Dinan Chip + cold air intake runs good drives fine with no issues mechanically, needs some regular refreshing and exterior cosmetics, navi and pixels are out common issues, drives fast and has plenty of power, black leather interior in excellent condition. has custom exhaust system with a sport exhaust, nice rumble, i once had straight pipes on it for a short time, it was something scary, it sounds just right with the sport exhaust i later added,custom welded wider exhaust tubing. needing some tlc cosmetically, special order color very hard to find Estoril Blue, salvage from minor parking lot very slow to bumper area , bought from a close friend long ago after he didnt want the salvage title anymore, fellow bmw fanatic who is now in a nice dark blue e34 manual with a clean title. years ago it a parking lot ding can easily get a salvage title and thats is the case for this car. some paint and headlights has oxidized along with roof and hood from outside parking and california sun. small rock chips front from freeway use, front bumper is loose, there is no panel issues the headlight and bumper are loose makes the gaps look off, she is straight. The doors and trunk are great, drove mostly highway first years of owning to trips and bmw events, then my dad drove it for about 2 years to work and back in valencia, driving it very slow, its really nice to drive it at cruising speeds, and whenever you want some power it always there and very responsive. after that i drove it to work for a bit when i sold my acs e39 528 that i was driving daily, then i bought a non bmw car and the 540 was parked for a long time only being driven on weekends in short distance near my home to Angeles Crest Hwy and back to keep it from sitting and to relax and enjoy driving this machine. 1997 BMW 528i (e39) 275,800 miles. Black with black leatherette interior, all four tires where put on about 2 years ago and in very good condition. Runs and drives well, she still has many more miles left! Items I've had replaced: A/C compressor All cooling system parts (radiator, thermostat, expansion tank, all temp sensors) Alternator and battery rear suspension brakes and rotors Known problems, I mentioned them above but it does seep a tad of oil, you will notice a few drops on the ground after being parked, I think most of it is coming from the steering fluid hose where it connects to the fluid reservoir which is common with these cars. The drivers seat material is worn though in spots but no tears and not all the way to the foam, see pics. There are some spots of rust mostly on the rocker panel area. Includes two key's (fob). I had the cooling system replaced New radiator water pump, thermostat. fan and fan hub, belts, hoses, and temperature sensors. New fuel pump, filter, and fuel pressure regulator. Four wheel brake job and four new tires. New battery, transmission service and oil change, power steering system flushed and serviced. Engine tune up service. New engine computer and EWS, ( vehicle security system). I spent almost five thousand on this car and she decided she didn't want it.It does have some blemishes in the paint and has a crack in the windshield. Not in drivers line of sight. I have no place to store this car and I don't need a car to drive. It has to go. Will answer all questions.

The last accurate reading was at 91,437 (9/24/97 - Original owner) miles and the titled mileage is 256,601 but that mileage was marked as incorrect on the purchase paperwork. Carfax usually won't flag an odometer report as long as the reported mileage is in an ascending order, so the VIN report reads the mileage as okay; while in reality it's been erroneous since purchase.
