I bought this car from a close friend of mine who had the car in his family from 97. This is essentially a two owner car as I JUST registered it last week and only owned the car for two months. The car needed some TLC which I committed to and did upon purchase. It JUST rolled 179k so the work listed below is all recent and documented. I literally spent $3500 on getting the car restored mechanically to its previous glory and an additional $1800 on the wheels and tires. This was enthusiast owned its entire life. It pulls hard and fire's right up at each start. It has ZERO engine, transmission, or electronic malfunctions (besides a bulb out light from the HIDs). Literally every single feature in the car (sunroof, heated seats front and rear, cluster gauges, radio, speakers, AC, heat, etc) work without issue. I have a stack of records and the original window sticker from when he bought the car CPO in 1997. For those of you who don't know this is a one of 5 color combo in 95. The car comes with Factory Bose, Locking diff, and is hard to come by in this condition and as a turn key car. The good: The body is rock solid. There is zero undercarriage rust, zero front fender rust, zero door rust, every bushing is good, etc. The car pulls like a freight train. It idles smooth and hauls ass. It's a RARE color combo for an S6 and the body interior are all original (no rolled fender/quarter or bondo here). It has nice modifications that are hard to come by and expensive. The AC and Heat both work properly. The car is mechanically sorted and needs nothing. The interior is 9/10 (the headliner sags but besides that the interior, leather, seats, etc are flawless). The bad: The paint isn't perfect. It has some minor clear coat issues on the driver side fender, a dime size paint chip on the passenger side fender that is browning but not rusting yet, and the front bumper could use a repaint. There are one or two hail dings in the hood and the passenger rear door/quarter have a minor dent all which I was quoted $400 to PDR. This needs to be done if the new owner wants the car 100% perfect but I am a picky SOB and know I could get it cleaned to the point that I would be satisfied with it. The rear suspension functions perfectly but it is a bit clunky because it is missing rubbers for the springs. The gas tank smells a bit if you fill the car which I'm assuming means it needs a re-seal (Under 3/4 a tank you get no smell). The passenger side rear door needs to be looked at because the inside door handle seems disconnected. The driver side heated seat doesn't work (may just be disconnected I never checked). Price: $7800 with all included extras or $6500 with stock wheels and without extras. I am not interested in debating the price with people and will ignore stupid offers. The car is reasonably priced for what the new owner gets (mainly the peace of mind). Someone can offload the stock wheels and the 993 brakes and get back $1000 of their money without any issues. It was available as a sedan, coupe, convertible, and a station wagon throughout its history, though the sedan was the most prominent option. With front-wheel drive standard and the option of four-wheel drive in its Quattro trim, the Audi wasn't an extremely powerful car, but it did have options, a distinctive look, and luxury interior features that appealed to the U.S. market. The 1993 version of the Audi 90 was assembled in Germany and Japan and featured a 2.8-liter 172 horsepower V6 engine, available with either a four-speed automatic transmission or a five-speed manual. Fuel economy was decent for the time at about 18/26 mpg for the automatic. The car was a bit cramped, and although it could seat five, this was easier said than done. The Audi 90's main points of differentiation in comparison to the Audi 80 were a slightly stronger engine and more updated features. The Audi 90 was launched as an improved version of the Audi 80 in 1984. While the Audi 80 was still available, buyers who chose the 90 would enjoy a different front grille, refined exterior features, and a more powerful engine. The difference between the 80 and the 90 became more notable in 1984. Eventually, the Audi 90 became the dominant brand and the 80 name was discontinued in North America. The Audi 90 name was discontinued in 1992 in North America, and the Audi A4 took over for the 90 as the prominent mid-size luxury sedan in Audi's lineup. Three trim levels were available for later versions of the Audi 90, including a standard trim, an upgraded CS that featured a better interior and more electronic features, and the CS Quattro Sport. This last trim was the four-wheel drive version of the Audi 90, popular in certain climates, although the 170 horsepower engine meant that Audi buyers generally weren't interested in a ton of power or towing, so other trim options were more successful. Options like leather seats and a power sunroof made the Audi a popular car, even through the early 1990s, and it was lauded as a dependable and relatively safe vehicle thanks to late introduction of standard passenger airbags. It is rare in the sense that only about 600 S-6 Avants were imported into the US. 1995 was the last model year that the 5 cylinder engine was sold in the US. This is the last of the great Audis with a 2.2L turbo engine (AAN) that took Audi to the world rally championship way back in the day. Rock solid engines if maintained and handle 350-400hp happily. The good:Despite its age the car feels very solid and the interior is in great shape. It has 242k miles, but if you look around these cars can go for another 100k if taken care of. I've tried to show the whole car in the photos.I believe the cruise control doesn't work. This is usually a pretty simple fix. The radio doesn't get the best reception. I haven't been able to figure out why. FM works well enough, but AM is not working at all. The Driver's seat has the usual wear but no holes or rips. Pictures show the seat's condition.The sunroof dial is getting temperamental. It sometimes needs more than one turn to open/close.
