Up for sale is a freshly built Monster Miata. Car was purchased stock August 2014 in Tampa FL. September was when the build process began. Working the car on weekends and any other days possible. The car was primarily finished up in March 2015 with additional changes to the wheels, brakes, and fender flares since. The car was built using a kit with the addition of power steering and drive shaft sourced from Monster Miata. Engine and transmission came from 1994 Mustang GT but had to utilize a 1993 Mustang intake and accessories. I tried keeping cost low with a budget in mind when rebuilding the engine using rockauto for minor consumable materials Ex: spark plugs, plug wires, distributor, gaskets, hoses, belts, starter, alternator, ect... But at times couldn't resist and spent money where needed on the car Ex: Hard top, Wilwood front brake kit, 949 rear brake kit, Eibach sway bar kit, polyurethane bushings, blistien shocks and tires. Just finished plumbing and charging the A/C and works great! car is set up on coilovers right now but also have the MM spring set up on Koni adjustable shocks that will be included. Fender flares were purchased from Autokonexion. They arrived in black gel coat and I just sprayed them with black satin plastidip so you can just peel it and have them prepped and painting if so choosing. Listed below is everything that was purchased via rockauto, summit racing, autozone, salvage yards and craigslist. After everything still spent over $20K not including MISC parts, nuts, bolts, wiring and labor costs and time invested. The Bad:1) Speedometer - The transmission speedo gear is incorrect, reads faster than It is. The trans is an 8 tooth drive gear. The rear wheel and tire size 245/45r16 with the rear gear ratio of 3.27's require a speedo gear of 21.4 tooth and currently installed is a 20 tooth. you can install a 21 tooth gear that'll help, but the speedometer will still be off. you can play with other rear gear ratios and tires sizes I just particularly enjoyed this set up and use my GPS as a speedometer. 2) Dark current - Some where on the car is still pulling power even with car off, draining the battery. Looked into it briefly and noticed a major portion was from the radio. So I added 4 rocker switches under the radio, one for the fuel pump and one for the stereo, other two on the far right are unused. Its helped, but there's still a light power drain still there, haven't had enough time to trouble shoot it any further, so I just disconnect the battery for anything overnight.3) The cruise control - Still needs to be adjusted, never bothered to do it when the car got finished. Just to eager to drive!4) Emissions - No catalytic converters or resonators installed. If you live in an emissions controlled state, it will be your responsibility to comply with.5) Heat shielding - No heat shielding was added inside or out. Could use some around the trans tunnel, gets warm after about 25-30min of driving. Thanks for looking. Up for sale is a 96 Mazda Miata M edition. It runs and drives great and all of the options work. It`s an automatic which is a minus for most Miata buyers, but can also be a plus for someone who doesn`t want to hassle with a clutch pedal and manual transmission. The paint is pretty sunburned from the AZ sun, but the body is pretty straight. It just has minor parking lot dings. The convertible top is in great shape and should have a few years of life left in it. The interior is decent. I have to admit that the dash is cracked which is pretty typical for an AZ car, but it`s covered up nicely with a dash mat. The original tan leather seats were pretty rough and have been replaced with some black leather seats out of a 2003 Miata which are in much better shape. Buyer is responsible for cost of any shipping and making shipping arrangements. I don`t have a problem with picking up someone from the Tucson International Airport if the new owner wants to drive this car home. It has a JVC CD/radio with aux and USB input jacks which would make a long drive home much more enjoyable.

Selling because it no longer fits in garage, and has become too much of a chore to upkeep after a more expensive vehicle purchase. Car has never seen the snow or salt (garaged in Michigan). The car was originally yellow, and was painted red -- paint is in pretty good shape aside from scratches and dings, no watermarks or fading, only slight difference in tone between metal and plastic parts. Top is in goos shape, but has one tear when the car was broken into (welcome to Michigan), it was fixed (does not let water in), but still an eyesore.Windshield is cracked pretty bad, 2 time this happens. Needs some clutch work as noted when 105K service was done -- I didn't have it done because I figured I would sell it. Can ship anywhere (buyer arranges shipping, but I can help coordinate).
