1992 chevy gladiator conversion van runs great g20 3/4 v8 350 5.7 automatic Clean clear mississippi title. van is located in dallas texas 75206. Van was just cleaned inside and out and has 178,000 some miles on it. Since 2008 the van was only driven 20,000 miles. Grandpa hit a pole in the front of the van so fender bumper and grill are damaged. I checked at junk yards and you can get all parts for about a 100 bucks if you ever wanted it fixed. Van drives and runs just fine and damage does not affect the van at all besides the look. all lights and blinkers work. the cruise control does not work neither does all the power locks. heat works great and i have not tried the ac so lets just say that needs a charge to work. Van has a exhaust leak not to loud but you can notice it. Also i took the rear blower motor out and bought a new one that will go with van. We just payed to have a new fuel pump, oil change, a new used transmission installed that was bought from a salvage yard and both front window motors replaced. We have the receipt and will include in the pictures and payed over 1,100 dollars for all of that. 20k ago van had new tires shocks brakes rear axle seal, alignment, rotors turned, right outer tie rod end, pitman arm all replaced professionally and have that receipt also and will include in the pictures. I installed a new heater core and belt tensioner myself and i have receipts for that also. We recently took van to the cotton bowl and back and van did great there and back. I've put 400 miles on van in last month and haven't had any problems and cruises real nice on the hwy. Has no problems cruising 70-80 mph on the hwy. Temperture stays under the half way point at all times and sits there and runs really nice. Would like 500 deposit into paypal when auction is finished and rest in cash in person. Van has two or 3 sets of keys also. Has 2 mini tv's a vcr. Also the bed in the back needs one cable replaced on the front right side of the front motor to be able to lay down. This excellent Chevrolet G20 Short Wheel Base 3/4 ton conversion van is in very good condition.I just purchased it 2 months ago and I'm selling it as it needs a bit more inside work thanI want to have done.It's also important to notice (picture 8) that it fits (barely) into a standard size garage for the garaging folks. This van has running boards, dual exterior air horns (installed on driver side) and a reese (platform) hitch for towing needs. Please read everything I'm listing as I do not have a bunch of time using it. So I'm listing the good and the not as good. THE ENGINE:(VERY GOOD) A lot of what I'm writing comes from the previous owners statements who owned and used it for several years.The engine was completely rebuilt at 68,000 miles(per the owner). He said he had the bill to verify but then said he couldnot find it so I think the rebuild has the difference (in mileage) between the 108,110 showing on it now vs.68,500. Healso told me that the previous engine was fine but rebuilt it as he had a mobile stereo installation business and could not afford to have it break down on him.That seems to hold water as it runs solid and tight. He says it was economicalon gas but I've never owned any van that was real economical due to it's body design. Probably 14 -15 mpg's. THE TRANSMISSION: (Also Very Good) I had the van trucked in and dropped off at my mechanic shop for a complete going over.That going over cost me 1300.00but it is great mechanically. The tranny only needed the fluid replaced. By the way, I can provide the proof of it. BRAKES AND REAR END: The rear brakes were completely re-done a year ago (per the previous owner) who did not providethe paperwork proof he promised. But on my mechanics re-check it proved to be so. No work needed there but the front brakesneeded work.The rotors, calipers and everything else brake wise had to be totally re-worked. The vans rear end checked out great. AIR CONDITIONER: It has front a/c as that's whats needed in a short wheel base van. I had it checked out thoroughly-- no leaks or coolingproblems with it. Does cool down the van just as the previous owner stated. THE MARK lll HI TOP CONVERSION (the not quite as good) It's in good physical condition (no rust or damage) but needs a repaint as the paint is original and faded in spots.I would re-paint it had I decided to keep it. The interior needs work. It only has the 2 front seats. The previous ownertook out the center seats and the rear bench seat (and threw them away) to change the vans interior to fit his business. I understand that but the seats are something you'd need to replace if you were going to use it as a family conversion van.His interior change isn't attractive and needs work. The last picture (10) is what the interior looks like. The back has a largestereo setup that I left in because it makes the van more valuable. If you didn't want it you could remove it all for seating.The inside is obviously set up for the old owners business.Definitely needs to be re-worked. It has power windows (that work fine), electric door locks that do not. I think the cruise and tilt work fine. He installed a funky steering wheel but does look cool and that's about all I know about it.The tires and wheels look very good.If I were buying it and lived 1000 miles away, I wouldn't think twice about driving it back home. I purchased this vehicle in 2011 from a Friend of mine for 3 reasons. First, It only had 112,000 miles on it with a 5.7L engine (plenty of power). Secondly, I knew that My Friend had recently replaced the transmission thru a Chevy dealer. Third, being in the carpeting business, I was able to fit 12 foot rolls of carpeting inside the van and still be able to close the rear doors. This was real important when transporting rolls of carpeting in inclement weather. I am no longer in the carpet business and really don't have a need for this vehicle so that's why I'm selling it on Ebay. In the 3 + years that I have owned the vehicle, I have only put around 7 or 8 thousand miles on it total within the whole 3 years. It has been on the road for the entire time that I owned it and I do have the Pa. State inspection receipts for each year. I didn't use it much except for once in a while, but when I did have a need to use it, it had to be dependable in all kinds of weather, so I put money into the vehicle to keep it well maintained. I have made the following repairs in the past three years and have the receipts to prove all of it. New Hercules Radial Tires, 10 ply Load Range E, New Spark Plugs, New Ignition Wires, Distributor Cap & Rotor, New Battery, New Muffler & Tailpipe, New Brake Pads front & rear (shoes), New Rear Wheel Cylinder, New Front Brake Caliper, New Brake Lines from Master Cylinder to the Rear Brakes, New Heater Control Valve, Replace EGR Valve, Flushed transmission At 116,000 miles. The Truck runs real good for it's age and is Very dependable. The size of the bed is enormous and the suspension I have been told is rated at one ton. I can believe it too because there were many times I have filled this baby up to the roof with split firewood and the body didn't even sag an inch. Also, the power locks do work and I have a remote to operate them. The Van does have a hitch for pulling a trailer, along with a 4 point electrical plug. Now for the Bad News. The following items Don't Work. Power Windows, Air Conditioning, Dome Lights. Also, there is some flaking paint spots here and there, mostly on the roof and hood. These things weren't important to me, so I never bothered to fix them. I was concerned with having a safe, dependable vehicle, and that's where I concentrated my repair work. Some of the other things that are defective is the fact that there is some light body rust all around the bottom edge of the Van. I painted over most of those spots with a red lead primer. There is also some rust on the side mirrors. Also the front windshield could use a new rubber seal. It doesn't leak water but someone put what looks like a caulking along the rubber seal. (see photo) I took the back seat out and will include it with the vehicle. I also have 4 extra tires (2 are on rims) which I will include with the sale. These tires are not great like the ones currently on the van, but they can be good to have, particularly the 2 extra rims. Also, the interior could use a good vacuum job and cleanup. I leave that job to the Buyer. In a nutshell, if you need a solid work truck to beat up, then this is the van for you. The engine doesn't burn a drop of oil and given the fact that the transmission was replaced, there is plenty of life left in this truck for someone. The way things work in Pennsylvania is that in order to transfer and sell a vehicle both parties have to go before a notary to sign and transfer the title and ownership. I have clear title and that's not an issue but I won't sell the vehicle to you unless we both go before a Pennsylvania notary first and do the transfer paperwork. There is Absolutely No Way I will release the vehicle to you unless we do that. So if you win the auction send me an ebay message with your phone number and we can work out a weekday appointment where we can both appear before the notary together. All fees and charges for the title transfer visit with the notary must be paid for by the buyer of the van. After the auction is closed out, I will require a $500.00 Paypal deposit to proceed with the sale, with the balance to be paid in cash or postal money orders before the title is transferred with the Notary. The vehicle is as described but it is 22 years old and I am selling it in "As Is" condition with no warranty or guarantee offered.
