My 1994 Chrysler LeBaron is a VERY nice, 21 year old, classic convertible. It has 121600 miles, and everything, (and I do mean EVERYTHING), is new. This car is an EXTREMELY dependable everyday driver, or a perfect candidate for a restoration. Mechanically, this car is as sound as a new one. There are no engine leaks, and the car does not burn oil. It starts and runs perfectly. We bought the car from my wife's brother in May of 2012 with 106,400 miles on it. I have had the following work done on it...Since the A/C wasn't working that first summer, it got new hoses, evaporator & condensor. That fall the heating wasn't working properly, so I had a VERY THOROUGH acid flush done of the entire system. It also has a new starter and water pump. The second winter, the heating was acting up again, so it got a new radiator and hoses. Brake job included new calipers. The tires have less than 4,000 miles on them. The heat and A/C work flawlessly. I have paperwork for all of these repairs. Obviously, since all of this work has been done after I purchased it, it has all been done in the last 15,000 miles. Cosmetically, it needs some attention as Chrysler back then was notorious for bad paint jobs. The pictures show a lot of paint has peeled off of the hood, but the hood has NO RUST AT ALL! The entire car is very sound. Convertible top works great. The little rubber boot around the gear shift got brittle and needs replacing. There is very minimal rust, and it truly is surface rust that has just bubbled up the paint. Nowhere has it rusted through. The metal in that area is solid and quite workable. Overall, this car is extremely dependable, and currently needs NO mechanical repairs. Please look at all of the pictures, as they are part of my description since I'm NOT an expert on everything I sell. I try to show AND describe any damage. The only thing this car needs is a new timing belt and a battery and the back window needs to be set or replaced and cleaned up. Once you give it a new timing belt and battery this car will run great for you. At this time the car is not running because it needs the belt and battery . I have never had any problems with this car it rides great and with the top down its even nicer. The paint job on the car is fading on the hood and the Trunk hood as you will see on the images every where else on the car the paint looks good. The left tale light has a crack needs to be replaced the convertible top is in great condition no tears or rips. Inside the car looks great everything looks good no rips no tears. It can sit 6 People. The tires on the car look pretty good The Mileage on the car is 127499 . This would be a great car to own if you know how to install a timing belt and do some maintenance this would make a great first car for your teenager to have or for your self very nice. Vehicle starts, engine is good, but it needs a transmission. IT IS NOT DRIVEABLE. I am the 2nd owner (I think), I bought it in 2002 & have not driven it much, it's been parked in the garage when not being driven:Here are all points good & bad:Good - Exterior: very good shape, no accidents & I repainted it several yrs ago. Int: upholstery & carpet is in good condition, no tears. Top works & seals well. I have a car cover for it I'll throw in for free, CLEAR TITLE. This car can pull a trailer if you have a hitch.Bad: Needs transmission, Back glass window needs to be re-glued to the top, Small back left window doesn't go up & down (I think it's off the track). Back left interior light (the one at your feet if you were sitting in the back) got hot & melted partly, the plug the light bulb goes into needs to be replaced, maybe the plastic cover, that is a cheap little plastic part.I'm sure there are other points good & bad but that is the major stuff.I took it to a transmission specialist about 4-5 months ago and he quoted me to replace the transmission with parts labor & warranty about $1,350.If you do not want to repair this vehicle, it would make a great parts car.
