Up for sale is a 1998 Buick Riviera in White Diamond Tri-coat with sandstone leather seating, chrome rims, and a factory 3.8L Supercharged V6. The car is one owner and was driven all its life by an older lady in our family. This car has been good to her all its life, but the owner recently decided to treat herself to a new Buick, so she needs to sell this one. Being that it was driven by an older lady, there have been a total of three minor parking lot incidents which resulted in painting the right side of the car twice and repairing the hood once - this will be evident in the car history included in the ad. Otherwise, this car has never been in any major collision on a roadway. Additionally, the cup holder lid on the center console will not stay closed, the driver side mirror is darker in color (due to heated mirrors), there is a dime-size paint bubble where the front fender meets the front bumper and a new muffler seal is needed as there is a slight leak. These are the only issues that I am aware of on this vehicle and I'm being as transparent as possible so there are no surprises. In terms of the transmission and engine, everything is smooth and runs as it should. It still gets around 23 mpg combined. No check engine lights. The Riviera shifts smoothly, has a nice ride, ample power, and very low road noise. There are no tears in the leather (people rarely sat in the rear), it is a non-smoker car, the stereo system is basically new (old owner was deaf and never used the radio), and the car has the factory chrome rims with the hard to find factory Riviera center caps (not the aftermarket ones). Also, a remote starter was installed so the vehicle could be warmed or cooled from within the house! This car has had all of its regular maintenance including oil changes every 3,000 miles. It also has an up to date New York State inspection. There are many new parts which include: a new water pump, new power steering pump and power steering fluid hoses, new alternator, new belts, new intake manifold gasket, new supercharger gasket, new fuel pump, and new rear air shocks all within the past year. The radiator was also replaced 2 years ago. The A/C is working and is ice-cold with climate control and dual-zone control. Summary of features include: Cruise control, power driver and passenger seats, leather, heated seats, Concert II Sound System, factory chrome rims, remote car starter, and key-less entry with two sets of factory GM keys and fobs. I have done the following in very recent months: Converted the road-sensing suspension to a more reliable passive system. I have retained the automatic load-leveling feature which works perfectly. New ACDelco Air conditioner compressor, dryer-receiver and orifice tube. New idler pulley, tensioner arm pulley and harmonic balancer. New brakes all around. New battery. New serpentine belt. Complete cooling system flush and refilled with Prestone long life coolant. This is my 6th Northstar car, and I have NEVER had any trouble with overheating. This one has the advantage of being a pre-DexCool car! It has NEVER seen the orange stuff. It has always had non-silica long life anti-freeze however. Furthermore this one does not leak oil like most of my others have. You can see a picture of the oil pan and transmission pan featured on this listing. This is my daily driver. It is reliable. I get 21-23 mpg in Tucson boulevard driving and 25-28 mpg on the freeway at 75-80 mph. Everything works. All power accessories work. It runs great, and rides nice and sporty (for a Cadillac) with the recent, expensive suspension work done on it. It has a Sony 10 CD changer in the trunk. NO TRADES! First year for the Fleetwood Brougham with the LT-1 Corvette 5.7 engine, collectable! Beautiful, well maintained low mileage creampuff. Fully optioned, loaded. This time capsule has been in the rust free environment of the desert southwest since new. Truly a garage kept beauty that is the last of the true "old school" GM Luxury cars. Driven less than 4000 miles a year, this Caddy is barely broken in. If you are familiar with these models, they are known to typically give good service upwards of a quarter million miles. Michelin tires with 75% tread, all around and has a full size spare tire. This baby is ready to take you anywhere the road allows. Note: Raised white letter tires have been remounted to show black sidewalls outward. Being a Brougham, I cannot think of any option it does not have, other than towing package. The 100% original paint still has the shiny mirror gloss. What a pleasure to drive! Easily gets 23-26 mpg effortlessly cruising at 70 mph. A very solid and stable feeling ride that is surprisingly nimble through mountainous terrain. All trim, weather stripping and other plastic or rubber parts are in great condition. No nusance items noted or experienced to take away from your envelope of luxury. Very clean undercarriage and engine compartment. Air Conditioner blows cold, heater is toasty and ride is quiet and smooth. Passed emissions with the greatest of ease. This car has been well loved and respected by all 3 owners. Oh and it is quite powerful. It eats up the freeway. EVERYTHING works. Some of the modifications I have done: Wheels (obviously). 2.5" to 2.25" exhaust with turbo mufflers and X pipe. Severe duty shocks. I also installed a larger rear anti-sway bar. In essence it now effectively has a FE2 handling package. And most importantly the PCM has been reprogrammed for several advantages. 1. No speed limiter. 2. Primary and secondary fans come on at lower temperatures each. 3. Transmission downshifts easier and holds longer under stronger acceleration. 4. Shifts are a bit firmer than stock for longevity, less slippage. And it has a 160 thermostat. I also have installed new brakes front and rear. Did a complete grease job, all front end zerks, differential grease, and wheel bearings. The cooling system was completely flushed, but upon doing it I saw all fluid was already pristine. I refilled with Prestone extended life coolant. There are no fluid leaks. The original owner was a GM executive and special ordered this to his tastes. Included is every single detail of service records while in he had it. He maintained this baby to the nth degree. The second owner acquired this Fleetwood shortly after the original owner died and used it extensively for long road trips, touring the USA. He probably put 30,000 interstate miles on it himself, as it has just over 40,000 when he bought it a few years ago. Just before I bought it the entire A/C system was rebuilt, including a new Delco compressor (new, not rebuilt). While I had it, I had the radio completely rebuilt as well as the power antenna. I installed a period correct Delco dealer option 10 CD changer in the trunk. This Caddy is truly rust-free. No not Chicago or New York "rust-free" not Florida "rust-free" but Arizona rust free!! This is the BEST car I have ever owned. But I cannot fully shut my garage door because the Caddy is about 5 inches too long. So, I have to settle for my second best car I have ever owned, a Buick Roadmaster.
