My affection with the 67 through 70 Eldorado's all started with this exact car way back in October of 1994 in Spokane Washington. I was transferred to Fairchild Air Force Base from Plattsburgh AFB in upstate New York in October 1994. As soon as I arrived I started looking for a car. I almost immediately found this car. I remember not even knowing what model it was. I was simply struck with its condition and beauty. I purchased it off the original owner within 30 minutes of looking at it. It had 61,100 original miles on it at that time. For the next 2 years I drove it almost everyday except for the times I was deployed out of country for temporary duty. In June 1996 with a heavy heart I sold it as I separated from the military and headed back east for a job. I never forget the car and spent the next 18 years wondering what happened to it. Well about 5 years ago I started looking for it with no luck. Then just as I was giving up I found it out of sheer luck and immediately purchased it back. Hard to believe but all the notes I made on the car way back in the day I kept. It had only accrued an additional 224 miles since that day in June 1996 when I sold it, therefore, it was identical to the day I sold it way back in the mid nineties. It still had my personal license plate frames on it and my black fuzzy dice hanging off the mirror. It is now part of a 5 car Eldorado collection I am selling. Well, it's got all the right ingredients: great colors, excellent preservation, just 17,446 original miles, the top-of-the-line powerplant, and every available option. And oh, yeah, one other thing: it's very affordable today. You probably can't get a nicer luxury car for less money than this. The Eldorado Touring Coupe was rather awkwardly branded the "ETC" but that does nothing to diminish its handsome look. The long hood, short deck theme is still in evidence, but the sleek roofline with the almost fastback rear window gives it an updated look that was perfect for the late '90s. Basic black is the quintessential Cadillac color, and on the Touring Coupe, almost everything was covered in it: grille, bumpers, mirrors, door handles, everything. You do get a chrome band around the center of the car and a white pinstripe to break it up, but this is one sinister yet elegant Cadillac. Of course, with so few miles, it's in excellent condition, with a deep gloss that proves that you got your money's worth with a $50,000 Cadillac. The chin hasn't been beaten up by parking lot curbs and driveway aprons and panel gaps are excellent throughout. We never realized just how good Cadillacs were back in the 1990s. Black leather lines the interior of the Touring Coupe, and it's arguably one of GM's very best designs. A sweeping instrument panel with Zebrano wood inserts makes it feel airy despite the acres of black hides, and there's a center console that helps to warm the place up a bit. Every single option was included on this car, including power windows, locks, seats, and mirrors, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a trip computer neatly integrated into the instrument panel display. The leather seats are in almost new condition, the carpets are unmarked thanks to heavy-duty mats, and the wood trim has a brilliant gloss that matches the bodywork. Everything works, of course, and it's so quiet in here that you can hear the minute differences in the AM/FM/CD stereo system compared to your other cars. The back seat is big enough for real-sized adults and the trunk is Cadillac huge with a cargo net and built-in CD changer. Cadillac's "Northstar" 4.6 liter V8 engine was a big deal in the 1990s, representing the brand's first attempt at a truly world-class powerplant. With 300 horsepower on tap and an equal amount of torque, it moves the luxurious coupe like a muscle car, not a luxury barge. They've also proven to be bulletproof reliable, and this one has a lot of life left in it, with just over 17,000 original miles on it. The engine bay is neatly dressed and it's all original, of course. It starts with a muscular bark from the dual exhaust pipes and thanks to a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, pulls down surprisingly good fuel economy out on the road. The all-independent suspension was tuned a little sportier than the standard Eldorado but it's still smooth and luxurious, and standard 4-wheel disc brakes instill confidence. Optional chrome alloy wheels look brilliant against the black paint and are fitted with brand new 235/60/16 Vogue gold line tires, and you know how expensive those are. You'd be surprised how much fun this Eldorado is to drive, and the luxury features stack up well with today's cars. If you want a high-quality V8 luxury car at an economy car price, good luck finding one nicer than this. 100% high performing steel and sex appeal! This is a really clean 1996 Eldorado Touring Coupe. The head gasket issues and the oil leaks have been freshly repaired. We installed the SuperStar Stud System in this diamond to totally eradicate your head gasket concerns. Having the cyclinder heads sent to our local machine shop and installing a complete upper end headset were part of the repair. We also did a complete reseal on this engine. The complete reseal includes splitting the block in half and resealing the lower crankcase, then we install a new oil manifold and seal it, we reseal the oil pan, rear main seal, and lastly the front crank seal or timing cover seal. We thoroughly checked and verified the bottom end components of this machine. We solely specialize in the repair of the Northstar engine. This engine was made to do 300k mi - 400k mi. easily but the head gasket problem has made this great engine notorious. The radiator, thermostat and water pump were recently replaced by the previous owner. Please if you plan to purchase a Northstar powered car make sure these 2 issues have been addressed visit us at cadillacheadgasketfix.com. If you buy one of these northstar powered Cadillacs, please budget for the expensive head gasket repair and oil leak repair! I have performed this repair over 100 times and feel that my repair system (the SuperStar Stud System) is by far the best in the world! Deep shine and color and very little of even the typical stuff. Nicest one you could find! The 16" chrome wheels set this car off nicely! All I found to mention- Some touch ups/light scuffs on the bumper cover corners, a gouge in the chrome trim under the ETC emblem that you can see here and a crack in the right side tail light lens. These lens are readily available on eBay for not very much money. From every angle, one sharp looking Eldo that is sure to please! Interior Just as good inside! As nice as you could find with very little wear and not even smoked in! The air is cold, all the power goodies are working and the Bose stereo sounds great! Ready to enjoy right away! The camera flash reflection off the carpet and material can make things look faded or dirty, it's not like that in person. Low Miles! Again, the carpets are not dirty! You can see the 12 disc CD changer. Floormats, cargo net and just one set of keys. The remote fob may need a new battery, it was not working when tested. Hi,I'm selling a 1996 Cadillac Eldorado Touring Coupe, with a tan leather interior and woodgrain finish. This is a great car, I'll be sad to part with it. It was given to me 2 years ago by my grandmother. It has just over 57,000 miles on it. It runs really well, and we've put a lot of work into it, including a new battery, new tires, frequent oil changes and tune ups. It has a working tape player and radio. It has some interior wear and tear, and the A/C needs a new fan, and the trunk latch is broken. All will be fairly inexpensive to fix, I just no longer have the time or money to put towards it. It gets decent gas milage for its age- It gets about 24 mpg on the highway, and about 17 in the city.I'm selling it for $2500, but will accept other offers. The blue book value for the car is 5,000. It has sensor(s) issues but rides very well when the sensors are not acting up. I just need to get rid of it due to moving away...can not afford to keep anymore. I had it for over 5 years now; purchased it from a local dealer...drove it to Georgia and around Florida. I keep it clean and maintain to the best of my abilities. I am asking $2950 but am willing to negotiate the price. It has 20' chrome rims with no dents or cracks on them. The engine is strong and does not have any leaks. I have it serviced every 3000 miles with regular maintenance. While I had it a few years back, I had a "fender bender" in the rear bumper but had it repaired.
