbles on the front drivers fender, otherwise it looks  good, the clear coat is intact but it has some fading from age.  There is not any visible rust to the body and it was a Colorado  car for the majority of it's life. So my business partner decided he should buy this car, after he acquired a 1994 BMW 850CSI." I'll take it to Florida and drive it while I am there over the winter months". Well That never happened. So this car sat in the garage, and got used very sparingly since 2008. We have serviced this car in Our Shop since November 1997 [54,000 miles]. The prior owner was the founder of the E31 List, and was fastidious about the care and service of the car.We have all the service records for the car. He, nor any of the other[2] owners in it's life, have ever used it for a daily driver. Long Road trips to Atlanta from Washington DC was more the norm for this car. It was garaged by all of it's prior owners. At 80,000 miles, the EDC Shocks/Struts started leaking dampening oil. After some research, we used the Sachs BMW OE replacement shocks from the Euro 850i and removed the EDC Componentry. They work very well, and the car is very stable at high cruising speeds. In 2007, At 135,000, We performed Inspection II and All Cooling System Hoses, Pipes, Water pump , Aux. Water pump ,Thermostat , Valve cover gaskets, Injector Seals ,fuel lines and plastic connections for same , Driveshaft , Intake Block Gaskets, ASC& t lines, Brake Rotors and Pads, Front and Rear,Etc, at a cost of $9300.00 . It has always had the best care. Typically, Transmission Fluid was flushed every 2 years, which makes the ZF 4HP very happy. I used this car for a 4 hour drive a couple weeks ago, it performed well, without issue! Mr B, the prior owner decided to buy an M3 coupe in 2008. hence the sale to my business partner. The Remote Keys have never unlocked the car remotely . The owner never wanted to pursue that, so we never have.We have several rubber head keys, but I suspect it should have the clunky switchblade remote instead.

Selling this beautiful BMW850i. 1991 with 119958 original miles. I am the second owner. I bought the car over a year ago in CA. The person that sold me the car was the original owner. He provided me with lots of service records all performed by the main BMW dealer in CA. I have all the paperwork. I have done a few things to the car myself, including all new fluids. Rust free car. Paint is in very good condition, but it is an original painting, so some areas in the bumper and rear view mirrors are a little faded, i believe that should be expected. Car has a few dings, i believe is expected in a 24 year vehicle. The headliner is loose in some parts, the front seats do operate, but they won't operate in every way possible. The pioneer CD in the trunk is missing the cd cartridge and the radio is on weather band only. The pixels are missing in then information display which i believe is a common issue with these older BMWs. Driver and passenger front seats have one small hole i believe from cigarettes in each, they are small and could be fixed. Sun roof works, BMW of Las Vegas told me there is nothing that needs to be done at this time. Feel free to have the car inspected at your discretion. Car is running great, very very smooth transmission, but i barely ever drive it. I wanted to do so much with this car, but i just cannot afford it. Car has always been garaged since i bought it, batteries are new and they are always on a battery tender to keep them fresh. I tried and described the best way i can. It is very hard to let this car go, i adore this vehicle. I will not take a trade and i need $14000. Clear title in hand. Car is for sale in Las Vegas currently, so mileage may vary. Nice 850i BMW. We are a indoor dismantling salvage business. Car was purchased at auction with the intent to dismantle an sell parts. Vehicle was delivered and didnt have the heart to dismantle. Car is not perfect, installed batterys drained fuel tank and installed fresh fuel. Replaced all four tires with new. Engine runs smooth no funny noises , no oil leaks, very small stain on bottom of radiator. Car seems to start to run hot after a long time of ildeling looks like it needs a clutch fan. Overall body is nice , looked to be repainted at one time has some small dents here and there no rust. Body looks to have factory installed wing and ac shintzer body kit. Wheels are M series staggered parallel. Chrome on wheels is peeling. Interior is nice driver seat is ripped , rest of interior is good. A/c does not work compressor seems free, probably needs to be recharged . Windows all work as does rest of functions. Has a message in message center stating that there is a brake light out but all seem to work. Head lights work. Sunroof is inop. Drove car local seemed to drive and shift nice stopped well. Really dont know any history on car and wouldnt drive any distance without going through it so plan on towing it home if u buy it. Here is a chance to build a BMW 850 the way you would like it. We have owned this car for about 10 years and we were devastated when the engine clattered to a stop. It was always an incredible driving experience. Even though this is a 25 year old design it is still a head turner. Just read the comments from other sellers. Rather than fix the engine I wanted to fit the later 5.4 liter engine. I had read it was a much improved design. Now my plans have changed and the car is for sale. You will see many 5.0 and 5.4 engines for sale here on ebay and not expensive for an exotic V12. Alternatively almost any engine could be fitted. This car would be a perfect candidate for a big horsepower engine as it car has the suspension, brakes and aerodynamics to handle any power. It could be truly unique and not just another cookie-cutter hot rod. Body is straight but the clear coat is failing on the original paint. This color was the classy choice 20+ years ago but I think would look killer with a modern touch. Again it's your choice to make it just as you would want it. Interior is still looking good, a really comfortable 4 seater GT. No problems with the electrics as some of these cars had although some of the pixels are bad on the display. You cannot duplicate this today for under the price of a new PhantomTo make this car have more power without altering the originality or integrity a few basic things were done. First, all 3 computer chips were changed. The V12 cars use two “DME” computers on one “EML” computer. The DMEs each run one side of the twin 6 cylinder engine. The EML is more the throttles, and other aspects and is kind of linking the DMEs together. The DME chips are the popular Conforti chips, giving the car about 30HP over its 300HP rating. The EML, removed the top speed limiter and raised the rev limiter. This is a separate chip from another company and is roughly the same chip used on an Alpina B12. The combo of the 3 allow the car to achieve a near 180MPH speed and give it a bit more acceleration.The last upgrade is the exhaust. This exhaust transforms this already “over attention” getting car, to a musical tune not played by any other car on the road. The exhaust was custom built on a chassis dyne by one of Dallas’ best. Although it took extensive work and only gives the car 16 actual HP, the looks and sound are so impressive that you just want to listen to it all day. If you did not see the car, you will look when you hear is as there is no other sound like it. If you own an E31, I highly recommend a system like this as it literally makes the car! By the way, the factory exhaust is plastic bagged and is still with the car.With all of the performance mods, this particular 850 has 286HP to the wheels. 1991 BMW 850i E31 RWD two door w/ 6sp manual transmission- 100% original, unmolested, and has been referred to as "sat in a time capsule" condition. This car has been relegated to weekend use (BMW events) and is rarely taken out of the garage. That being said, the car could be driven across the country today with absolutely no issues. Finished in Schwarz Black over a Silver leather interior with MANUAL transmission (very rare:#121 of 847 total M70 E31's with 6 spd and only 17 M70's ever made in this color combo with 6 spd- vehicle build sheet can be emailed which confirms this). Car is registered in E31 classic car registry. Sold new by Main Line BMW in Philadephia, PA with a MSRP of $80,000 (which would have been $150k+ today if adjusting for inflation), the car’s original owner was a doctor at the University of Penn hospital and used it to commute from New Jersey daily. The original window sticker is included with the car. He owned the car until February 2000, when he sold it with 145K miles to me (the car’s second owner). Bought in 2000 with 145K and have some receipts from the BMW dealer (Main Line BMW) with my name on them dating back over 10 years ago. I recently moved back to PA this year and so it is now titled and inspected in PA with classic tags. Overall Condition Brand new PA state inspection good until June 2016. The original owner had the motor replaced at 138K with a brand new motor at Main Line BMW (covered under an extended warranty at the time) due to a timing chain issue. Always garaged - winner of the 2013 Super Clean Car category in a local car show for original >20 years old import class. When looking at other sellers, mostly dealers, you'll notice they say very little or as little as possible about the factual condition of their cars. They want you to do all the leg work to discover the hidden issues with their cars and they hope you'll never find out. You'll also notice a lot of salvaged, storm exposed or rebuilt cars out there. I'm not automatically saying stay away from them, you can get some real good deals - but if you want a well maintained, adult driven, all original dealer maintained 8 Series that you can just get in and drive across the country, this is the car. Putting out 296 hp and 332 ft-lbs of torque, the 5.0L V12 engine makes the car an absolute Autobahn bomber, but ride quality is immaculate whether in town or on the highway, the suspension and brakes each functioning flawlessly, rounding out a solid and secure driving experience that causes one to truly appreciate the engineering that went into the 8 series. It's hard to envision anything distinctly more pleasurable to drive, and that includes BMW’s more modern (but less exclusive) offerings. Exterior The car’s Black (Schwarz) finish is in "show car" shape, there are no dents, rock chips, scratches, and ZERO RUST...the paint has an absolute showroom shine. The body is entirely straight, all of the trim, rubber and glass is in excellent condition and the car rides on the original authentic BMW wheels wrapped in very good tread. The hood and front bumper were professionally resprayed to completely remove any flaws (i.e. rock chips). The wheels are original and have been refinished. The car has never been in any accidents and all of the body parts are original. Interior The interior of the car is all original and immaculate. The on board pixel displays all work. The leather passenger sport seat and rear seat have almost zero usage throughout the cars life (no damage or tears). The leather on the drivers seat is structurally perfect and shows negligible wear on the bolster with no tears as well. The carpet is clean and the mats are brand new 850i floor mats. There is a small crack in the plastic below the center phone where the cradle used to rest. The dash is perfect with no cracks and the trunk area is also clean. The headliner is in great shape. The car was never smoked in and the windows, sunroof, seats, etc. all function flawlessly. This car comes with everything it came with day one....2 keys, a full size spare with tire in perfect condition, fold up toolkit, lift jack, owners manual, and even a BMW tape cleaning kit. It also comes with the original window sticker. Mechanical The car is also mechanically excellent, the M70 V12 engine starting effortlessly, pulling strong and smoothly through each of the manual transmission’s gears with even compression across all 12 cylinders. Just about all steering, suspension, and braking items were replaced to make the car feel like new again. It currently drives like it has 30K miles with a very tight suspension and firm braking. The A/C blows ice cold and the heat works great. There are no grinding noises, squeals, clanks, or looseness in this car. The clutch does not slip and grabs where it should. I have many repair records going back to 1998. Selling this beautiful BMW 850i. Car has 119000 miles. Engine is smooth, no service needed at this time. I have bought this car from a seller in CA that had this vehicle since new. This car had always been serviced by the authorized BMW DEALER IN CA. Lots of service history. I purchased the car and had a few things done as well. All fluids are new. The authorized BMW dealer in Las Vegas where I live said nothing needs to be done at this time. Paint is beautiful, but this is a 24-year-old car with original painting. Scratches are dings should be expected. The headliner needs work, and the power seats won't go in every way needed. I keep the car on a battery tender since I barely ever drive it.
