It was a great commuter for my wife when we lived in Little Rock and her commute was 3 miles. Now, our commute is an hour, and I can't fit into the car comfortably as a driver. Headlight issue is common and easily fixed; I just don't have the time to do it. I have several 'extra' parts that you can use, including a headlight motor. Take it apart, clean the gear mechanism, grease it, and you have a new motor. No scammers, morons, or tire kickers, please. I don't have time to waste. No owner financing. Cash talks, bullshit walks. PARTS / REPAIR ONLY. This 1991 Mercury Capri includes the hard top and many new parts (all available service receipts will be provided). In the late summer of 2016 it was diagnosed with terminal rot in the driver's side A pillar, compromising the integrity of the unibody, and we've finally given up on it. The terminal issue was discovered as we were trying to sort out a puzzling mystery with the power steering, which is way too heavy on on side. We bought this car in early 2009 from a friend who was not the original owner and it has had extensive work. The steering rack and pump are new, along with many, many more parts, including but not limited to: Transmission, Driver's Side Door, Starter, Alternator, Exhaust from the manifold back including Catalytic Convertor, Rear Tires, Vinyl Convertible Top, Windshield, Front Bumper, Left Headlight Bucket and Lifting Assembly, Rear Trailing Arms, Radiator, Rear Brake Lines, All Brake Shoes and Rotors, All Wheel Bearings and Struts, Inner and Outer Tie Rods, Clock Spring, Air Bag Sensors, all belts and hoses, many small interior parts, the removable Trunk Floor and many, many more. The body was painted (by Maaco, so there's overspray everywhere) and every panel had rust removed or repaired. A small rust patch on the underside of the frame, rust on the radiator mount, and rust holes at the backs of both front wheel wells were all professionally repaired. Shipping or pickup will be solely the responsibility or the purchaser, and is not included in the sale price.

Top is in ok condition, shift smoothly and is great on gas! ***Confirmed it is an XR2 because it has the turbo - base model did not include this. Can use a set of new tires and paint. Comes with replacement power window motor that needs to be swapped out. Been stored in the garage most of the time I have owned it. It runs and drives great. New top a few years ago. Tires are good. Needs a paint job and 1 fender. I removed the fenders because I was going to replace them and paint the car. Brand new clutch kit in trunk waiting for someone to install. Clutch still works but is at the end of the adjustment. This car was inherited by my Wife from her Father. It was his daily driver. The car runs and drives good, but it is not perfect. The drivers side rear quarter panel needs to be replaced to really look good. (see pictures). There is rust in the floor boards in places. We do have a brand new convertible top (OEM quality) that goes with the car, but not installed. The front seats have seat covers as the original cloth is not in the greatest condition. Overall, the car looks and runs good for its age. 30 plus miles per gallon! There are a lot of new parts on this car. It has had synthetic motor oil ran in it for the past several years. We have the title in hand.

This auction is for 2 Mercury Capri Convertibles…1991 & 1993. Both with 1.6 engines and automatic transmissions. Parts are 100% interchangeable. The 1991 has 116,113 miles with the timing belt and water pump changed at 107,000 miles. It is very clean and mostly rust free. It has a set of 4 new tires (1000 miles), new a/c compressor with full charge, and a fairly new battery. The exhaust is in good condition. Very solid car but the windshield is cracked, the carpet and convertible top frame are missing but good on the other car. This is the car I would restore. The 1993 is the parts car. The passenger door and trunk lid are damaged but rust free. The bra is in good shape, the windshield is perfect and the convertible top frame is excellent although the top is pretty rough (not usable). Everything works on this car but it runs for a few minutes then shuts off. It is able to be restarted in 15 minutes. Auction includes a new convertible top that needs to be installed, a black hard top with all electrical connections, and a car cover. I may consider parting out these cars if the price is right.
