Some would be chrome but they were flat and yuck.These are staggerd I applied matte black white accent stripe. REALLY MAKES THEM STAND OUT. I CALL MY CAR THE DE-STRESSED MACHINE. Hard day at work come home take a evening drive with top down! Youll feel much better. looking at other sl 500 on line its amazing. you will see some as low as 18,000 mile to 219,00. I saw one for 256,000 miles. Its true Mercedes makes this engine to go 300,000+ Also you notice that they dont get beat up. These cars with high miles look good on the outside well built automobile. Also the saying from Mercedes They say the have odometers not to record the miles But the Memories. .....So true. Well i purchased this car from a friend couple years ago. The only reason selling is this past January I had spinal surgery. Missed work so need to sell.. BUT i will purchase another one in the future when time allows. The car just went for a service at Mercedes in Little Silver NJ and had oil change, new tire's, greased etc.The car could do with a good clean, there are concrete splashes on hood and scratches here and there so should be professionally cleaned or painted, it does have a hard top but the rear glass has a crack in it, the passenger seat is stuck forward and needs a new cylinder in seat to get it working also one of the locking cylinders for the roof leaks oil due to seal gone, these are all easy fixes, I'm just seeing if there is any interest at this price otherwise I will go via the courts to get title and put the price up.

Top is in good condition with new rear windows. Top hydraulics work as intended with no leaks. CLEAN MARYLAND TITLE. CARFAX SHOWS REBUILT TITLE IN 2000 WITH 10k MILES. With only 100,350 miles on the odometer, this classic is just broken in. This is 1 of 770 produced in 1997-considered the finest year for these vehicles. Engine and transmission are great, and body is 8/10 and interior 8/10. Minor wear on driver bolster(thread has separated and has been taped to minimize wear). Top is in good condition with new rear windows. Top hydraulics work as intended with no leaks. CLEAN MARYLAND TITLE. CARFAX SHOWS REBUILT TITLE IN 2000 WITH 10k MILES. Have adjusted price accordingly. Use as daily driver or weekend cruiser. Has passed NC Emissions Test. I've owned the 6-8-12 cylinder R129 and the V12 is by far my favorite.
