1998 Volvo V70 XC AWD We are pleased to present this very nice 1998 Volvo V70 XC AWD. There are several things that make this car quite special, and I'll try to make sure that I list all of them for those that are not quite as familiar with these Volvos. These 98-00 V70s are developing quite a following among our customers, and we are constantly having people asking us to find nice examples of them (because of our reputation as a seller of volvos of this vintage). We scour the country looking for the finest examples of these cars. We often come across them, but rarely in the fantastic condition of this particular one. These cars were in production since the eary 90s (as the 850), and then from 1998-2000 they were lightly redesigned and made more luxurious and sold as the V70. These final versions of Volvo's first front wheel drive car are perhaps one of the most reliable Volvos ever made! In fact, the engine and transmission configuration in this car will have no problem eating all of the miles you throw at it. We have seen several of these with 300, 400, and even 500k miles! Now, on top of all of the things that make this 1998 V70 XC special, this is also very, very well optioned. It's stuffed with options like the Touring Packge, Leather, Moonroof, Stability and Traction Control, and the EXTREMELY RARE REAR HEATED SEATS! It has front heated seats too, but those are pretty common. This is as highly optioned as a V70XC can be in the 1999 model year! Going anywhere in the winter is now something you'll never have to worry about. These V70 XCs feature the very first iteration of Haldex's All Wheel Drive. Hadex is a Swedish based company which does nothing but design and manufacture all wheel drive systems. Their systems have come to be used in makes and models in various car companies, and even in extremely high performance cars such as the new Volvo S60 Polestar. The first generation of this system is regarded as many Volvo enthusiasts as being the best for winter traction. It also has a winter mode for the transmission which starts the car out in second gear to prevent wheel spin. This car has had two owners and was purchased by its second owner as a Certified Pre-Owned Volvo from a Volvo dealership. The original owner bought this car through Volvo Overseas Delivery Tourist/Diplomat sales. They special ordered the car and picked it up at the factory in Sweden. This is likely how it ended up with the exceptionally rare rear heated seats. The car was just traded into a Volvo dealership on a new Volvo by its second owners. The interior of this V70 is in very good condition. In fact, overall, this is one of the nicest interiors we've ever seen in one of these cars. The tan leather seats are in nearly perfect condition for the car's age with no tears. They're still quite soft, and feel great. Everything in the interior works including the air conditioning, which is ice cold. The car has the upgraded high-performance alpine/volvo sound system with 10 speakers and a CD/Cassette player. It's easy to use, and sounds excellent. It also has a power moonroof. The previous owner of this car was definitely a non-smoker. These cars don't even come with cigarette lighters, just power outlets. There is a cup holder that accommodates two beverages. This Volvo has dual front airbags, as well as front side airbags. The side airbags are part of a system called SIPS which stands for "Side Impact Protection System." This is a combination of high-strength door beams, specially designed door openings, and side airbags, which keeps the passengers safe in the event of a side impact. The rear seats fold flat (both the second and third row seats), and the passenger front seat also folds down for carrying very long cargo. The exterior of this V70 is in remarkably good condition for the year and miles, and is Polar White in color. This is one of the harder to find colors for these cars, and the bright white color really pops and is very striking. The exterior of this car is just gorgeous, and the paint is in wonderful condition. It's obvious that this car was garaged for its life. The car has very nice 15" alloy wheels which are in great condition. The lug bolts are nice and shiny and not rusted at all. This V70 also has the roof rails that are exclusive to the XC models. The tires are all in nice shape with excellent tread life remaining. They are all matching Michelins. The brakes are in good shape and the car stops as it should. The legendary 2.4 Liter low-pressure turbocharged 5 cylinder engine runs flawlessly and is very smooth. The transmission also operates properly. It's very smooth, while still shifting crisply. All of the car's accessories work including the power windows and moonroof. These cars rarely have mechanical problems. The 98-00 models have always been good sellers for us as they are a good value and are capable of very high mileage. These vehicles are spacious, comfortable, safe, reliable, efficient, and durable. This example is a clean, 1 owner, low mileage, local Southern car. It is unique in that it is a base model with cloth seats, a simple interior, wheel covers, no moon roof etc. It doesn't have the features most V70's have, but it also has less to go wrong. The only options are a power seat and the folding cargo/pet barrier in the back. While it seems to have been maintained over the years, we still performed a thorough service in preparation for sale. This included an oil change, new tires, a brake fluid flush and many new parts: cabin filter, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, cap & rotor, wiper blades, upper engine mount, left front axle boots and lower ball joint. It is inspected, has been cleaned and is ready for a second owner. Due to the age, we cannot arrange financing. 188k miles Front and rear bumpers a little rough. Missing right side fog light and the other one doesn't work. Hood lightly sanded to flat because of tree sap I think it can be buffed glossy again. Low beams not working I think it's just bulbs. Power locks don't work I don't know why. Engine runs well. Radiator is new oil cooler and trans cooler lines are new, you will need to replace heater lines. Front struts and strut mounts were replaced 8 months ago when I bought the car. You get 3 New Blizzaks I had a set of 4 on but I damaged the sidewall on one of them so I have 2 in the rear and 2 different tires in the front the third Blizzaks is off the car but included. Clean interior including the original R floor mats. I have a rear bumper in very good condition and a front which is better than the one on the car you can buy yhem if you want. The AWD works fine. No rust.

This Volvo is in great condition, my wife and I really enjoy these wagons, we've gone camping many times. The back seats fold down easily to make a flat, carpeted area. We've also got a band and can easily transport all our gear. We recently bought it from a retired veteran who took great care of it. It has new tires, and lots of engine work and upgrades. We have all previous service records. There are no leaks. The brakes are in good working order. No squeaks or strange sounds. Clean title and recently passed smog. Runs great, really nice family car with lots of room. We are selling it because we recently got back a car of ours that was stolen and we no longer need this one. To make the purchase you must come pick it up yourself in the central valley of California, near Modesto, or pay between $1200 and $1600 to have it transported to you.

Selling my very clean 1998 Volvo V70 XC Wagon Cross Country. Volvos are known for their reliability and safety and longevity and I honestly can say this car is a particularly nice one and well maintained by me and all the previous owners! I have a carfax from when I purchased the car 2 years ago and it shows no accidents and no negatives on the car whatsoever. I actually purchased this car from a Carmax mechanic who purchased it from them and owned it for 7 years and as many of you know Carmax only keeps the best of the best while they send the others off to the auction! It is a nice Bronze color with Tan leather interior, fully loaded with Cold A/C and good heather for winter, power windows and doors, sunroof, heated seats, headlight wipers, Am/Fm Cassette. It only has 128,849 miles and is All Wheel Drive so it is great in snow. It has the trustworthy 2.4L Turbo 5 cylinder engine which is top notch and always starts right up even in the coldest of days, but I must admit it is not particularly fast but is very safe and reliable and it would be a perfect first car for a high schoolers or college kid. This Volvo is in very good shape for its age, no rust and the paint looks good, there are a few minor door dings on the car from parking lots, and the worst ding is in the back where you can see it in the photos but it not that bad. The front and rear bumpers have little marks in various places but again not terrible, Front headlights and turn signals look new as it had a protective plastic covering which was on since new but reasonably removed because they were yellowing. The tires are only a few years old but and are in excellent condition. I have owned it for 2 years and honestly was planning on keeping it forever but I have use it so infrequently that I see no point on paying for the insurance since I have only driven it 8000 miles since purchased. The seats are in good shape with no rips or tears. All around, this car is really allot for the money being and would great in your driveway! The car has: New front brakes (rotors and pads) Battery is only 1 year old Timing Belt was replace at 102740 miles Turbo Silicone Hose kit installed Tires are fairly new with about 10000 miles on them Please check out my other items and be sure to also add me to your favorites list!
