1997 GMC Sierra 3500 6.5L Turbo Diesel Dually Hello, I have up for sale a 1997 GMC Sierra 3500 6.5L turbo diesel 4x2 dually. This truck is in great shape with 142300 miles on it. I purchased the truck with the intent to replace my gasoline truck with it but I just do not have the heart to give up my other one yet. Drivetrain: The motor in this truck is extremely strong and clean. I've replaced the injector pump, injectors, added a new SS-Diesel Supply PMD cooling kit and resistor. This truck runs extremely smooth going down the road and at idle. There is no excessive smock from the exhaust pipe while driving and no knocks. The transmission shifts extremely well with no lagging or slipping. The rear axle still feels extremely strong as well. The brakes are in great shape with no warpage or fade. I replaced all of the tires and the batteries, no issues with firing when cold. Body: This is a southern truck from Kentucky. There's no rust in the body at all and no major dents or dings. I added the newer style long mirrors for better viewing while towing. The wheels were refinished as well in a nice metallic grey and new trim rings and center caps were installed. The bed has a spray in bed-liner which could be used as is or touched up, I was going to install a new plastic "GMC" liner if I could find one. Interior: The interior is in good shape, it is dark navy blue in color. The drivers seat has some small tears but nothing that isn't easily repairable. The remainder of the seats are in good condition but could be dyed to be perfect. The carpet is in good shape with no major stains, burns or etc. The headliner is not falling. The dashboard lights up and everything functions. This truck has a few comfort features such cassette and CD with an AM/FM radio. The truck has AC, power windows, power locks, power seat, cruise and etc. Please ask any and all questions you may have as to become an educated buyer. The Story: This big lifted 4WD duramax truck is a recent trade in, is rust free (see underside photos) and has a very rare 6 spd manual transmission. I have only seen a few trucks like this in the last 10 years, if you have been seeking a truck like this, then this is your chance to own one. Condition, Options and Drivetrain: The body, paint and interior are excellent, above average, under the hood is a very strong running 6.6 Duramax V8 engine with an AFE cold air intake, 6 spd manual transmission, the tires are excellent (80%) on American Racing wheels, Rancho lift kit, adjustable Rancho shocks, nerf bars, bed liner and more. The non smoking interior is immaculate, equipped with keyless entry, power windows/locks, tint, cruise control, AC/heat, tow package with electric trailer brakes, AM/FM/CD, and everything works as it should. We have changed the oil, filters, fuel filter, checked fluids, brakes etc. I have put over 100 miles on this truck, it starts, runs, drives and stops excellent and will not disappoint you. Though in excellent overall condition, this is a used 14 year old truck and as you would expect there are imperfections, scratches, dings, wear, etc. I am being very "nit-picky" on some of this stuff because I value my reputation/feedback. There is a small tear in the drivers seat bottom (see photos) There is a very small hole in the headliner and small piece out of the door cover near the handle (see photos) There is some scratches (common GM issue) on the windows (see photos) the sun reflection makes it look worse than it is The rear hinge is broken on the console lid, I am looking for another (see photos)There are a few little normal scuffs and stuff but nothing worth photographing.
