Fourth-generation F-bodies delivered staggering performance at a very reasonable price when they were new, and today cars like this with their LT1 powerplants and surprisingly capable suspensions are shockingly fast and remarkably affordable. Painted bright red, this car is probably not going to help you avoid the local constabulary. But hey, for this price, you can probably afford a few speeding tickets anyway. The composite bodywork (except for the quarter panels) was all-new in 1992 and gave the Trans AM an instantly-identifiable but unique look that included the round fog lamps up front and a wrap-around rear spoiler that Trans Am fans recognized right away. The factory red paint still shines up nicely and thanks to that plastic bodywork, there are no dents or rust in the usual places. Perhaps a little stranger, the Pontiac guys decided to hold back on decals and strips, including the hood chicken, so this one shows pure menace instead of glamour. Fit and finish are factor-grade and as a clean, original, unmolested car, it still fits together quite well and shows years of conscientious cleaning and waxing. Tinted window certainly don't hurt and not even the chin spoiler or rocker panel ground effects show any major signs of age, so someone was really careful driving this car. Cloth upholstery in a Trans Am is a rather rare find, and if you're a performance driver, you know that it's the preferred seating surface of choice when going around corners is what you do. The gray cloth is in excellent condition with only light wear on the outer bolsters, as you'd expect. But for a car that's now more than 20 years old, the level of preservation is rather impressive. Even more impressive is what you get for your money, which is to say this car is loaded! A/C, power windows, locks, and seats, cruise control, and a driver's side airbag are all included. Instrumentation is comprehensive and the driving position is excellent, particularly compared to its immediate predecessor. The original Delco AM/FM/CD stereo remains in the center stack, and yes, that aluminum shifter is linked to a 6-speed manual transmission, the enthusiast's gearbox of choice. Clean carpets, an untouched back seat, and a very nicely finished trunk area round out a really impressive interior. The Trans Am borrowed the Corvette's 350 cubic inch LT1 V8. GM played games with the horsepower figures, but performance testing at the time pretty much confirmed that the F-bodies were every bit as potent under the hood. But what's truly remarkable about this car isn't the horsepower itself, but rather that one of the most modification-friendly engines ever built remains almost entirely stock in this car's case. From the curved air intake to the catalytic converter underneath, this one hasn't been "upgraded" and abused, but rather loved and properly maintained by three adult owners. A glance underneath offers more proof of clean living, as you can still see red overspray on the floors and no signs of rust damage or accidents, which is always a relief in a car with this much affordable power on tap. Power steering and 4-wheel disc brakes add to the Trans Am's user-friendly nature. The only notable modification is that set of spectacular chrome wheels, which were actually borrowed from a 2000 Trans AM and then fitted with 245/50/16 performance radials. Look the photos over carefully, then double-check that price and you'll find that getting this much performance in this condition for so little cash seems to make a lot of sense. 1968 Pontiac Firebird 350 survivor car with PHS documentation. It is has the numbers matching 350 2 bbl engine, all with correct heads, intake, exhaust manifolds, and carb. These are all correct date coded so I would assume they are also original to the block and car. The transmission is the 2 speed powerglide and the differential is the 2:56 stock setup. Odometer shows 16,571 but it is certainly not original. Likely 116,571 but that can't be verified by me. It's options include factory AM pushbutton radio w/manual ant., Deluxe wheel discs (shown in the last exterior pic), console floor shift, power steering, power brakes, soft ray glass, Paint is code G, April Gold, and interior is code 251, Gold. The car is incredibly original and complete with all original panels and floors. The car was repainted the original April Gold sometime before the second owner bought it in 1993. It still looks very nice with the expected small chip here or there. The interior is original as well and is in very good condition with only a small seam separation on the upper driver's seat back, and the rear seat back seams are stretching since they are in the sun more than the rest of the seat. Headliner is nice, visors are nice, virtually everything is original and impressive for a 49 year old car. The only detractors are the front kick panels are discolored from age. I'm the third owner of the car and bought it about a year ago from an elderly man in San Diego, Ca. It was originally sold by John Hine Pontiac in San Diego on 4/24/1968 by for $3411.75! The second owner bought it on 10/26/93 and also lived in San Diego. I have the original sales agreement from 1968, the factory owner's manual and warranty guide, the California title issued to the second owner in 1993, and the California black license plates that were on it from '68 until I brought it here to Missouri . As a side story...before I bought it, it was leased to Picture Car Warehouse in LA and was used in the second season of NBC's series, "Aquarius". It appeared in many of the episodes on exterior shots. The company needed to find a '68 Firebird with a vinyl top to recreate scenes for historical accuracy. They used a silicone material applied to the roof to look like a vinyl top. It worked pretty well but knowing that, I can tell it's not a true vinyl top car in the scenes on screen. I have documentation from Picture Car Warehouse, as well as pics and video clips of the appearances. The car runs and drives as good as it looks, but is far too original to do any modifications or upgrades. The only thing I've allowed myself to do to it is to change the wheels/tires to a set of restored Rally II wheels with new BF Goodrich Radial TAs. I have the original wheels with great whitewall tires, and the factory '68 wheel covers. All this comes with the car. I've tried to be thorough in my descriptions. For Sale: 1979 Pontiac Trans AM 6.6L T-Top This car is exceptionally nice! I purchased the car locally from an acquaintance who's father bought the car new off the showroom! It's a one-family car. All history accounted for and no stories! The original build and sales sheet is included with the car. This is an absolutely gorgeous car! Super straight. All original drivetrain (403ci 6.6L). Shows very well and gets a lot of attention on the road! The car was used as a daily driver during the beginning of it's life, hence the higher mileage on the engine. In 1993, the car became the show piece that it is today. The car was completely stripped to the metal and repainted in its original Mayan Red, and still looks absolutely amazing! Since that time, it has been a garage queen making appearances at local car shows and cruises only. This Trans Am is a perfect example of a fantastic driver! PAINT: Completely disassembled and professionally repainted in original Mayan Red in 1993. Not a single issue with the paint. Shines beautifully! Nothing to address. Super straight lines and sides. You may find two or three extremely small rock chips. But honestly, this car is damn near perfect! DRIVETRAIN: All original 403 cubic inch V8. Completely unmolested. The car fires right up on the first try and will take you anywhere. Idles nice and smooth at 700rpm. I don't ask much of it, because theres not a whole heck of a lot of power to begin with, but I cruise 80mph effortlessly. No struggles, hesitation, or complaints. She'll get up and go where ever you point her. The transmission is also the original automatic. No complaints there either. Shifts well and as you would expect. No noises or vibrations from the rear-end either. SUSPENSION: Front suspension has been completely rebuild. The car drives very smooth. No pulls, shakes, shimmies, etc... Perfect. Turns in nice. No slop in the steering. Super smooth and controlled at highway speed. INTERIOR: Carmine Red. The interior is in very nice condition. Gauges, lights, horn are working. The dash is in very good condition. The seats have recently been recovered with covers from Classic Industries. New headliner from Classic Industries. Very very nice. The only interior faults are the side panels in the rear are cracked and showing brittleness from age. Happy to provide pictures. Also, the original radio is in place but not kicking on. WHEELS: Wheels are original and look great. One of them has a few scratches on an area of the beauty ring. But otherwise, very very nice and with good BFG's. This is one really beautiful Trans Am. You can drive it anywhere without problems. Guaranteed to win your local car shows! On top of that, it's a one-family car with original build sheet! And a T-Top car!! Up for auction is a original 1969 Pontiac Firebird 400 4 speed car, that came with power front disc brakes, power steering, 10 bolt posi-traction rear end, and hood tach as some of the options. Exterior color of car was originally midnight green with dark green interior, with a wood grain 4 speed console. I bought this car in 1993. At that time it needed a full restoration however it did run and drive and the engine was rebuilt. The restoration was started in 1993 with full disassembly of the car. Floors were replaced, front end was all rebuilt with all new brakes, bushings, and bearings on the front suspension. New brake lines, new rear suspension bushings, and the underside was sprayed with POR 15. The engine got painted, and the Muncie 4-speed got refreshed, new clutch and pressure plate was installed. The body was media blasted then epoxy primed and prepped for the body work to start. Unfortunately this is where the work stopped on the car. It sat in the garage at this stage for many years, then it was forced out of the garage and has sat outside the last few years. The car comes with new front and rear chrome bumpers, rocker panels, 400 hood, a front fender patch panel, and more new parts that where bought for the car. The car is pretty solid, floors are good, the original trunk floor is still good, and the frame rails are solid. It will need quarter panels, rocker panels which are included, a upper dash panel, fenders and doors need body work, one spot on the roof as shown in pictures. The M21 Muncie 4 speed and the rear end are original numbers matching to the car, and the 400 block is a original 1969 block but not numbers matching to the car. Has a clear NY state registration. Steering wheel audio controls were included with optional uplevel cassette or compact disc stereo systems. Beginning in 1994, "Delco 2001"-series stereo systems replaced the previous Delco units.[19]:898 This revised series, also introduced for other Pontiac car lines, featured ergonomically-designed control panels with larger buttons and an optional seven-band graphic equalizer. 1994 also marked the first year the fourth-generation convertible was available; every Firebird (and Camaro) convertible featured a glass rear window with a built-in electric defroster. The 1995 models were the same as those of previous years, but traction control (ASR: Acceleration Slip Regulation) was now available for LT1 Firebirds, controllable by a switch on the console. The steering wheel in all Firebirds was also changed; its optional built-in audio controls were more closely grouped on each side. The "Trans Am GT" trim level was dropped this year from the lineup after its model year run in 1994. For 1995, all Trans Ams received the 155-mph speedometer and Z-rated tires. 1995 was also the first year of the vented version of the Opti-Spark distributor on LT1 F-cars, addressing a common mechanical fault with the unit. The 'Transmission Perform' button was available only in the 1994 and 1995 Formula and Trans Am. This option was stopped for the 1996 and later models, but the connections remain for 1996 and 1997 Formula and Trans Am. While 1995 cars still used the OBD-I (On-Board Diagnostic) computer system (the last year of F-body to use OBD-I), a majority of them had OBD-II connector ports under the dash. Firebird performance levels improved for 1996, with the establishment of the stronger 200-hp 3.8 L V6 as the new base engine, and the power rating of the LT1 increased to 285 in 1996, due to its new dual catalytic-converter exhaust system. 1996 was also the first year of the OBD-II computer system. Optional performance enhancements were available for each Firebird trim level; the Y87 Performance packages for V6s added mechanical features of the V8 setups, such as four-wheel disc brakes, faster-response steering, limited-slip rear differential, and dual tailpipes.[19]:904 For Formulas and Trans Ams, functional dual-inlet "Ram Air" hoods returned as part of the WS6 performance package. The optional package boosted rated horsepower from 285 to 305, and torque from 325 lb·ft to 335. Also included were 17" x 9" wheels with 275/40ZR17 tires, suspension improvements, oval dual tailpipe tips, and a WS6 badge. Bilstein shocks were a further option with the package. The 1997 model year introduced standard air conditioning, daytime running lamps (utilizing the front turnsignal lamps), digital odometers, and optional 500-watt Monsoon cassette or compact disc stereo systems to all Firebird trim levels.[19]:907 For V6 Firebirds, a W68 Sport Appearance Package was also introduced as a counterpart to the Camaro RS trim level. The time has come to put my 2000 Trans Am up for sale. I would love to keep the car, but after purchasing a townhome last year I don't have the room for it. The car is in excellent condition and has been very well maintained all its life. The car is a 2000 Firebird Trans Am, optioned with the 5.7L LS1 V8 and an automatic 4L60E transmission. The car has the removable T-Top that gives you the feel of a convertible with the looks of a hardtop. The car is Pewter in colour and has the desirable Ebony leather interior that is in good condition. Drivetrain: The LS1 pulls hard. The car has a couple of light modifications and puts out about 375hp and 375lb ft of torque. The car has long tube headers hooked up to a Magnaflow stainless catback exhaust. This gives the car a very aggressive muscle car tone. It sounds excellent under heavy throttle, but still relatively tame while cruising. I added a brand new K&N filter last year, and changed the spark plugs. The automatic transmission shifts well, as it should. Exterior: As for exterior modifications, the car has a few slight changes. Most notable is the WS6 hood that I installed. It is a high-quality fiberglass WS6 hood with Firehawk vents that I had professionally painted. The fitment is as good as factory and the paint is a flawless match to the rest of the car. The rear valance has been painted in a semi-gloss black similar to the 2002 CETA cars, and is finished off with a pair of the large polished Magnaflow exhaust tips. The exterior is overall in excellent shape. The car had a $500 paint correction done this and the paint looks excellent. There are no swirl marks at all – the car does not show its age at all. There are a few medium-sized marks in the paint, and a little clear coat peeling on the front bumper. The car has a few small scuffs as you would expect. The car does not have any significant dings. Wheels & Tires: The car comes with a set of Corvette Z06 wheels with machined lips and gloss black centres. The front wheels are 17”x9.5” and the rear wheels are 18”x10.5”. The wheels are straight and true, and are in o.k. condition. The faces are in good condition, but some of the wheels have some curb rash, and one has a bit of paint beginning to peel. The wheels are wrapped 275/40/17 Nitto 555 tires up front, while the back are large 285/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The front tires have good tread depth and the back will pass a safety test, but will need to be replaced eventually. Interior: The interior is in average shape. The car has the “Ebony” interior that includes spotless black carpets and black leather 6-way adjustable power driver and passenger seats. The seats are in good condition, although the the driver's seat is starting to wear on the bolster and in the seat area. The dash board is cracked, and the passenger door panel does have a small crack - typical on any 1993+ Firebird. All the gauges, electronics, radio, power antenna, seats etc. function as they should with the passenger window being a tad slow, as most Firebirds are. The windows have been tinted, and they are quite dark. It gives the car a nice look from the exterior, but doesn’t cause any visibility issues. The driver’s side window does have a scratch in the tint. The car also comes with a set of embroidered Trans Am floor mats in the front. General Remarks: All the items on the car work as they should: the A/C is cold, the heat is warm, the headlights go up & down perfectly, the doors lock & unlock, it shifts well, pulls hard, and sounds great. There are some small marks in the paint, but the car does not show its age. Overall this is a very clean, powerful, and tastefully and lightly modified LS1 Trans Am. It comes with the good looks of a WS6 car with the Ram Air hood, and an aggressive set of Corvette wheels instead of the boring stock 16” ones.

80's icon is looking for a caring home! Honestly, I really love this car - it's my EIGHTH Trans Am since 1996. I've enjoyed numerous road trips: Route 66 and twice across the country from Michigan to Southern California and back. I took it too countless classic car shows and enjoyed compliments and thumbs up wherever this car appears. But it's like Huey Lewis sang in the 80's "I want a new drug", it felt it was time to get a new baby and to say Goodbye to my Trans Am. Boys don't grow up - their toys just getting bigger, right? This impeccably cared for, antiseptically clean Trans Am is ready for it's next set of enthusiasts hands to appreciated this rare, mint 80's muscle. Don't keep it hidden in the garage - it was born to hug the road! This Trans Am was assembled on Sept. 29th, 1984 as an early '85 model at the GM Norwood plant in Ohio. Before I bought this Michigan car with less than 31.000 miles, it had been stored by the first owner for more than 15 of it's 23 years in a garage, not running and never saw winter in it's entire life. The second owner just flipped it, the third owner bought this Firebird as a hobby car and only drove it to classic car shows. Because of that, it took a complete technical overhauling to turn back this well kept trailer queen into a flashy 80's Muscle machine: - Brake system new (incl. ER brake cable, wheel brake cylinders, lines now stainless steel) - Alternator new- Starter motor new - Water pump new - Head revised/refined (new GM performance intake/outlet valves, new vacuum line system, head gasket replaced, Rochester QuadraJet carburetor overhauled) - New rear sway bars - Headliner replaced - Transmission mount replaced - Headlights upgraded with stronger H4 conversion kit - Front side markers now clear - All lift supports (hood/hatch) replaced Majority of paint is original, however a few areas showed common factory paint defects (a result of GM's infamous mid-80's quality) that were professionally refinished. The body is clean, no rust, no cracks or fade in the plastic trim. The Concorde inspired dash is in perfect, unwarped shape! For a car almost 31 years old, it looks awesome. More than awesome actually - you don't see this quality level of a car anywhere but in a museum. With the assembly line not quite ready yet for the big '85 model year changes (GM just threw cars together with what was available to keep the assembly line running), the Trans Am ended up being built with a wild mix of two different model years: The restyled '85 body (front fascia, aero skirting, dams, vents, smoked taillights) and dashboard (gauges with new grid pattern design) but with an '84 vinyl interior, WS6 suspension but without rear disc brakes and an L69 "H.O." V8 instead the LG4 engine. The production codes don't match any of the GM records for '84 or '85. This Trans Am is truly unique - you won't find a second one made in this configuration by factory. There is even a handwritten production line note on the inner fender well - of the exact time/date of manufacture - all perfectly preserved. The L69 V8 (4 BBL QuadraJet carburetor, 190 hp with Regular, 210 with Premium gas) is attached to a Turbo-Hydramatic 700 R4 four speed automatic and was totally overhauled in 2014 (no leaks, no smoke). The transmission shifts smooth, the A/C blows ice-cold, everything works including the power antenna and the original concealed headlight motors. The weather stripping and all rubber seals are in good condition, the interior is spotless (non smoker car) with no cracks/tears in the seats, the dash cover has no cracks, the carpet is clean and intact (no holes, no wear through). The original Delco radio still works, the car comes with the rare glass T-Tops and storage bag, even the original floor mats are there. The 235/60-15 Cooper Cobras are in good condition, the 15x7" Diamond Spoke Cross lace wheels are clean and have no scratches. Everything is well documented from the first owner to the present day, the title is clean, the car has never had an accident. Even for current standards, this Trans Am is a still quite a fast car, but also a very comfortable Grand Touring Coupe (I crossed the US twice with this car and enjoyed every mile). I guarantee you'll enjoy the countless compliments (and you'll get a lot, this car is a head-turner and jaw dropper!). No repairs expected, it's 31 yeas old - all you need to do is to turn the key and drive into YOUR 80's paradise. Between 1982 and 1993, Pontiac assembled 313,003 third generation Trans Ams, fewer than 34.000 survive - this is the right time to grab one of the last iconic 80's Trans Am that is already a very rare sight on the streets. Brian, North Carolina - 1996 Viper GTS I had been wanting a Shelby gt500 since they started coming back out. it took me many years to save the money needed to buy this car. I always wanted the grabber blue with white stripes. When I found the one D&M had for sale I knew I wanted the car because it was 2010 grabber blue with red stripe ( never seen the combo before ) I always said I would never buy a car sight unseen but everything just felt right. During that time I have had over 12 Corvettes and during the last 3 years I have been collecting High end classic cars. After working on a friends Corvette I got the bug to get another Corvette. I went to the internet site of D&M Motorsports . Their site has all High Def photos that are taken by a professional photographer and I found a pristine 1993 40th Anniversary Corvette with only 1,300 documented miles. I went up to D&M and Dave handled the sale. We settled on a price and I purchased the car that day. Because of the low miles on the car Dave arranged with Mike to deliver the car in an enclosed trailer to my home. Mike is the President & owner of D&M yet he took the time to deliver the car himself. In 67 years I have never taken the time to write a review on anyone, but D&M is truly special. Kevin & Angie were also fun to talk with and my entire experience was like hanging out with good friends. I went back to pick up my plates and ended up buying a 2001 Vette. The truly unusual part of this deal was Mike took my pristine 1940 Chevy coupe in on trade. Either you're so mad at the product or the seller you write a scathing report or you're so enthralled 2 days after you buy you gush with enthusiasm. No one seems to take the time to evaluate and come to a proper review to help the people looking for information. So I hope my words will be of value for a potential customer. I started looking for a Corvette in October of 2013 all over the Midwest and D & M Motorsports was just one of the dealers I pestered for 4 months, in those months I met with Angie and Dave checking out the cars I previously viewed and all their new arrivals. At no time was I pressured to purchase and every meeting was cordial and all my questions were answered no matter how long it took. In February 2014 they got in the car I wanted and I made an offer they agreed too and with the contingency I could have the car checked out. Not only did they agree to my terms they even stored the car for a month till the weather broke and at no charge. The whole experience was 1st class and I was never treated better by a dealer new or used. I believe you have to remember you are dealing with used cars and anything can happen, which is not necessarily the fault of the seller. The only thing that I had to go on was provided pics over the web and a friendly voice on the other end of the line. But I assure you in a world of small shifty dealerships these guys are NOT THAT! I trust them (which is something that I never thought that I would say about a car dealer). The 2005 lotus that they sold me looks the same if not better sitting in my garage as they did in the pictures. The car runs great and is mint! I always wanted the grabber blue with white stripes. During that time I have had over 12 Corvettes and during the last 3 years I have been collecting High end classic cars. After working on a friends Corvette I got the bug to get another Corvette. I went to the internet site of D&M Motorsports . Their site has all High Def photos that are taken by a professional photographer and I found a pristine 1993 40th Anniversary Corvette with only 1,300 documented miles. I went up to D&M and Dave handled the sale. We settled on a price and I purchased the car that day. Because of the low miles on the car Dave arranged with Mike to deliver the car in an enclosed trailer to my home. Mike is the President & owner of D&M yet he took the time to deliver the car himself. Either you're so mad at the product or the seller you write a scathing report or you're so enthralled 2 days after you buy you gush with enthusiasm. I always wanted the grabber blue with white stripes. When I found the one D&M had for sale I knew I wanted the car because it was 2010 grabber blue with red stripe ( never seen the combo before ) I always said I would never buy a car sight unseen but everything just felt right. During that time I have had over 12 Corvettes and during the last 3 years I have been collecting High end classic cars. After working on a friends Corvette I got the bug to get another Corvette. I went to the internet site of D&M Motorsports . Their site has all High Def photos that are taken by a professional photographer and I found a pristine 1993 40th Anniversary Corvette with only 1,300 documented miles. I went up to D&M and Dave handled the sale. We settled on a price and I purchased the car that day. Because of the low miles on the car Dave arranged with Mike to deliver the car in an enclosed trailer to my home. Mike is the President & owner of D&M yet he took the time to deliver the car himself. Either you're so mad at the product or the seller you write a scathing report or you're so enthralled 2 days after you buy you gush with enthusiasm. I started looking for a Corvette in October of 2013 all over the Midwest and D & M Motorsports was just one of the dealers I pestered for 4 months, in those months I met with Angie and Dave checking out the cars I previously viewed and all their new arrivals. At no time was I pressured to purchase and every meeting was cordial and all my questions were answered no matter how long it took. In February 2014 they got in the car I wanted and I made an offer they agreed too and with the contingency I could have the car checked out.
