This is the same truck as the Mitsubishi Mighty Max and has Mistsubishi drive line from factory! These were great trucks and its not uncommen to see them with 3 or 4 times the miles that this one has! They built theses babys tough and they do not make them like this any more and we consider this a great find! Major major major FRAME RUST.......so theres no confusion....MAJOR frame rust!frame would need to be replaced or an extremely ambitious welder fix.A good friend who is a welder by trade looked at it and said,WOW,but to make it a driveway plow truck he could make it work with some effort.Anything more than that would require a frame and its just not worth it.From the rear of the doors forward is not too bad,the worst of it is the front of the right rear spring where it mounts to the frame. I bought this to plow my home driveway,and the frame repair/replacement is beyond my desires. The previous owner was a little wooden boy with a very long nose.I wouldn't put anyone I remotely cared for in it. Mother in law?Maybe,but no one else. The shame of it is the truck runs fantastic has low miles,and everything works...4x4 hi and low automatic hubs,even the windshield washer works!The fuel injected 2.4 purrs ,clutch grabs good,trans is quiet,and the tires ( 4 new goodyear wranglers that i just washed the blue off the letters) are worth the buy it now....not to mention the plow setup,5 speed trans transfer case rear battery etc.....The plow was not on this truck but removed from an identical truck.Was told it is complete and working...but i don't know.You'll get the 6 1/2 foot blade which is power angle,the frame mount the V frame with lights and piston and a bucket of parts to install on this truck.If i can find a solid ram 50 or mighty max with mechanical problems,ill keep this and swap.If you have one this is a perfect option.Mechanically this little truck would go back and forth to California,but one good bump and you'll have 2 halves of 1 truck.Im not going to send pics of the frame etc...just assume the worst.Put it this way,it would blend right in on the deck of the Titanic. This truck has only had one single owner since new, and it has lived in the Dallas area since new. I have the original title showing that he purchased it on 4/7/1992 with 15 miles on the odometer. He was a member of the Turbo Diesel Register and I have a huge folder of receipts showing how well he maintained the truck, and also how much time and money he put into lightly upgrading the truck. There hasn't ever been a gooseneck or fifth wheel hitch installed, and the inside of the bed has a Rhino Liner and still looks new. The heaviest thing this truck ever pulled on occasion was a 16 ft. car trailer. All body panels are original. The weatherstripping and trim is all in good condition. The truck has been repainted once in its life due to the original paint peeling. There hasn't ever been any damage or rust anywhere on it. The paint looks good but it's not what I would call show quality. If you're picky I would plan on wet-sanding and buffing a few small areas. There are a few tiny hail dings on the roof and a few other tiny rock chips and such, but as you can see the truck shows extremely well. It looks and drives like a 38k mile truck should. I have all the original books and manuals, 3 ignition/door keys, original window sticker, delivery checklist, shipping order, factory service manual, Chilton service manual, lots of records and receipts, as well as the original title - all ready to go directly to the new owner. The Story: This is a very hard to find Cummins/6 Spd drive-train combo quad cab truck. This rig was used as a work truck but it was adult owned, never abused, non smoking and very well maintained. This truck has some dents, dings and scratches as you would expect from a work truck but is very tight mechanically. This truck starts, runs, shifts, drives and stops excellent in every way, it is a good tight, string running rig and it will not disappoint you. Options and Equipment: Has a very powerful 5.9L Cummins engine, 6 spd trans, 4WD, power windows/locks, tilt, AC, heated/power mirrors, keyless entry, cruise, fog lights, tow package, receiver hitch, seats 6, very clean non smoking gray cloth interior, good glass, a good set of matched Cooper AT tires on alloy rims and never any rust (still has factory frame stickers, see photos underneath) We installed 2 new batteries, gave this truck a full safety inspection, oil/filter change, checked all fluids, air filter, inspected the brakes and undercarriage, has been professionally cleaned inside etc. This is a used 11 year old work truck and as you would expect there are imperfections, scratches, dings, wear, etc. I am being very "nit-picky" on some of this stuff because I value my reputation/feedback. 2004 Pontiac GTO The GTO was reintroduced in 2004 after a thirty year absence from the Pontiac lineup. They were built by GM Holden Ltd, an Australian subsidiary of General Motors on a Holden Monaro VZ chassis on the limited import of around 15,000 units. Mine has just under 107k miles on it, and is the desired Black/Black with a 6-speed manual! Sometime in its life an RKSports Ram Air hood and aftermarket trunk spoiler were installed. It also has Longtube headers, free flowing dual exhuast and cat converter delete (these 3 items being not legal for on-road use in CA), it is loud...just the way it should be! Fitted with an aftermarket hurst shifter, it is very comfortable to shift, and really moves out if you choose to do so. If you want to smog this car in CA, then the headers will need to be replaced with smog legal ones and catalytic converters will need to be installed... but if you live any other place than smog nazi California then you`ll get to enjoy the way she sounds and the increased performance! I would trust her to drive anywhere in the country. I just put brand new tires on the front (only 100 miles on them), there are no check lights on the dash and it'll get in the low to mid 20's mpg if you keep your foot out of it. Comes with a clean and clear CA title in my name and ready for transfer. Cons/Needs: ~Has a small Oil leak (haven't diagnosed from where) ~Clear coat is starting to fail on roof/trunk and tops of the fenders ~Lots of rock chips & scratches on the frontend (see pic) ~Driver seat stitching coming apart (common on these) ~6 Disc CD player... ehhh, it sucks....barely works ~Front bumper lower grill is included (in the trunk) ~The gas gauge just quit working a week ago ~Needs rear tires... The Dodge Viper is Dodge's top end, two door, performance sports car. Originally debuted in 1992 as a production vehicle, the Dodge Viper is known as very serious, quick, traditional, and sleek street performance car. The Viper is produced with seating for only two, as performance and speed take priority over the possibility of more passengers. It includes wrap-around tail lamps and voluptuous body styling. A wrap around window and an optional convertible top allow it to be one of the most noticed cars on the road. The Viper comes with a 510-hp 8.3-liter aluminum-intensive V10, mated to a Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission, anti-lock brakes, and a viscous limited-slip differential. Unlike many competitors, the Viper is only available with a manual transmission, with little in the way of electronic driving aids. For 2006, the Viper has only minor changes. Since production is low, changes occur when the car is totally redesigned, which last occurred in 2003. The first was the original low-roof roadster with the terrible top mechanism and fussy side curtains, and later came the dramatic, race-winning, championship-caliber GTS coupe. The third is the 2006 convertible with a top that works, combined with the new coupe, both called SRT10s. We don't want to heap fault on the previous GTS Le Mans-winning coupe, but the new coupe feels about twice as good on the road and on the racetrack. The engineers at SRT, Dodge's in-house tuning company, Street and Racing Technology, have tuned up the coupe with a stiffer frame, a more competent, less thumpy chassis and suspension arrangement, and a few more creature comforts, without sanding off all of the Viper's visceral edges. Source: New Car Test Drive Walkaround The Viper SRT10 convertible is pretty sleek with its top up or down, but the new coupe is simply stunning, with its double-bubble roofline for helmet clearance, tucked-in taillamps and bawdy side exhausts. There is more bump to the rear fender tops, and the Viper sits nose-down and ready to rock with its big, big stickies mounted on five-spoke 18- and 19-inch wheels built for maximum brake cooling. The car is handbuilt around a central cage structure using various kinds of reaction-injected or sheet-molded plastic body panels, door skins, hood and decklid. The cage makes its presence known in the form of the very tall, wide central tunnel that houses the shifter, handbrake, and window switches, newly turned out in brushed metal instead of black plastic. They have left plenty of room for a roll cage inside the car. The first and second generation Vipers were pretty wavy here and there, but the plastic body panels on the Vipers we drove were straighter, flatter, better fitting, and more uniform than on any previous Viper, so they have apparently improved their plastic parts manufacturing processes while they were finding more power, more torque and more chassis stiffness. Source: New Car Test Drive Driving Impression The Dodge Viper is really, really quick, able to cover 0-60 mph in well less than 4 seconds flat, with 60-0 braking distance of less than 100 feet, better than a Porsche 911, and a 0-100-0 time of 12.5 seconds, which is 0.7 seconds quicker than the previous Viper and leads the league in under-$100,000 sports cars. It's got massive amounts of torque from 1000 to 6000 rpm, then you might as well shift up a gear and try it again. The new viscous limited-slip differential means both tires will leave rubber behind if you get too aggressive. The engine pulls from almost any rpm in any gear and will drive away in sixth from 1500 rpm. Thankfully, the throttle modulation on the Viper is very good, the clutch pedal is light, with a short pedal travel, and the six-speed manual needs a strong, precise hand for maximum driving rewards. One key to the Viper's performance is its monster tires, 275/35R18s in the front and 345/30R19s in the rear, special Michelin high-performance run-flat tires that eliminate the need to carry a spare, jack and lug wrench. Michelin has been the Viper tire supplier exclusively since Day One, and they continue to upgrade the wet and dry handling capabilities and torque handling capacity with each succeeding generation of tires. We can't say enough about the consistently excellent performance of the huge 14-inch four-piston Brembo antilock brakes. Combined with the giant footprints made by the tires, the brakes pull the 3500-pound Viper down from speed like it was a 150-pound race kart, all day long. The new steering system feels like it has been slowed down and calmed down a bit. It doesn't hunt around all the time like the original Viper did, but neither is it dull or slow, with a hefty weight and solid on-center feel, like an American sports car. SRT has arranged a static weight balance of 49.6 percent front, 50.4 percent rear, which is as close to 50/50 as you can get, and that helps make it turn in very forcefully. The suspension is near race-quality in terms of the way it keeps the body perpendicular to the road, but will not shake your nerves and rattle your brain until the road surface gets really grim. Source: New Car Test Drive Interior One thing the Viper doesn't lack for is interior room for two tall Americans and a little bit of stuff or luggage. On the convertible, there is a great deal more headroom than on the last folding-top Viper. The top goes up or down with one hand and latches easily. The 2006 Viper is almost a foot wider on the outside than the 2006 Corvette, but not all of that width translates into additional occupant space. It's not easy to get in or out of a Viper (or a Corvette, for that matter) with any grace, but once inside, there's plenty of comfort and lots to see. The form-fitting tall bucket seats will hold your upper body in the corners very well, and the seat will bump up against the rear wall when extended all the way back, and that's it. No more rear travel or recline. If you're very tall, you'll be more comfortable in the convertible. The floor pedals can be power-adjusted by a dashboard button through four inches of reach, a big improvement over the old manually adjustable pedals. The new instruments and controls are canted to the left in the new car, toward the driver, and you can see all the faces in one quick left-to-right sweep of the eyes. The large tachometer sits directly in front of the driver, to its right a smaller 220-mph speedometer (but 190 is more like it). All of the switches and vents are easier to see and reach. The throttle, brake and clutch pedals are closely spaced for heel-and-toe downshifting. A new feature is the dead pedal for your left foot, good for bracing in the corners at the race track or on your favorite country road. A returning feature is the use of acres of cheap plastic on the interior. Source: New Car Test Drive Summary One of the things you buy when you buy a Viper SRT10 is exclusivity. These cars are carefully handbuilt in Detroit, and there are only about 15,000 Vipers total after 13 years of production. That exclusivity, and the fact that it is less technically sophisticated than the much less expensive Corvette and probably more fun to drive because of it, must enter into any discussion of value and worth. The interior leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to material quality, fit and finish at these prices, but the rest of the car is more than ready to do battle. The 2006 Dodge Viper is quicker, faster, and more civilized than the previous car, among the fastest production cars sold in America. It is stiffer by far than the convertible, which leads to palpable improvements in steering, stability and handling. It is even more powerful and more torquey than the original V-10. The lightweight plastic body has more built-in downforce for high-speed handing. It is huge fun to drive approaching the limit, and then you really have to be careful. If we had the kind of discretionary income that it takes to own one of these cars, we'd buy one in a hot minute, put slicks on it, and take it to the nearest race track every weekend.
