If you've been searching for one of the most unique vans out there and need to haul the family, crew or need a place to take a nap on the job, than my 1997 Dodge 2500 1/2 conversion 1/2 cargo van and just 75k is for you.Mechanically this van runs out strong. Motor sounds healthy through all the RPM's. Trans shifts great through all the gears. Drives down the road great. Steering is nice and tight. front end feels good. A/C is cold. All around a solid van that's ready to go.Cosmetically it's just as nice. Paint shines nice in the sun. Body is nice and straight with the exception of a door ding or two and your typical scratch here and there. Underneath is nice and clean. Inside you'll find a unique set up that I've never seen before. It looks like it was once a full conversion van that someone converted into a partial cargo van. Moved the reclining bed up behind the captains chairs and partitioned off the rear for cargo space. The cargo space has a bed liner that goes all the way up under the bed so you can fit a 4x8 sheet in there. Everything is so well done it looks like it could be factory and maybe it is I'm not sure. It works perfectly, and will swivel completely around, allowing the wheelchair occupant to safely transfer into the front passenger seat. Some of my photos show the operation. The toilet and lavatory are only two years old, and cost over $3,000. The carpet is also only two years old, and still looks new. THE BAD: Although this van is in great condition, it is not perfect. There are some minor cosmetic issues that must be noted. Although the paint looks great standing 6' away, close inspection will reveal tiny nicks that one would expect with almost 80k miles of use. There is a small dent at the passenger side cargo door sill, adjacent to the wheelchair lift (see photo). The driver side plastic window guard is cracked (see photo). The spare tire carrier has a small amount of rust on it adjacent to the rear door, but is hidden from plain view. The interior console, located between the driver and front passenger seats, has a 2" long x 1/4" wide defect that appears to be melted plastic. I do not know what caused it. Perhaps a technician laid a hot soldering iron there. Regardless, it is not very noticeable, and does not compromise the functionality of the console. The windows are tinted, and the window tint is showing its age with numerous small scratches and blemishes in the tint. Window tint is easy and inexpensive to fix, and would be a worthwhile investment for the new owner to consider. Overall, the GOOD far outweighs the BAD on this van. It is a good-looking handicap van that will provide years of reliable transportation for a small fraction of the cost of a new one. We just used this van for a tour all through the north in February, it drove smoothly through all the worst conditions the whole way. It's very comfortable and stylish on the inside with amber lighting and elegant wood detailing. A lot of space in general and a lot of storage space. Can be used as a camper, tour van, family car or by a person in a city. It has a lot of room, but is still compact. The rear bench folds into a bed. It is very good on gas compared to our last tour van. It comes with an updated sound system: 2013 Kenwood CD / Ipod player / Iphone Charger & an unused pair of Alpine speakers. The van was recently serviced and the wheels were aligned this spring. The only known issues are: The gas gauge works intermittently & the speedometer display is about 10 miles over your true speed. There's a dent in one of the rear doors and a repaired dent on one of the side doors (please see photos). Aside from some other minor wear on the exterior and interior, it's in very good all around cosmetic shape. The van has fairly recently gone under a basic complete rebuild. It's a 2 owner vehicle from Utah and Colorado and it has not been exposed to road salt to any significant degree. The paint and body look original, interior has been very well finished and currently has new car smell. The van holds 5 people and could hold potentially up to 12 with the proper seating. It has a fresh safari basket, newish looking Michelins, new wheels and a good deal of recent service. The truck comes with a high output built 408 stroker motor put in about 10k miles ago at an expense of over $6,000. The transmission was done and upgraded at the time. The van has new bearings and seals in the rear diff, and most all the motor peripherals are performance, and newish. This is a nice driving excellent running beast of a truck that turns lots of heads. There are a few Quigley Fords out there, but very few of these Rams, and this is just a really neat example. exterior This rig is in very good shape for the age and mileage, clearly been well kept. There's no obvious damage, no cancerous rust, undercarriage looks very decent, and glass is fine. The wheels are new, and tires are Michelins with super deep even tread. The right rear is an older style, but same type I believe. It's not new or perfect. The left rear 1/4 has a ding, there's some road wear on the front end, lower rockers to some degree, and a few little dings in the bumpers. The rear bumper does not have a trim strip, few little spots around windshield frame, but nothing bad. The doors all open and close easily including the back big door which surprisingly doesn't have the hinges all worn out. The photos document it well, recently waxed, good gloss, very nice looking again for age. interior The interior is equally nice. It was used for work previous to our purchase. We repaired the drivers seat upholstery, installed new carpet padding, new commercial grade carpet, trim strips, and new upholstery panels throughout the back. It does not have a rear headliner. We can have one built for it if you like, call for pricing. There's a few little missing trim pieces for the seats, hole in the dash center, switches we're not sure what they do, etc. We had to repair the passenger seat mechanism and affix the seat belt after the photos. The van has power windows and locks that are functional. The air blows cold and heat blows hot. This one has rear heat and air, we fitted some trim around the vent in back which is just in the floor. If you intend to use the van for camping, I imagine you could rig up a switch and heater element for the vehicle coolant to get warm air to the rear without the engine running. The cruise control works. It does need to have a stereo wired up and the center consul may need a little attention. I haven't gone over every last little minute detail of the interior, please plan on doing a little bit of detail work when you take it home to make it perfect. mechanical This truck runs out and drives excellent. We've put about 100 miles on it since purchase and were happy with how it came out. It needed a little love when it came in, we put in a new battery, new heater control valve, partial rebuild on the rear end, rebuilt the transmission/t-case mount, rebuilt the t-case linkage, and a few other things. It drives straight and is well mannered on the highway. It's a fairly stiff ride, but not that much different from a Quigley. The wheelbase is a little shorter and it does have leafs up front as opposed to coils. It's very responsive and I like that, turning radius is also super short. Yes, tons of power. The HP/TQ sheet in the photos is what the motor is supposed to output. This is all stuff provided by previous owner and I can not verify everything, but the motor is definitely like new and they did not skimp on parts. It has an electric water pump, electric fans, lots of aluminum, high performance ignition, aluminum radiator and valve covers, and custom work. It fires easy and pulls hard, runs very cool as well. The only thing I can see needing attention is the exhaust headers which are tired and old. It has an exhaust leak on the left side. We do have some headers here that we could potentially have fit to the truck, just need a few days to get it to the shop. We'll throw the parts in the deal if you want to cover labor. The lower front drag link has a bow to it, but It doesn't seem to affect drivability. This van should be fine to drive anywhere, the only thing I said will need done at some point is exhaust. I've spent a good amount of time with it and enjoyed driving it, definitely turns a lot of heads. Denver Fleet reserves the right to sell the vehicle at any time before a deposit has been left on the vehicle, even when the reserve has been met.
