The reason that the jeep is priced as is is due to the fact of the time money and effort I put into this jeep. granted i wish i could keep it and make it my full time wheeler but moving to a place that lacks geographical diversity. while overseas i had a 4.5" rubicon express lift installed, 4:10 gears, cut fenders for more flex, axle up grades, limited slip dif (because every day driver at the time), bilstein 5100 shocks, stainless steal break lines, 33" x10.5" KM2 tires with spare, 15" black aluminum rims (don't remember the brand off hand), center console switch to black, sound system with 10" sub and two amps with mid and high speaker replacement, OR FAB tube front bumper, JCR rear bumper with lights, new header just haven't had the time to instal it, new aluminum engine gaskets, upgraded coil for higher amperage, cold air intake, and many other small things. Jeep has amazing low end torque for off roading and works great other than the cosmetic issues. this jeep would be a prime candidate for an exo cage and a person with the time. if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Selling my very clean 1998 jeep Cherokee 2 door 5 speed 4x4. It's a rare chili pepper red color which the photos don't do justice in my opinion. Has the bulletproof 4.0 inline 6 cylinder mated up to a tough as nails ax-15 manual transmission coupled to a np231 transfers case. Everything works as it should jeep needs nothing and is ready to go. There is no rust on the jeep so please don't ask. This includes rocker panels and inside of the doors and floor pans. Jeep was garage kept since new. Heat and ac and power windows all work. Stereo sounds amazing. Interior is very clean and still has a new car smell believe it or not. Keyless entry works and is very handy hassle free way to lock the doors on this jeep. It also has a rare overhead console option which displays avg fuel economy, compass, and outdoor temp. I have all the service records to go along with the jeep showing everything that has ever been done to the jeep to include regular maintenance, as well as frequent detailings. Few people know that the 1998 Cherokees are the best years for the "bulletproof 4.0" however in 2000 and 2001 they did away with the distributor and went with an individual coil pack. they also change the heads. the coil packs are finicky and the new heads are far inferior to the previous heads and will inevitably fail way before the jeep reaches its "300,000+ miles" this jeep with continued maintenance will live past 300k. $6500Please feel free to ask any questions or ask for additional pictures. For Sale is my lifted but NEVER offroaded white '98 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4wd with only 83000 orig miles ! I bought it 3yrs ago totally stock from a dealer on east coast for $9K (56K mi) and then had many upgrades put on by local dealers such as 4" lift (w/long-arm & trackbar), custom front bumper, Cooper Discoverer STT 32" tires, Blackrock rims, very nice sound system (pro-installed) that includes upgraded speakers, amp, Kicker sub, Alpine stereo(removable faceplate,cd,HD-radio,Bluetooth,Sirius/XM-ready). Bluetooth mic installed. Automatic transmission, clean title in hand. Very little rust, only 2 owners. I had it re-painted in Dec by Maaco. Garage kept. Interior is tan cloth fabric and dash/trim is black. Front bumper/foglights are custom from JCR Offroad. Regularly maintained and the only thing it may need now/soon is a cat converter and maybe a trans flush & PS flush. Tinted windows, window visors. I do not have a matching spare tire. Also, when Maaco painted it they removed the decals & I haven't put them back on yet. This jeep looks & runs great, gets compliments all the time ! It off-roads extremely well, and has served me well as a daily driver! Well over $15,000 dollars in extras and upgrades, along with countless hours of work has been put into this Jeep. I have used ONLY TOP OF THE LINE PARTS throughout this Jeep and spared no expenses when it came to building this thing. I am obviously not expecting to get even close to the money invested into it back. If you know anything about Jeeps and how much it costs to do this kind of work you will agree this is a great deal for you. Runs and drives great. Rare and Beautiful "Chili Pepper Red" paint and tan interior. A/C and heater work great, has an awesome sound system, Engine runs super strong, Automatic transmission shifts smoothly, 4x4 works great. This is the perfect daily driver and weekend warrior, It will take you anywhere you want to go. 99%+ of the miles I have put on it are highway miles. The off-road terrain it has seen has been way below its capability; mainly for camping trips with my wife and 1 year old daughter. With the exception of "Moab Rim" and "Metal Masher" in Moab, where it did extremely well and did not have the slightest problem getting through any of the obstacles. I built it to be able to navigate pretty much anything without breaking or having issues.It is Adult driven has been very, very well maintained. The oil was changed with full synthetic oil every 3,000 miles almost on the dot. Air Filter changed/cleaned at every oil change. The Transmission fluid, Transfer Case fluid, Differential Fluid and Radiator fluid was changed every 10,000-15,000 miles.A complete tune-up was just performed that included new Oil/Filter, OEM Spark Plugs, radiator flush, Transmission fluid & Filter, Transfer Case fluid, Brake fluid bled, Flushed power steering fluid, and both Differential fluids. EVERY LAST FLUID HAS BEEN CHANGED WITHIN THE PAST 300 MILES!It passed safety and emissions/smog inspection with flying colors, I will include the documentation. TONS of NEW parts have been installed on this Jeep within the last 500-3,000 miles. It was also just fully detailed, and it looks great inside and out.It has a 4 Link, Y-Link Suspension up front. It performs ridiculously well off road and has been a great daily driver. It Does Not handle like a sports car, so do not expect it to. It handles like a lifted Jeep and may take a little driving to get used to, like any lifted vehicle. It looks and runs Excellent!
