Within the classic car world, a new breed of classics has become increasingly more popular. These cars are not quite old enough to be deemed a classic car and not new enough to be considered a ‘new’ car which leaves them somewhere in the middle. Usually ranging from the early 1990’s to right around the turn of the century, these cars have been given the term ‘modern classics.’ Cars such as the BMW 1M, Mazda MX-5, Aston Martin DB9, Golf GTI, Ferrari 355, and Nissan Skyline all have varying degrees of rarity, performance, and value but all fall into this category. In this realm of modern classics, there is a particular car that has been overlooked for quite some time but has recently begun to be recognized for the amazing car that it is. The Acura NSX, a mid-engined Japanese supercar that stunned enthusiasts everywhere when it first became available in 1990 with its sharp looks and capabilities on the road. A large part of its success was a very clever 3.0L engine that utilized titanium connecting rods, variable volume induction, and its signature dish, Honda’s revolutionary VTEC system. This made the NSX so well received that it was preferred over its competitor, the Ferrari 348, when it was first introduced and with good reason given it handled better, was quicker, and was much less intrusive on consumers’ wallets. Over the next 15 years, production of the NSX would continue, becoming more refined every year, receiving a larger 3.2L engine in 1997 and a targa platform eventually became available. In 2002, it received a cosmetic updating that included fixed open headlamps and redesigned front and rear valence. This brings us to our example. The example on offer is a 2004 Acura NSX-T, chassis number JH4NA21644S000030 finished in Rio Yellow Pearl over a black interior, of which, only 19 have been produced in this color combination. With only 3,500 miles from new and just three owners, this NSX is virtually a brand new car. Originally delivered to Cush Acura of Escondido, California with its delivery inspection report filled out by the dealer on 11/10/2004. It resided with its first owner in Northern California until 2011 when it was sold to its second owner in Fresno, CA with only 1,681 miles. Owner three of Granite Bay, CA purchased the car with only 1,988 miles on 8/7/2012 and subsequently sold the car to us in October of 2016. As one would expect from a California car with only 3,500 miles, the current condition of this car still very much resembles the impeccable condition it was in when it rolled off the production line. Any enthusiast would be in awe of the care taken in the preservation of this car with any imperfections almost completely nonexistent. The yellow paint shows phenomenally well, maintaining its beautiful pearl finish and an excellent shine. There are no noteworthy flaws in the paint as it is completely free of any scratches, chips, or blemishes whatsoever, showing as new from the factory. The panel fitment is excellent, displaying no indicators of damage or alterations with a clean CARFAX confirming this. The 17 inch, 7 spoke wheels sit on a set of new Yokohama tires and are in superb condition having incurred no curb rash or imperfections in the paint. The only item worth noting in terms of imperfections are the lug nuts which have incurred some scuffs/scrapes from removal and reinstallation. This would only be notice under extremely close inspection and is very simple to correct. All of the glass, trim, badges, and rubber items all present as new, with no quarrels to be had. The interior shows as consistently flawless as the exterior of the car. The jams are fresh and clean, with the identification plate present on the kick plates. The black vinyl seats, door panels, and dash have incurred no mistreatment or abuse with none of the typical flaws (cracking, fading, tears, stains) present. A turn of the key to the ‘on’ position and one will be able to demonstrate that all instruments, accessories, and electrical components are in complete working order including the power windows and seats. Continuing with our inspection, the front trunk space houses the original spare wheel and displays no inconsistencies. The rear trunk reveals much of the same qualities, the liner in perfect condition, and once again has no flaws to note. The engine bay exhibits high marks of originality with a plethora of factory markings and stickers present. All components are in like new condition and an overall sense of tidiness is very much apparent. Moving to the underside of the car, it is consistent with the condition of the rest of the car, free of any rust, damage, or any modifications. The mechanical status of this NSX can be described as a well sorted, absolutely turn-key example. It has received regular maintenance and in May of 2014, a major service tending to any and all items necessary completed by the marque specialists at Driving Ambition of Cameron Park, California. They replaced the timing belt, water pump, valve cover seals, rear camshaft seals, VTEC solenoid seals, and adjusted the valves amongst a few other small items to dial this car in. As expected, the car starts instantly and runs without fault. The 3.2L power plant is one of the liveliest engines an enthusiast can experience with lightning fast throttle response and an 8,000rpm red line, it certainly has plenty to offer in terms of performance. The 6-speed gearbox has a short and precise throw making for quick shifts, going in and out of gear without issue. The clutch operates as it should with plenty of use left in it. The steering and brakes are also in complete working order, performing flawlessly. The engine pulls hard, firmly planting the driver in his seat especially in the lower gears. During use, the engine builds and holds a steady operating temperature as well as sufficient oil pressure. The only thing left for this car’s next caretaker is to simply get in and enjoy it. The Acura NSX is a modern classic that holds great nostalgia in the hearts of young enthusiasts across the globe, encompassing everything one would want in a supercar from the exotic styling to the performance. This particular example is an extremely low miles, factory original, fixed headlamp car equipped with a manual gearbox which makes it one the most desirable of the NSXs. This car obtains some of the most attractive attributes not only for NSXs specifically but for collector quality cars as a whole. Other mods to the inside of this 1992 NSX are the NSX-R floor mats, NSX-R MOMO steering wheel, NSX-R carbon fiber gauge bezel, Titanium shift knob, billet aluminum racking pedals, and Hydro dipped door, and dash trim. The body was not left out as there is the carbon fiber NSX-R rear wing by downforce, NSX-R hood by seibon, wings west side skirts, wings west rear spats, wings west front lip, Carbon fiber side air vents, NSX-R door badges, Carbon fiber rear diffuser, and S2000 antenna. I have owned this car for over 5 years and have done all the service work and is up to date with the timing belt and water pump done this summer. I do know that at some point this car had an S-title from theft recovered back in NY back in 1997 but shows S-title in 2001 now have a clean Colorado title for the car and is free and clear in my name. I do also know that it will not pass E-test in Denver so would need to be plated outside Denver where there is no E-test. With a new re-tune on the car I would think it would pass but do not know as I have not tried and have had it plated outside of Denver. I have had the front bumper, rear bumper and right side door painted by a friends body shop from rock chips and some that opened a door in to the right side door. The window was replaced with a new oem window from Acura after I had the roof re-painted as the Black over time was looking bad. Have done the update to the power windows this summer also so they are working good with no problems. I do have the stock hood, side skirts, side air vents, and steering wheel that I will give the buyer if they would like them. I know there is somethings I will have missed as I have done a lot of work to the car over the past 5 years and would keep but time to move on to other cars. Reliable, strong, and built for power!!! NSX Acura coupe is adult owned, extremely well maintained, and powerful! Randy Marchetti, the owner of RM Racing, is nuts for NSXs, and the '93 (with a 3.0-liter VTEC V-6) Beyond RM's straightforward nitrous system, the car wears every NSX thing Marchetti has ever dreamed up and built. That includes a carbon fiber intake feeding an oversize throttle body, revised engine control computer, alloy engine coolant bottle, billet aluminum manifold cover, braided aluminum lines, rear alloy/carbon fiber strut tower bar, stainless steel exhaust system, alloy/carbon fiber oil cap, and a bunch of other cool stuff. The suspension has been lowered 1.5 inches using RM's springs and the brakes cross-drilled and fitted with carbon Kevlar pads, the car rides on P215/40ZR17 front and P275/35ZR18 rear . Flip down what was the dash's ashtray cover and three switches appear: one to turn on the nitrous system, one to open the valve on the nitrous bottle itself, and one that converts the horn buttons on the steering wheel into system triggers. It's easy to operate nitrous. Let's dispense with the handling. Without power steering, this may be as close to having a car surgically attached as any driver can experience. It's hard to improve on what is essentially perfection. Nitrous off, RM's NSX was still one of the quickest Motor Trend has tested, blasting the quarter mile in 13.6 seconds at 105.6 mph. With the nitrous on, it ripped off a 12.3 at 113.7 mph. With its 4.0-second 0-60 blast, this is an NSX that can slay even the occasional Viper. RM claims only a 70-horsepower gain for the nitrous system, but the performance indicates about 100 horsepower beyond the '93 standard 270 horsepower are available. The nitrous system simply swamps the NSX's VTEC system when it's engaged; the driver never feels the engine transition to the second cam profile. But that's okay. When you're going this fast, who can feel anything except exhilaration? Engine was balanced and blueprinted and RM claims it will rev to 9000 rpm with no danger to the engine!!! Its hard to improve on what is essentially perfection. Nitrous off, RMs NSX was still one of the quickest Motor Trend has tested, blasting the quarter mile in 13.6 seconds at 105.6 mph. With the nitrous on, it ripped off a 12.3 at 113.7 mph. With its 4.0-second 0-60 blast, this is an NSX that can slay even the occasional Viper. RM claims only a 70-horsepower gain for the nitrous system, but the performance indicates about 100 horsepower beyond the 93 standard 270 horsepower are available. The nitrous system simply swamps the NSXs VTEC system when its engaged; the driver never feels the engine transition to the second cam profile. But thats okay. If you're reading this, you probably already know about this amazing Japanese super-car, or you may already own one and are looking to purchase a second. So I'll spare the details, which you can Google anyways. However, here is a little trivia that you may not know: Starting in 1997, Acura upgraded the engine and transmission to a larger 3.2 liter engine (290 HP) and 6-speed transmission. Then, in model year 2000, they upgraded the brakes with the best ABS (anti-lock brakes) system. The 1999 and earlier year models had an ABS system that was heavier and prone to be problematic. Also, starting in 2002 Acura deleted the pop-up headlamps in favor of the 'frog eyes' or fixed lamps with the clear plastic covers. Many NSX enthusiasts prefer the pop-up style. So only the 2000 and 2001 models have the best ABS brake system and the popup lamps. I'm the third owner of this amazing car. Everything is in working order, the car needs nothing. Just buy it and enjoy it. It is a non-smokers vehicle, always garage-kept. I give the interior a 9.5 and the paint an 8.5. A common wear area is the drivers seat bolster, which you can see in the photos has very little wear. There are a couple of small chips that are illustrated in the photos, and two scratches that are so small that I couldn't photograph them. I have the spare tire although it isn't in the pictures. I get looks and thumbs-up everywhere I drive this thing. The only reason I'm selling is I need garage space for another muscle car. I'm looking to purchase an early 70's Cuda, so no trades, unless you got a nice Plymouth Cuda with a 440 or Hemi. It's getting more difficult to find pristine low-mileage NSX's like this. The prices keep going up too, so here is a car that you can drive and it will APPRECIATE over time, unlike a new sports car that will drop in half in a few years.

Below are summaries of the service records on hand. (This doesn't mean these were the only services performed, only what I have copies of invoices for.) June 1992 at 15,219 miles - 15,000 mile service.(There were services completed before the next invoice but I don't have copies.)April 1997 at 54,134 miles - 60,000 mile service and rear brake pads.May 1998 at 59,546 miles - Brake flush and another 60,000 mile service.Sept. 1999 at 64,570 - Clutch replaced.May 2002 at 72,457 - Timing belt, water pump, valve cover gaskets replaced.July 2012 at 92,680 - Tires replaced. (These are on the original rims and only have 4,400 miles on them.) Purchased from original owner in New York on 9/3/13. Took directly to Acura dealer to have inspected before driving to Florida. 9/3/13 at 93,122 - Dealer inspection. Clean bill of health.9/19/13 at 94,574 - Replaced timing belt.11/14/13 at 96,296 - Replaced ABS accumulator and oil pan gasket.12/9/13 - Picked up from paint shop. Had front and rear bumpers painted due to various nicks and scratches. 12/10/13 at 96,972 - Installed aftermarket wheels and new tires.1/15/14 at 98,349 - Installed air bag (SRS) control unit, replaced oil pressure housing o-ring and V-TEC solenoid gasket.4/18/14 at 102,195 - Replaced driver window regulator.7/14/14 at 104,646 - Replaced A/C evaporator core.8/13/14 at 105,567 - Replaced clutch slave and master cylinder. Any mechanical needs have been taken care of. All of the work done in the last year was to bring the car up to par and make it the ultimate daily driver. Unfortunately personal circumstance have changed and it must be sold. There are a few cosmetic flaws that are for the most part shown in the pictures. These are shown so there are no surprises and all things considered very minor. With the exception of the bumpers the car has original paint. The trim above the windshield needs to be replaced but the part is included. On the carfax you will notice "July 2014 - minor accident or vehicle damage reported: front center". While the NSX was in the shop on 7/14/14 a lady backed into the front bumper while it was parked. I have included a close up picture of the extremely minor damage. If you didn't know it was there you wouldn't see it. Note that in the pictures it may appear to have different shades of paint but it does not. The reflection of the green grass gives that illusion. The exhaust was just replaced July 2014. It is the quietest aftermarket exhaust available but does sound better than the original and saves weight. There is nothing wrong with the original and it will be included. The original wheels, with some curb rash, will be included and the tires on them are in excellent condition. The original Bose radio, speakers and console trim will be included. The stereo was replaced October 2013. Features include back-up camera, DVD audio and video, navigation, XM satellite, Pandora, bluetooth with audio streaming, i-pod connection with video playback, integrated home link, USB power source, power antenna switch.
