1997 Ford Crown Vic police interceptor package called a P71 package on a Panther Platform (Ford lingo). Blk with Blk tint on rear windows and the rear windshield - never used as police car, very pampered. Car is registered and on the road, Come drive it around town in the Boston, MA area. We are its second owners. The first owner was Uncle Sam and the GSA. This was an IRS vehicle and we got it with very low miles 3 yrs after it was delivered from Ford to the government. We put on most of its mileage. Now has close to 150,000 miles. Car runs but intake manifold needs replacing, so car runs rough right now bcs of that, and at stop lights i shift it into neutral. Lots of parts replaced in last 2 yrs including suspension parts and gas tank. car has been kept up. The recall to replace its brake and fuel lines from engine to back was done. The preventative weld to its frame and pass side A frame arm under the ac condenser was done also (the dripping of the AC onto the frame below corrosion prevention). I have a todo list (punch list) of several small items that this car needs to be perfect. Last winter a plow backed up into drv side rear and did minor ding as shown in pic to rear lens and hood cnr. Also disconnected its ABS bcs it was annoying to me. I've owned a lot of Crn Vics and this particular engine is not to be believed. the amount of power and acceleration is incredible. It has Lincoln Town Car alum alloy wheels and tires are good (it came with 235 70VR 15's which look nicer than the 225's most came with)The car looks sharp with these alloy rims and slightly bigger tires and handles really well with its front and rear anti-sway bars. The front tires replaced and are new. Also have a LOT of extra tires and rims for this car which are included in the sale if you want them. If you have time to replace the intake manifold (which has started leaking a slight bit of coolant into top of #4 plug) well then this is a beauty of a car for you. ALSO has a very nice aftermarket audio system, plays plain CD/s, MP3 CD's and also has input for ipod or iphone to play music thru it. Also has preamp jacks to hook up a major boost amp to it as well. It is also Sattelite Radio XM capable.. Come see this car. At this giveaway price, the first people to come see it will prob buy it. This listing is for an amazing Crown Vic. It runs great with new fuel pump, fuel lines, brake lines, tires, and so much more. There has been well over $1000 put into making this a safe and reliable family vehicle. This car needs nothing to drive, and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. Fresh oil change at 159,440 miles, and all new fluids throughout. Only 5k miles on tires with good even tread wear. Brake lines were installed by Krieger Ford last year (over $800). New fuel pump last month, good battery, cold A/C, hot heater, and nearly everything works as new. The only issues with this vehicle are the small rust spots as shown in photos, A/C only blows on high, but all temperature and vent settings work. The back windows are off track but the motors work fine (probably need reatached to the glass, or regulator looked at; but I just found that out today since I am never in the back seat. 1997 Crown Victoria, real Police Interceptor, not a fake! Has a 4.6 with automatic overdrive transmission. Has 2002 PI heads and intake manifold. Transmission has a shift kit in it, will grab and spin tires in the 1-2 shift and grabs 3rd hard! Computer has been chipped. New intake gaskets. It has a K&N full cold air intake, BBK Power Plus 75mm throttle body, electric cooling fan, drilled and slotted rotors, custom center console, aftermarket double din radio, true dual exhaust with 4 glasspacks and turndowns. It sounds awesome! Car does not have catalytic converters, it is exempt from them and has the factory sticker under the hood stating so. No, it does not display a check engine light! Cold AC, New shocks were put on it about 20,000 miles ago. 2 tires are about half worn and the other 2 are fairly new. The seats and carpet are in good shape. I had the driver's seat re-upholstered about 3 years ago. Ball Joints and Control arm bushings replaced about 2,000 miles ago. Now for the iffy.... It does have a Rebuilt title. The title I have now shows it as being clear, but when it will be sent off by the new owner, it will come back as being rebuilt. Several years ago I hit a deer on I-40. The insurance company totaled the car, I bought it back and had it fixed. Car was repaired and painted by Foothills Paint & Body in Morganton. Runs like a champ! The headliner is coming down in a few small places in the back. The car has a small oil drip coming from the adapter that the oil filter screws into. It does not require any extra oil between oil changes. The passenger's front and rear window regulators need replacing. Since I have had the car, I have replaced all window regulators. The 2 on the passenger's side need replacing again. There are a few small cracks in the door panels.
