This truck is Pretty clean for its age and has a few minor imperfections, a very presentable truck to have in your fleet and very reliable. Its 2 wheel drive with a 5.7l vortec engine and 4l80e Transmission. Truck as 142168 original miles on it. Starts and runs beautiful, shifts smooth and has always been well maintained and does not leak any fluids. The cab is rust free, not a speck of rust anywhere, the Stahl body how ever does have its typical Stahl rust spots. The bed is a 6 door Stahl Grand Challenger with a ladder rack. The bed has been coated with a protective durable bed liner, and all doors open properly. The bed does not have a key for the locks. The trucks interior is very clean with only minor imperfections. No cracks in the dash, dash cup holder works (they are normally always broken) the seat is very comfortable, radio works great, has manual windows and locks, floor is black rubber. All the original IFS suspension brackets have been cleaned from the frame, then primed and painted satin black like the factory should have done it! This truck is my Toy, it hasn’t been driven in rain or winters since it was completed but, I do drive it daily in the summer with zero issues! All maintenance items have been strictly OEM ACDELCO replacement parts. Mechanically the truck needs nothing. It gets between 10-13 mpg. The truck DOES have original paint and has never been wrecked or painted on ever! It does have typical wear marks and small dings here and there as a “normal” driver would have since it wasn’t always a “show” truck LOL. Truck is and was always adult owned and maintained. All emissions are in place and passes smog as it should. I built this truck to drive and drive well, this isn’t your typical solid axle backyard conversion, I spent a TON of time and money making sure this truck drove just as good as any lifted IFS truck with similar tires and wheels. I don’t have to sell and really don’t know if I want to I am just at the point I am bored with it and ready to build something else. I will truly hate to see this truck go!! for sale here is a 1998 chevy k3500 with 88k miles on it. It runs very well and drives very well but there is an issue with the transmission. The transmission shifts through all the gears fine but sometimes while on the highway shifts itself out of overdrive. If you pull over shut it off and start it back up, it shifts fine til it does it again. It may happen a few times throughout the course of an hour while on the highway or it may not happen at all. Around town it does not happen at all and shifts fine. Worst case scenario the transmission needs to be rebuilt. There is a transmission slip code on the computer. I have put a tremendous amount of money into this truck and dont want to put anymore into it. It has a new motor, new fuel tank fuel pump, all new brake lines, new calipers, new control arms, new alternator, battery, too much stuff to list. There is no rot at all on this truck and it is super clean. The frame is in beautiful condition. There is some body damage in the rear right quarter panel of the truck. I am open to offers, if you repair the transmission this would be a great truck.
