I hate this, but I have to sell it. Myself and many experts took their time, bought OEM, TRD, or high quality parts. I have everything TR made except the short throw shifter. I have over $14k invested in this. I built it for autocross, but I don't race. I just wanted a dynamite looking car that few people have. I have 98% of the receipts. Here is a build sheet. Everything was bought new. I have no problems out of this car. It's a tank. You'll get at least two thumbs up from other driver per week. Engine has a double plenum and rides on rails around turns. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Build sheet of 1993 MR2; 5 speed manual, SUNROOF up, TRD radiator cap, TRD oil cap, Mishimoto aluminum radiator, new fans and shroud, K&N filter, Berk style exhaust system (one of the best exhaust tones you will find), no catalytic converters or EGR system (frees up power), recent radiator fluid change, Mobile1 oil changes every 3000. Suspension: TRD lowering springs, TRD front and rear sway bars, TRD front and back strut bars, Tokico 5 way adjustable shocks, polyurethane bushings(full kit used), new inner and outer tie-rods(front and back), new ball joints all around, new sway bar rods, Gunmetal 5Zigen rims (Very close to body color)-7”front with Yokohama S-Drives (215/40R 17) 8”rear with Yokohama S-Drives (245/40R/17). Brakes: Brand new high-end drilled rotors all around, brand new ceramic brake pads, brand new rear calipers (fronts are perfect), stainless steel brake lines all around. Power steering: New Main steering computer ($800), secondary computer, ps relay is original (I have an extra), new ps pump, new ps rack-Total for just power steering-over $3000. Spare tire kit: Present. Interior: Black-all plastic dash and console parts replaced, TRD shift knob, Infinity speakers all around, Xplode CD/radio with IPod cord in glove box, gauge cluster was replaced with a used one, black crush-velvet seat and door cards (very comfortable), new driver window motor, new mats, newer rubber pedal covers, TRD carbon fiber tag. Ice-cold AC. New button. New brake light switch. Exterior: I saved the exterior for last. It has a gunmetal paint job. It has a few dings but nothing serious (you won’t need body parts), 95 tail lights and one-piece spoiler, 35% carbon tint, 98 clear front signal lights, shaved front bumper and debadged front and rear. I have 95% of the receipts for all parts. I love this car and I'm in no hurry to sell it. I built this car with no expense spared. This thing is a real head turner. There are only about 15,000 left on the road, period. I’m 40, I fell last year and I have a lot of trouble getting in and out. It’s like being in an airplane cockpit. It’s very safe feeling. I’m asking $9,000 obo. Forgot to add: this was originally a California car...so, NO RUSTtrimPPS: Forgot: New under window outer trim, brake light switch, floor mats, and all four rear brake lights light up as I used the original wire harness-Popular mod. Also new E brake cable, and 35% carbon tint, and turbo engine cover, as well as a new lighter. All t tops leak. This is the coveted sunroof version. Car and all would cost $16,000 to replicate. TRD doesn't make parts for this anymore. This was built right. You'd be passing on a steal.

It does not show its age, partially because it has almost always been garaged (including covered parking at work) and it has been used almost exclusively as a commuter car for me and the previous owner (both adult owners). There are no dents or major scratches and no history of accidents. This car has been my daily commuter for 12 years, and it has been a textbook example of Toyota reliability. The car is solid (not clicks or squeaks) and built to last. With its mid-engine placement it’s always fun to drive. Other than the CD and possibly the cassette player, everything works. It runs strong, A/T shifts smooth, the A/C blows cold, the headlights and windows work flawlessly. The rear-view mirror motors work, cruise control works, and even the emergency break and clock still function properly. Also, the sunroof includes a roof cover (to keep out heat and UV rays), and the sunroof can also be removed if desired. Original paint. The front tires are new (rear tires are a couple years old). Car passed CA smog, clean title is in hand, and car is ready to be driven anywhere.The 1993 MR2 1993 MR2s are exceptionally rare, with fewer than 3,000 being sold in the U.S. There’s no telling how many remain, but a quick check on AutoTrader shows only 3 available for sale in the U.S. Unlike the more common 91-92 models, the 1993 features wider rear tires, different wheel design, and different/lower suspension.

Up for sale is one of Prime's personal MR2's. This is a 2-owner unmolested adult driven/owned 1993 MR2 turbo in the rare 93 only color of light blue metallic. The car is featuring a Gen5 3SGTE engine swap. The Gen5 is the newest 3SGTE engine you can buy and this engine came from a 2003 Toyota Caldina. The Gen5 differs from the Gen4 with a different valve cover, intake manifold, and injector style . To get the Gen5 engine to run, we wired it to operate on Gen4 electronics and ECU. The Gen5 ECU is an immobilized ecu and cannot be made operational. So essentially this is a Gen4 engine with a different intake manifold and valve cover. Everything works on the car. This car is fully loaded from the factory with T-Tops, leather, power steering and ABS, TDSE. The interior is in great overall shape with no burn holes or damaged/hacked surfaces. The driver seat has obvious wear as shown in the pics. Overall, the car drives excellent for it's age with no creaks, rattles or groans. The paint is all original except for the driver side headlight cover. In regards to the exterior of the car, the bumpers and spoiler have faded like most original MR2s and there is a long scratch on the driver side. All of this is indicated in the pictures. Other than the imperfections, the paint shines up nicely. This MR2 benefits from all the upgrades of the 1993 model year. This is a car you just cannot find any more. This 1993 MR2 is a great and fun car to drive. This car has been driven in the summer since I have owned it. We've been taking it to car shows there aren't many left with low miles and are still OEM in nature. The timing belt was changed at 110k miles. It has a new Napa belt assembly that goes with the car all new stuff I have will go with the car. We've put less than 1600 miles on the car. The body is good, no rust it was painted the way I liked it. I need the parking space and will miss the car. I've have had no problems with the car. You just get in it and go no problems. We sell parts from lesser cars but when we get our hands on cars that are in great shape we go through them completely and upgrade where we think it is needed have professional paint done right and pass them on to others to enjoy. This was just such a car that came with a JDM engine with 50 to 60 K miles and the guy we bought it from had another project he was wanting to finish. We could not part this car. It was well taken car of without rust and no signs of any major accidents. The car is truly a great example that is lowered a bit and has the adjustable shocks for your ride preference. I just don't see how one could be disappointed with this car in this condition.
