This is a listing for a 1996 Trans Am WS-6 with 347 original miles . I bought this car off of the jack stands it rested on for about 16 years in a climate controlled garage . The original owner picked the car up with 6 miles showing , on a car he ordered and waited 3 months to get . He drove it home 39 miles , and that was the last time he drove the car . It went into his garage and was being modified for show . He owned 6 Corvettes , 2 Cadillac's , and a pickup truck . He did not need to drive this car . I bought this car with the 45 miles that was put on it from new . It now has 347 original miles . The original owner is alive yet and can confirm everything . He live 3 miles from me . The car has the original LT-1 and 6 speed transmission . There were 1503 WS-6 's made that year , and it is 1 of 246 with the 6 speed manual transmission . The car is lowered with Eibach springs , it has heavier Granitelli sway bars , Denko frame connectors . The sealed top Optima battery is rear mounted . I have the original window sticker , build sheet , and all paper work . The red paint on the sides of the car is the factory paint . It has 18 inch wheels on front & 19 inch wheels on back , instead of the factory 17 inch wheels . and this car makes the garage smell like a new car ! I am selling my 96 Firebird, I have had this car since april of 2006. This car used to be a track car, but I converted back to a street car. The engine was built for nitrous, it had 130 wet shot on the car when I purchased it. i removed the system due to unreliabilty. The car runs really well and it is very street friendly. A/C works good and well as heat. The PCM was retroed back to OBD1 for tuning purposes. I have a cable that comes with the car so you can check engine live data and pull trouble codes with your laptop. There are a lot of software options available for Windows to use with this cable. I had success using the tools provided by Carputing LCC. I have provided a link to their website at the bottom of this page. Car gets 13mpgs around town and 25 on the highway. Rear tires have no track passes on them, just street driving. Car put down 380hp and 325tq at 7000rpm, I have the dyno sheet. Car was painted back in 2008 when trans-am hood and deck lid were added. Car has been garage kept entire time I owned it except the last year. Now for the not so good. the engine uses oil due to the engine being very loose for the nitrous, it knocks a little when cold. used about 1/2 quart per 2 fill ups. Its been this way since I got the car. The head gaskets seap coolant on the out sides. very minute. It wont even show on coolant pressure test. Its been doing this since I got the car back in 06. just wave to top off coolant evey other month or so depending how much you drive it. Dash board just got a crack in it. ABS dosnt work due to no reluctor ring in rear diff. I took out the yellow light from dash board. I have a clear title, 3 sets of key and 2 key fobs. 1996 Pontiac Firebird Convertible. 3.8l V-6 with Y87 3800 performance package. Very nice condition inside and out considering it's age. Paint is shiny and looks good with some normal small (not really noticeable) scratches here and there (it is 19 years old!). Good tires. Tan Leather interior. Bought the car over 2 years ago with 123,000 miles. Just turned 170,000 miles all put on it driving 80 miles round trip to work every day. Mileage is going up every day. Car had a brand new AC system installed before I bought it, new tires 2 years ago, new water pump and serpentine belt installed last year, one new coil pack, new brakes and rotors last year, new battery 6/14/2015, just put all new plug wires on. No mechanical problems. Motor is very quiet. Will need a muffler (rusted through last winter). Vehicle does have a check engine light on since I bought it 50,000 miles ago due to the evap system. Y87 3800 V6 Performance Package: (The Y87 3800 V6 Performance Package upgraded the vehicle with Auburn limited slip differential (same differential used on V8 models), 11.4" single-piston caliper rear disc brakes (same rear brakes as V8 models), a dual outlet muffler, a quicker 14.4:1steering ratio (same ratio as V8 models), 235/55-16 tires. I have for sale a white 1996 Pontiac Firebird Formula. It has been tastefully modified by the previous owner and myself, and has served us well. It is a V8, rear wheel drive, 6-speed manual muscle car. We recently installed an Eagle Rod stroker kit in the LT-1 engine, taking the displacement from 5.7L to 6.2L (350 ci to 377 ci). Among many other modifications, the front suspension is 2 inches lower than stock, the wheels and tires are aftermarket, headers and a cat-back system have been swapped into the exhaust train, and the PCM (computer) has been tuned to compensate for all the performance enhancements. The fuel pump has been replaced as of 145,400 miles, and the engine was rebuilt when the stroker kit was installed at 136,000 miles. The A/C needs work. The registration is current. For example, the WS6 added to this 1996 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am makes this coupe an under $18K Holy Grail find. This is the slipperiest Firebird design ever, and so it's only fitting that this coupe wears a slick black lacquer that could look wet even in a desert. This is a rapidly appreciating collector's car, and so it's nice to see the previous two owners have gone to great lengths to keep the body and its original shade of midnight in pristine condition. But a car like this was made for more than just being parked as garage art. The WS6 package was never subtle with Ram Air hood scoops, flares, and large fog lights all competing for your attention. But finishing it in black gives this one a sinister appearances that tells everyone on the street, "Don't mess with me!" Best of all this is a T-top coupe, which means you get the convertible wind-in-your-hair feeling without giving up the rigidity of a roof section. Pontiac's stylists did one heck of a job with the Trans Am's interior, visually separating it from its cousin, the Camaro, and giving it a unique look. Deeply sculpted leather buckets are supportive enough for the spirited driving that this car encourages, and as the top-of-the-line machine, just about everything was standard equipment. That means air conditioning, power windows, power locks, dual airbags, cruise control, tilt wheel, and power seats. This one is so original it even comes with the factory premium AM/FM/CD stereo with seven-band equalizer. Checking the WS6 option at you Pontiac dealer meant the Corvette's LT1 5.7-liter motor would be living under your hood. But the upgrades to the fuel-injected V8 did not stop there. The Ram Air intake boosted power from the Trans Am's 285 hp to 305. It gets to utilize this muscle better than the standard T/A thanks to a 1LE performance suspension, 10-bolt rear end, and larger 17-inch wheels that were specific to the WS6 package. This Pontiac might have all the right go-fast features, but because it's a modern classic, it is also everyday comfortable. This includes the convenience of a four-speed automatic, which provides enough gears to be quick off the line as well as cruise comfortably on the highway. Plus, there's power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and ABS. But as easy as it is to pilot this Pontiac, it has never been a daily driver. This has been treated like a classic all its life and has averaged less than 2,200 miles per year for a total of 41,129 miles on the odometer. Brand new tires were just installed at our showroom as well, so she is ready to go. The WS6 Trans Am is a rare bird with only 2,051 coupes built in 1996. K&N air filter.Pioneer sterio with CD and amp with 12" sub.SLP TA suspension and upgraded differential. Details: Mileage is 175000 but at 145000 had the engine replaced with a used stock motor with 34000 miles so the engine has about 64000 miles, I had the valve cove gaskets replaced but still see some oil drips so probably needs the intake gasket replaced. The a/c blows nice and cold as far as I can tell everything is in working order, the power windows go up and down, driver side a little slow. The windows need to be adjusted to tighten up against the weather strip because they leak but kept in garage so not getting wet, the t-tops don't leak. No rips or real issues with the seats and no longer have seat covers on them as shown in the pictures, no cracks in the dash, has large custom 12" sub woffer in the rear side storage area and sound is good, tires are good too, could use a paint job. Security system with automatic door locks. Clear title in my name.

This was being built to be a show car by the original owner. The car had 6 miles on it when he picked it up, he drove it 39 miles to his home, and that is when the work started. The car was up on jack stands for sixteen years, and i bought it right off the jack stands, it had 45 miles on it. Today it has 65 original miles on it. I have driven the other 20 miles. The car is resto-moded, not all original. The car is lowered with Eibach springs, Denko frame connected, Granitelli sway bars, torque arm, and lower control arms on rear. JBA stainless headers, flowmaster muffler, and Gibson stainless exhaust tips. No catalytic converters, and computer re-chipped. 350 LT-1 and a 6 speed stick shift and factory ram air. It has 18 inch wheels on front and 19 inch wheels on back, nitto tires 275 on front, and 295 on back. All windows are etched. I have owners manual, window sticker, and factory build sheet. This car smells so new, it makes the garage smell like a new car!
