1997 Mazda MX-6, 2 door, 4 cylinders, Manual, 5 speed, A/C, 100% Drivable Car I'm selling my 1997 Mazda MX-6 Car Coupe (2 door), Manual Transmission, 2.0L Engine 4 cylinders Front Wheel Drive, A/C, Power Windows, Power Locks, Gasoline The car is in good shape, It needs new tires otherwise it's 100% drivable. The body is in good shape, you might want to put a new coat of paint but not necessary... Also the hand brake is not working. It never bothered me since I'm using the transmission but I still should have mentioned it. The car is running good, as far as I know there is nothing needs to be fixed except of new tires... I'm still driving it though :) About a month ago I've just installed a brand new Bosh alternator with a lifetime warranty. I also just replaced an air filter and an oil (about 1000km since I changed the oil). At this moment the car is driving great especially for an old car but I'm selling it AS IS since I can not guarantee anything considering its age. I'm located in Toronto (HWY 427 & Burhamthorpe Rd). It had a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission and was set on the same chassis as the 636 coupe that it replaced. Assembly of the MX-6 was done in Flat Rock, Michigan, for the U.S. and Canadian markets, and in Japan for overseas markets. During the 1988 to 1992 model years, U.S. cars used the I4 Mazda engines. The early models were designed around the looks of some futuristic concept cars from the early 1980s. The U.S. model engines produced 120 hp from the F2 2.2L engine, but another 145 hp turbo-charged engine was optional. The 4-speed automatic transmission also had overdrive. Most critics were of the opinion that the Mazda MX-6 was quite reliable and mechanically sound. There was not a lot of room in the back seat, so this model best served an individual rather than a family. Mazda MX-6 was developed and produced by AutoAlliance International Mazda, and the first generation was part of a joint venture at the Flat Rock assembly plant for North American sales, along with the 626 and Ford Probe. The MX-6 had several trim groups that varied according to the selling market. In the U.S., these trim levels were called DX, LX, LE, and GT. The DX was a base model; LX had power windows, locks and mirrors plus a new option for an electrical moon roof. Fee and Tax Information The winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours and send out a deposit of $500.00 non refundable within 24 hours. The car must be paid in full Prior To delivery. We would like a copy of any cashier check you may be using faxed to us before the delivery date. Sold vehicles will be stored for no longer than 7 days at no charge. A storage charge will incur after 7 days. Please make prior arrangements with selling dealer to avoid storage charges at time of sale. You may pay the purchase price with cash in person, with a cashiers or certified check or bank-to-bank wire transfer. These forms are acceptable for the deposit as well, and we will accept Paypal for the deposit only. If you are the winner, a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction is sufficient to hold the car until the remainder can be sent or car is picked up. Final payment is expected within three (3) days thereafter. Important tax info: If you are a Florida resident, you will be required to pay Florida's 6% sales tax and registration fees including a $35 dmv courier fee. If you are not a Florida resident, and you are are driving the vehicle away from our lot, you will be required to pay your state's sales tax up to 6%. If your state's sales tax is more than 6%, you will be required to pay the difference in your home state. If your state has no sales tax on motor vehicles, we will not charge you any sales tax. There will be a $79 fee for a 30 day temp tag for your trip home. If you have the vehicle shipped, we will not charge you any sales tax (however, you will have to pay your state's tax at home).
