1997 BMW e36 328 convertible automatic 129,000 low miles, automatic. This convertible is in very good condition for a 18 year old car. I went over the car completely before just having the car Pennsylvania inspected. New parts include some very normal wear and tear items. Rubber intake boot, HVAC capacitor pack (controls blower motor) transmission filter and replacement of a common failing torque converter clutch solenoid. The car does have a few imperfections - The hood has a few dings/dents which may be hard to see in the pictures, dent wizard may be able to remove these. There are also a few dings here and there. The rear bumper has some light damage on the drivers side corner. The dash cluster has a couple of cracks in the clear plastic. Some of the woodgrain is cracked on the center console. Drivers side heated seat is not working. Convertible top has two very light wear marks that I reinforced from behind with convertible top repair kit. Other than that. The car is fully loaded with driver and passenger power heated seats (drivers seat heat is not working) full power automatic convertible top with appears to be a new rear window. Cold AC. Tires have at least 85% tread left and brake pads have at least 75% pad left. As stated above the car was just inspected it does not have any check engine abs or srs lights lit. Great project vehicle or spare part vehicle! Engine runs good but vehicle needs a new transmission. It only moves in reverse and slipping some, no forward gears. (used trans $400.00-450.00 when I researched salvage yards for one). Engine will need new spark plugs (due by time and mileage) and secondary air injector pump, but starts strong and runs smooth. Vehicle will need new battery. ABS light is on have not performed diag on it, started to come on after I had an o2 sensor replaced. Front seat bottoms and backs were just redone with new leather and dyed to match rear seats. (Note front seats will not recline possible bad gear.) Convertible top is a power top and functions correctly but cloth and tension straps need to be replaced. Air bag light is on for passenger presence sensor error. Had sensor replaced when seats were done but found problem in harness, have replacement harness parts just have not installed yet. Paint on hood is peeling. Please Note: vehicle left front fender replaced, headlight and other related parts were replaced due to car being hit while parked in a parking lot, hood needs to be repainted due to peeling paint. I do not know any other history on vehicle my son bought this a little over 2 years ago so do not know any prior accident or maintenance history on vehicle, but title is clear! Buyer must pay $100.00 deposit within 48hrs. of auction closing, remaining balance due in form of Cash at time of pick up. Vehicle MUST BE TOWED away within 7days of close of auction at buyers expense, note this is a rear wheel drive vehicle and can not be towed on a tow dolly without removing drive shaft. This is a 1997 BMW 328iS in Boston Grün Metallic that I purchased a few years ago as a commuter car from Cain BMW. The car has 192,000 miles. The instrument cluster was replaced by BMW, so it reflects a lower mileage on the CarFax and AutoCheck reports. It is maintained by a BMW Certified Mechanic and is in excellent condition. This is BMW's most reliable drivetrain, an inline 6 cylinder paired with a smooth-shifting 5-speed manual. This BMW has the very rare hidden factory trailer hitch from Germany which allows it to tow up to 3800 pounds.Everything works and it needs absolutely nothing. Always maintained with genuine BMW parts from the dealership. Some of the items recently replaced: new clutch, radiator, water pump, thermostat, all four struts, front lower control arms, both tie rod ends inner and outer, fuel pump, rear wheel bearings, front brakes, and much, much more. I used this BMW to travel from Ohio to Florida and back several times per year, so it had to be 100% reliable. The car does have some rust bubbles on the trunk and near the rear wheel wells, but as can be seen in the photos, it is not very noticible. It is a non-smoker car, and comes equipped with factory sports package with sports suspension settings and bolstered seats, premium package with leather, factory keyless entry, Harman Kardon premium sound, factory CD player with AUX input, ice-cold AC, dual-zone climate control, ABS with traction control and dual airbags. I have records including those from the original owner and the original window sticker. I am selling because I replaced this car with an X5. It is a blast to drive and averages around 30MPG on the highway. It will last the new owner a very long time.
