This car is a rare 94 XR2 Turbo. Less than 400 XR2 versions were made world wide in 1994, and only 27 were dark charcoal metallic. The good: the car has a very solid body and driver quality paint the color is slightly lighter than original but looks good. Has a new top and new interior (high quality vinyl, not leather). The car runs great. It has a lifter that sticks for a minute upon start up, but stops pretty quickly. The car has a new canvas top (higher quality than original vinyl). The bad: Someone covered a small dent on the driver side quarter with some body filler and it is cracking out, so the quarter will need to be re-sprayed. Also it needs two new front tires. Finally, the air needs recharged. I did it myself last year and it lasted all season. All in all its a great car.
This is a 1994 Mercury Capri XR2 convertible in great condition. It has a great body other than some bodywork that is cracking on the driver side quarter panel that I didn't know was there. Looks as if there was a dent that was filled in. The car has driver quality paint (it's been repainted somewhere along the way), and it has a new canvas convertible top. The car runs excellent. Because of the bodywork I'm re-listing with a lower price. 1994 was the last year of the Australian built Capri, and only 366 XR2 turbos were produced. Of that 366, only 27 were painted dark charcoal. This is one of the 27 and is a rare Capri. No warranty is given with this car. It has served me well and has not given me any trouble at all. I am selling it as is. However, everything works as it should, and the car is a blast to drive.
